Perfekt place to celebrate special occasions .
Located on top of Salzburg with an amazing view of the city, offering international cuisine.
If you looking for a romantic place with a fabulous castle atmosphere, I strongly recommend this Schloß Hotel.
Stayed for 2 nights. Could not fault anything from arrival till departure. All the staff were very pleasant and friendly. Whole hotel was spotless. Hand a meal on one night in the Glass Garden- it was as good as any Michelin star restaurant I've been too. Staff were more than happy to answer any questions about the area. Special mention to Torsten who works in the evening/nights- good fun and gave lots of info about the history.
Everything was within walking distance. The lift from street level to the hotel was very convenient and you will stop at the top each time to admire the view.
Lots of good bars and restaurants only a few minutes walk from the bottom of the lift.
Will definitely be back!!!
Hotel Schloss Monchstein is 5 stars for a reason; their staff. We needed a place to wind down after two full days at Oktoberfest and this hotel was recommended to us by a couple of friends. So glad we stayed here! We traveled with another couple and upon arrival we were greeted with glasses of champagne. The accommodations were very comfortable and the pool/sauna were extremely relaxing, exactly what we needed.
My fiance was planning on proposing on our second night and was planning it from the US. The hotel manager, Natalia, communicated with him over several months to ensure that everything would be taken care of and suggested the perfect spot overlooking Salzburg to propose. We dined in the restaurant afterwards and had an amazing meal. Everyone did such a beautiful job to make everything so special for us.
It was hard to leave and I wish I could have moved in, but I find solace in knowing that we will be back! There's so much more to share about this amazing experience, but you'll just have to go and find out for yourself.
Small establishment but service is world class. Much better than a lot of the five stars international hotels out there. Breakfast is superb too. As a guest, you will feel extremely welcomed and well taken care of.
We stayed in the hotel in the off season so it was quiet, but by far the nicest place we stayed in Austria. The room was gorgeous, staff helpful and the restaurant was delicious. It is a walk to town, but we thoroughly enjoyed walking through the gorgeous park to town. You are able to take the museum elevator right down to the town. It took maybe 5-10 minutes to walk to the elevator. The weather was lovely in October so this walk was very much enjoyed. breakfast is great with top notch service. Welcome champagne was awesome. I just can't say enough about the staff. Everyone made us feel so spoiled and so welcome. The hotel itself is a perfect mix of modern and historic! Will visit again!
