La Bastide de Ramatuelle
What We Love
- Four-star hillside retreat in a pretty village near Saint-Tropez, with breakfast and a welcome drink Being wonderfully close to the glitzy Côte d’Azur town of Saint-Tropez
- Sharing sand space with the beautiful people at nearby Pampelonne Beach
- Delicious Mediterranean and regional dishes at the open-air restaurant
What To Know
- Located less than half a mile from the center of town
- Hotel staff speak French, English, and Italian
- Pets are allowed on request
- Free WiFi works well
Adored by the glitterati for its sparkling sands, turquoise-tinted waters, swanky hotel scene and gleaming mega-yachts, the billionaire’s playground of Saint-Tropez is one of the most iconic spots on the French Riviera. So the setting for this chic little resort couldn’t be better; in the quaint hillside village Rouillere, just five kilometres from the heart of the action.
There are only nine guest rooms, all of which are individually-styled and have whitewashed walls with playful pop-art prints, sleek wooden fixtures and fittings, and double beds dressed with crisp white linens. Further hotel highlights include a mosaic-clad outdoor pool and an on-site gallery that showcases the works of French contemporary artist Sylvie Pages.
Spend your days sharing sand space with A-listers (possibly) on the star-studded Pampelonne Beach, stocking up on cheese and olives at Place des Lices market, and taking sunset cruises to gaze at the coastal mansions. Once you’re done with sightseeing, head back for Mediterranean and Côte d’Azur cooking followed by a glass of wine (or two) from one of the local vineyards.
How to Get There
We had a pleasant stay in this bastide in Saint-Tropez. Everything is perfectly decorated, the place is quiet and very well located. Our hosts were good tips to visit the area. The fresh and homemade breakfast was a treat. We will come back !
Stayed at this small hotel for one night. The room is very nice with a great bed and all high end equipment. There's a green pool, and right next to it breakfast is served. Breakfast offer a great choice, and is delicious! But above all it's the service and the people that makes this place great. They have staff speaking English as well as Russian. It's quite secluded and therefore would be a great choice to just relax. Highly recommended to anyone travelling in the area!
Charming location, a tad out of the beaten path, very discrete personal....all that one would need to get away from the party circuit and really spend quality time with your partner. I recommand highly
What a terrific experience.
Pierre, Martina and Servak deserve a special mention. Nothing was too much trouble. Restaurants and trips were booked with accuracy and with great detail.
We couldn't recommend this 'boutique' hotel with higher praise.
The room, not the highest rated, was perfect. Clean and of a high spec.
Breakfast around the pool was a delight.
Easy access to the region and only 15mins from the vibrant St. Tropez.
Thank you very much
