How to Get There
Enjoyed a delicious Brunch in lovely surroundings with friendly service from everyone.
The buffet was extensive & provided great choices for all generations ....the desserts were really fun & loved by children !
Highly recommend !
Lovely property. Great people/ staff. Gorgeous beach. I'd rate this place higher but we have been without water at our resort for almost 24hrs with no definite resolution in sight. It seems the Barbados Water Authority has a problem at the Carlton St. James Water Pumping station. But resorts further south (eg. Fairmont, Sandy Lane) don't seem to be affected. Perhaps they have the foresight to have a backup water reservoir in case of water shortages?
Sandals is building their family resort next door (Beaches ). Lagoonfront 1Bdrm units (only the series ending in #55 have lagoon & oceanview). Need to get a 2 or 3bdrm unit to be on the best beach on the south side of the boat access waterway & pier restaurant. Snorkeling off the beach is quite good. Housekeeping is good. Our unit needs a little TLC. No TV in your bedroom tho'. Only in living room but our child is sleeping there on the pullout. Haven't tried satellite TV yet. Kitchen window & entry front door is made of slatted wood so environmentally inefficient (cold room a/c escapes out, warm air & some road noise comes in ). Our unit backs onto parking lot & then main road. Bedroom window has been covered with sealed glass so it's quieter but road noise comes in thru front door wood slats so our daughter heard it at bedtime. The beachfront villas are the best location away from road, right on beach if u can spring for the extra cost it's great.
I can't even begin to express how outstanding this property is.....Port St. Charles is a real paradise! We enjoyed our beautiful accommodation and absolutely loved the beaches.
We snorkled every day and for the first time in all our holidays down south were able to see countless fish (& a couple of turtles!) in the waters RIGHT off the beaches! No need to take any snorkling trips!
We enjoyed the pool at the yacht club daily and spent a couple afternoons on the loungers with a frosty beer.
All the staff we encountered during our week at Port St. Charles were very friendly and helpful and we hope to be back again.
Went to this new restaurant in Barbados Dockside at 13/59 port st Charles, the food was excellent from the taste of the food to the menu Choice And presentation The best I have had in Barbados in seven years going to Barbados.
We enjoyed our week in a lovely ground floor apartment overlooking the marina. It had a well fitted bedroom and bathroom with double vanity unit, a fully equipped kitchen plus washer/dryer and breakfast bar. The comfortable open plan sitting area had French doors opening onto the outside dining area and terrace which led down to the marina and very pleasant swimming pool area. The beach was clean and good for swimming and some snorkelling. All the staff were helpful and friendly and food shopping orders were delivered daily.
Good local restaurants especially Hugo’s.
