How to Get There
We visited Barbados the week of October 10, 2019, as a couple. After enjoying several days’ beautiful weather, warm ocean, sandy beach and pleasant hospitality of the people of Barbados, we arranged a private 3-1/2 hour tour with Mr Paul Payne of the perimeter of the island to see the most popular and prominent geographical highlights. It was an excellent orientation for us, and it certainly introduced us to places we would never have seen if we sat at the hotel all week and to places now on our list for future visits to the island. Prior to our vacation, we had thoroughly researched Barbados from a visitor’s viewpoint and had come across reviews about Paul on Trip Advisor, and also of other tour providers for comparison. We then encountered Paul as he was strolling the beach near the Radisson Hotel marketing his services. Recognizing his name, we arranged our tour for the next day. Paul arrived promptly at 9:30 AM at the Radisson Hotel in a beautiful and well-appointed Toyota Noah minivan (could easily seat six to seven passengers), a very comfortable vehicle. This tour flowed in a logical manner as we passed through Bridgetown, Holetown, Gibbes, Speightstown, North Point, Cherry Tree Hill and Bathsheba. We stopped awhile at several locations, allowing to take in the view, snap some photos and stretch our legs. Nearing the end of our tour, Paul informed us that he also provides airport transfer service, so we booked him for our departure from the hotel to the airport and this was provided at a price that was not only competitive but lower than the cost of a regular taxi. Paul was an outstanding host. He is a professional in his approach to tourism, well-spoken (in the English language), friendly, outgoing, informative and overall an impressive representative of his nation. We highly recommend Paul for private tours and for airport transfers. Thank you Mr Paul Payne!
Very clean and comfortable hotel on the ocean. Great staff and accommodations. The meals are a bit pricy for the quality, but good. If you are on a budget, eating out may be an option. This was a great place to stay as accommodations for boarding a cruise ship, which was only a short taxi ride from the hotel.
I arrived at the hotel at 10:30 and a food plate was provided for me, at no additional cost.
Room was clean and spacious. Had excellent view of the ocean and surroundings.
The range of items available for breakfast was very wide and the taste was sumptous.
