stayed due to location, once stayed at another stl hilton in a less 'fancy' part of town, that one had in the lobby water/coffee/tea - not this one. wing off parking lot, COLD. room dark. staff friendly

We went for a one night stay. We picked a room the day before. When we got ther the clerk was on the phone making reservations with someone, it took a few minutes. After that every thing went fast. Our room was really nice. We met our daughter in the restaurant for dinner. It was good. they had some good beer at the bar, I liked that. The room was quiet and we liked that a lot. Check out was fast and they thanked us for staying. This is a nice hotel

Room was clean, comfortable, with serene decor. Comfortable bed with nice sheets and pillows. Easy to adjust room temperature. Quick hot water--no minutes long wait! Successfully used smartphone based electronic room key and check-in/check out process--worked flawlessly.Found it easy to send a document to the business center and print it. Long, long hallways to navigate. Strangely, they used stiff, scratchy single-ply toilet paper in the restroom, a small thing, but it diminished my opinion of a hotel that got everything else right.

I am a Hilton Diamond so I have a lot of experience at Hiltons. Very disappointed in this stay. I called at 5am about a noise waking me up and shaking the room so badly that the lamps were rattling. I called the operator who said they would send security to investigate. No one came or ever called me back. I finally figured out that I THINK it was from the fitness center. If so, they could have said so (and more importantly WARNED guests about the problem upon check in - I couldn’t be the only complaint). when I mentioned it at checkout, no response. I mentioned it a second time and finally received a VERY distracted “sorry about that”. Again, no explanation of what it might have been - either they knew it was the fitness center and would not admit or else they could care less what was making lamps rattle and waking up guests at 5am. No offer to try to make it up - free breakfast (I wasn’t bothering with the lousy elite lounge breakfast again) or even the normal lame Hilton Pts offer.

Also my room was in a separate Building that was 1/4-1/6 MILE from the front desk/restaurant/elite lounge (I measured with my Fitbit). No warning of that upon room assignment to ask if it was a problem - I was having a back issue from lots of plane travel. Elite lounge was tiny and fare was disappointing. Rooms were outdated. Only upside is that the king suite was large and the restaurant food was quite good. Will not stay again on future trips to STL.

This hotel has very unprofessional staff, especially the van drivers they are rude and have nasty attitudes. If you need a ride somewhere your better off Bering or renting a car and don’t count on the staff to do anything about it they just laugh it off like it’s nothing when almost every customer complains about the van drivers, especially one particular one with glasses and no hair. He’s been there the longest and doesn’t care about the customers or his job.
