How to Get There
Stunning hotel. But the sheets felt like sand paper and the bed was not good. The hotel staff was very friendly. But our room was across the hall from the ballroom/meeting room, so the hallway was noisy.
Hotel was beautiful. Service was great. Found a great deal for St Patrick’s day weekend. It was in a safe location right off I-64. The beds were so comfortable and the pillows a Dream. I am a pillow snob.😂 Close to the metro link which was great since it was very busy downtown for the parade. I will stay there again. Hey
Needed a hotel for the family from which we could get to the Zoo, the Museum and Downtown. This hotel is right off the interstate and makes those destinations easily accessible. The price was about half that of other similar quality hotels nearer downtown. The hotel is in a very safe area with good restaurant options nearby. The hotel proved to be well maintained and staffed and everything went smoothly. It really was a good value. Would stay there again.
This was by far the worst experience I had at a Hilton property. I will never stay at this hotel again. From the front desk, to the hotel room, and to the restaurant, horrible customer service. I truly believe this hotel needs a course in cultural diversity training because several staff members were basically disrespectful and that should never happen when an organization such as ours contracts services with this hotel for over 300 attendees. I could not wait to leave St. Louis and this hotel.
The front desk staff seemed overwhelmed and just couldn't get the guests attending the conference with my organization checked in efficiently and in a timely manner. The restaurant staff needs cultural diversity training or simple customer service training because my group had issues several times with some of the staff to which a manager needed to be contacted several times. Just horrible. I heard "sorry" so much during my four days there, it was ridiculous. Don't be sorry, be efficient and customer focused.
I hated my guest room. I asked for a King Deluxe (that was the official title of the room) and I got what looked to be a dormitory. Just horribly small for it to be a King Deluxe room in the main hotel building. This was much of my customer abrasion because I struggled to get into the room as the king-sized bed was positioned right at the door opening and that is not to mention the tiny bathroom with the toilet right at the door. I didn't have a large enough area to put all my toiletries in the bathroom and to arrange my beverages and snacks as there was a make shift shelf where the coffee maker, water, and ice bucket sat. I've never had such a poor experience with a hotel room from a Hilton property. On my first night, it took the housekeeping staff some time to clean my room, it was after 1-2pm when they finally got to it. Unacceptable because I left every morning for conference.
1) Streamline check-in and checkout for large volume of guests (this was a conference) and I was not the only person with issues.
2) Make sure that the rooms reserved are the rooms received, too many issues with this to count. There were issues with a large volume of our conference attendees.
3) Train staff to be customer focused and how to service different cultural guests. Not everyone is Caucasian.
4) Make appropriate accommodations when there is a problem; I felt that nothing I had an issue with was resolved to my satisfaction.
Walking distance to restaurants, clean, friendly staff, free shuttle available to local businesses. Restaurant under renovation as of Mar 2019. Staff volunteered to put our coffee in 'to go' cups after breakfast.
