The Lowdown
Art lovers have a lot to look forward to at this rather hip nine-room guesthouse, which is situated on the second floor of a 17th-century building in the Eternal City. And the location’s not bad either; smack bang in the heart of Rione Ponte - the historic district that’s home to an eclectic mix of trendy bars and cafés, upscale restaurants, and one-of-a-kind boutiques.
Opened in 2014, this little place has created a big buzz; mostly for its intimate set up and contemporary-cool styling. All of the guest rooms assure sleek décor, comfortable beds, flatscreen TVs with satellite channels, and lovely en-suite bathrooms with NUXE toiletries. And then, of course, there’s the rotating collection of art pieces proudly displayed on the walls.
While there’s no restaurant, you can enjoy sweet Italian-style breakfasts in the hotel’s living room each morning - or order straight to your room if you don’t fancy getting out of bed. Also worthy of your attention is the reading room that’s kitted out with a PC and printer, and the on-site Spazio Arte gallery that showcases original works by emerging modern artists and students.
