How to Get There
The environment and service is exotic. The style is unique and charm. Well equipped with enough parking lots in the badement. Suitable for escape time. The licatiin is great if yiu have work relatiin in any if the site business suits.
This is our 3rd stay in Riyadh, a wonderful city with great people, and 4th hotel.
Al Mashreq may be a better property by, say, 2019, when construction around the hotel is complete. We were not notified in advance of the construction as you would expect when making a reservation, and the noise, even at night, was terrible. Management seemed surprised that this was a complaint. A note from Management in the rooms indicate construction will be done by May 2018, but looking out the window there is no way.
The construction also made it impossible to go for a walk. I appreciate that walking is not really part of the culture due to heat, dust, but I like to walk and explore, and could not do that here due to barriers and obstructions.
The room service people and cleaning staff were excellent. Polite, prompt and efficient. Front desk people, also, were very good, as were the conference staff.
The rest of the experience was sub-par. The rooms are dark, the lighting controls overly complicated and the shower fills with water by your feet as the water flow exceeds drain capacity. There are no 110V plugs anywhere, so bring an adaptor (most hotels here do have dual plug systems). On the upside, rooms have Nespresso expresso machines and capsules are supplied daily.
The buffet is honestly terrible. It is overpriced (200+ Riyals for dinner) and the food is not good and the same every day. I found myself eating cereal for breakfast. The room service / a la carte menu is better, but dining options here are extremely limited.
On the upside, the fitness facilities are excellent, well maintained, with on-site coaches if you want some help. A colleague signed up for a massage and said it was very good.
The staff and their services were wonderful. Foods are delicious and public areas were so clean.
Meeting rooms were spacious and treats at the meeting room were fresh and delicious.
It was also very clean and comfortable beds but rooms were very old and air conditioning was not enough at the rooms.
Also there were some dust on the room furniture.
It is an expensive hotel, so they need to renew the rooms and their decoration.
I dropped one point because of the old rooms.
We have stayed here many times before and we are always made to feel most welcome. From the moment we checked untill the time we leave every wish or comment made has seen an immediate response to resolve

The duty manger was worst than the service who ever comes to Saudi specially Riyadh have to choose ritz Carlton or four season
