How to Get There
I love this place so much when I got home I booked another trip here with a friend. Arriving May 2nd
The rooms a huge, very nicely decorated and the beds are comfy. The food was out of this world, it was plated perfectly, I like that the breakfast ended later than most as I like to sleep in. There was always a lounge chair available and towels with nice comfy thick pillows. One night the power was out and the staff at the restaurants cooked by candlelight they just made it work. The drinks were perfectly mixed, the sound of the ocean at night was wonderful. Id like to thank all the staff but especially Fernando the best mojito I've ever had, at the pool bar, Nicole our server at the pool and ocean bed, Celina the server at the pool, wait staff Bernardo and Daniel who always brought coffee and mimosas in the morning. The grounds are beautifully kept. It was a nice relaxing trip. 24 hr room service was awesome to have also. Our room was always very clean, and the rainfall shower head was awesome. This trip I am going to try the spa and the beach. Thanks for the most relaxing 5 days in Jan, see you in May :)
They were non cooperative from the get go. The minute I told them I was arriving late they did nothing to help accommodate me. Would never stay there. Not five star or even four star hotel service by any stretch.
Me and my boyfriend finished our 5-day stay at Kore Resort and we were very happy with our experience! From the moment you arrive you know you are in paradise, the lobby is 360 degrees of glass windows surrounded by the jungle and the smell is amazing. The staff in the lobby were friendly when checking us in and explained everything. Our room was beautiful and large, we were on the second floor, and out the window/off the balcony we were surrounded by palms and totally secluded. We couldn't see anything else from our room other than jungle, which was amazing. Our jacuzzi was on the balcony, however it did take an extremely long time to fill (about an hour and half) but was nice and warm when it finally was full. The food was overall good. Sometimes above expectations, but did have a few misses. Our favourite night was a mexican night, they decorated and had a beautiful buffet by the pool. Tacos made right before your eyes, freshly shaved prosciutto right in front of your eyes. The other nights (dinner) there was a buffet on the main level of the restaurant and the upper level was off the menu. We preferred the upstairs menu for dinners, besides the mexican night! For breakfast you could order off the menu or pick at the buffet. They had a lot of healthy options as well, including a juicing bar and make youre own parfait station, and omelette station. The drink options were plentiful as well, with many frozen drink options (which I liked). Another great part about this resort is that all premium alcohol is included in the all inclusive. Mimosa and bloody mary bar at breakfast. They also had some entertainment when we were there, including cultural dances 2 of the nights and Karaoke. The grounds were well kept, everything was clean, and although it doesn't have a beach they have a sandy area which was enough for us! They also have cabana beds that you can lay on with amazing views of the water. We also really enjoyed the bikes! Grab them early to make sure they are not all gone before you get there. One time they were all gone when we got there, but only waited about 5 minutes. We took the bikes to the Ruins the one day and it was about 15 minutes and then another day we took them around the Tulum beach strip and popped in and out of the stores! It was nice not having to worry about if something was/wasnt included, everything was, so you didn't have to hesitate (Except the spa and wifi, but there is free wifi in the lobby and galleria bar). Our only compliant is that it is a quiet resort and never gets too lively, even the bar doesn't get to lively at night and most of the guests kept to themselves. Which can be nice for some guests but it is definitely low key. Only recommendation would be to start some music playing in the background at the galleria bar to make a more bar like atmosphere.
So me and my wife decided to return to Mexico after a great 1st visit. However this time we tried and new hotel (Kore Tulum) and we dont regret the choice because it was absolutely amazing, both the place and hotel. Service was amazing, all the staff were friendly and staff were willing to help you every time. Starting from the rooms, they were very clean and hygienic. Food was also great as you had a variety of different choices and it was cooked very freshly, also drinks were very good also. Crisp beer and fresh cocktails which my wife loved. So I would like to thank Freddie fork the bar, the executive chef (Angel Ducinte) for always providing excellent service and making sure we're well looked after and would like to say thanks again for making my wife's and mine birthday very special. I would like to thank food and beverage manager because he always looking after us (Victor), I would love to thank Jose and Lucia for always being there and being friendly to us and made our holiday special. Thank you everyone for making our trip to Mexico special and we look forward to seeing again.
This was our first trip to Mexico and Tulum had been recommended by friends as a good place to stay to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Having immediately dismissed the big resorts on the Mayan Riviera and seriously considered the many smaller boutique hotels, we chose the Kore on an all inclusive basis.
It was a complete pleasure from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful, well appointed, clean, up to date and with the friendliest and hardest working staff. Our room was spacious and cool and well equipped. Every meal was superb and diverse in choice, from the massive fresh buffets to the delicious a la carte menu. Service was at all times impeccable. The house beer and wine were all great and they can produce a proper cocktail too.
Just walking around the grounds is a lovely experience and the view of the ocean from most areas is amazing. We were worried by the fact that the hotel doesn't have its own beach, but this did not matter in any way, as you are right by the sea at all times and the swimming pool is so close. And of course the Kore has an affiliation with a beach club, which is an incredibly laid back and clean beach, just five minutes down the track.
I have no criticisms other than I think there should be more than 12 guest bikes and that all of them should have baskets. We had a great holiday in Tulum and the Kore Tulum made it even more special. Thanks to all the staff.
