Smart place to stay in town

We picked Hotel Posado 06 because of the sweet pics on Tripadvisor (which live up to expectations) but when we arrived it was even better than we thought. We splurged and got a top floor room with a private outdoor tub. The rooms were very clean and had plenty of room to settle down in. The location is adjacent to the main street so it is a bit quieter but so close that you can walk the whole strip and the ADO bus stop isn’t far. The coffee every morning is delicious.

The best part of Hotel Posado 06 is the staff. Julio was welcoming, friendly, helpful and attentive. The house keeping staff did a great job and the breakfast staff was friendly and ready to help.

I would recommend this to anyone considering a visit to Pueblo Tulum to stay here.

We plan on returning to Tulum and will certainly stay here again.

Thank you Posado 06!

Mixed Feelings - Beautiful Room
Reviewed 3 months ago

First things first, our room was beautiful. Amazing outside bath tub and lovely comfy bed and great shower. Good location too. Downsides: the bath took a very long time to fill up, and then once we were in it it overfilled and apparently flooded the reception. Also when we first arrived the road was very noisy and despite only one other couple staying in the hotel and telling us the room next door was free, the receptionist refused to let us move into the room, saying he would only do it the next day which never happened. We also asked if we could have breakfast ten minutes early so we could fit it in before our trip, but again that wasn’t possible. But then on the last day there was a really helpful and lovely guy on reception so swings and roundabouts. Also the pool, is not a pool, but a small jacuzzi. All in all definitely a nice place to stay on a budget, but some downsides.

Nice room, no 24 hrs reception

This is a nice budget hotel near the main avenue of Tulum. We had the suite with a tube on the balcony, the room was really nice. The breakfast was good, eggs, toast, butter and pancakes what you can expect. But this was enough for us. The pool is not really a pool. You can take a bath but it is very small and inhospitable. The room was cleaned every day. Shower was great. There is one thing they should consider, after 10pm until 8am there is no one at the reception. Actually, there is one security guy who speaks only Spanish and if you need something, you have no chance to ask in English. We booked a Sian Ka’an tour over the hotel, this tour was very expensive and not worth a dollar. Avoid the tour, find someone else on the Avenida. The bed was comfortable. All in all, good hotel with less good service.

Great staff, cute hotel, convenient location.

I have lots of good things to say about the Hotel Posada 06 in Tulum. Alex at the front desk was awesome! Super friendly and helpful. The entire staff was very pleasant. The whole atmosphere is beautiful, the pool enchanting, and the surrounding area is safe, central, and convenient. The room was clean and we really enjoyed our private balcony overlooking the street.

A couple things about the hotel were not ideal, but it didn’t detract from our trip significantly. Our room did not come with certain conveniences like a refrigerator or coffee maker. The water in our shower did not get warm, but it was so hot out that it was not a problem. All in all I recommend this cute hotel. Great value for the price.

Awesome little place!

This hotel is adorable and perfect for the price. There was 4 of us staying in one room. The AC worked wonderfully and the front desk associate was kind and friendly. He recommended places to eat and hang out. We had a made to order breakfast in the morning that was delicious and fresh. The beds are indeed rock hard, but after a long day of traveling, it was definitely overlooked. The bathroom was clean and the shower is big. It is all made of cement. The pool is very small and we used it to step in just to cool off, but it’s also picture perfect! Overall, we would definitely stay here again. We paid in cash upon arrival and had no issues. If you’re looking for a place that feels safe in the town area of Tulum then stay here.
