Overview

Adults-only beachfront all-inclusive with a plethora of restaurants to choose from

The Lowdown

This beachfront, all-inclusive resort has 540 rooms and suites—with no kids allowed. That means no splashing of little feet in the legendary pool, which winds throughout the lush gardens. No sunburned youngsters hiding out in the palapas on the white sand beach. And no high chairs in the eight different restaurants: from buffet-style Mar y Tierra and Le Marché for breakfast and lunch to Mexican La Hacienda and fine dining option The Corner for dinner. Other restorative pursuits include getting a massage, facial, or ritual treatment in the spa, lighting up a cigar at the Partagas bar, or supping margaritas at one of the property’s well-appointed bars.

In the Area

An oasis unto itself, the Valentin Imperial Maya is a 25 minute-drive from the nightlife of Cancun. Which means it’s also ideally situated for exploring the ancient civilization of the Mayas at the ruins of Tulum (the most well-known, seafront temple), Coba (which boasts the highest Mayan temple in the country), or, a bit farther a field, the vast complex of Chichen Itza. And for snorkeling and swimming with the dolphins, guests head to Xel-Ha, a “natural aquarium” and marine life theme park.

I already miss this paradise.

We went there recommended by some friends to celebrate my parents 25th wedding anniversary.

They welcomed us so kindly, they prepared something special in my parents room and later upgraded their room to something better for them (a spacious room in a second floor with a king bed and a bathtub). The same night we arrived, they placed a third bed in our room as I have two brothers and the hotel has no three beds dorms.

My first impression was amazing, everything is carefully designed so you can find peace in every corner of this enormous resort. I guess little things like that rocks placed along the hotel with relaxing music and a perfect transport service with long golf boogies carried by Gerardo and more lovely guys are the reason why you don’t find anything far enough.

They looked after our baggage, so we didn’t have to care about them in our whole stay. They gave us a resting room for personal use the last day, and let us use the installations after the official checkout time. So we were lucky to enjoyed Valentin Imperial to the very last minute.

As far as I know the hotel is compromised with the environment. The beach closes at nine pm everyday because is turtle season and they visit the beach during the night to leave their eggs. A group of biologists pick them early in the morning. They also have useful descriptions of fauna and flora along the resort, so you can find out you are sharing a rich place with species under protection.

Something that describes perfectly their attention to detail is the way they mantain the ashtrays, with the hotel logo stamped on sand, always in impeccable condition. Same for the toilets, always clean. And a perfect and discrete service of housekeeping.

In Don Miguel, the Martini bar, you can taste delicious and sophisticated punches. The food offer is amazing, we really enjoyed deciding where to go to have dinner, so every day was different. I loved the piece of art outside the Mexican restaurant, and the guys that were playing there made us have so much fun. The menu here is incredible. Same for L’Arsace (the french restaurant). The staff is amazing and the food, la crème de la crème.

Mar y Tierra and the beach bar are lovely places to go directly from the beach. As a sea lover I rather be there than in the swimming pool, Juan can tell.
We were aware about “el sargazo” and a bit worried about it. Once there, we realised the strong effort they made to keep the beach clean so this wasn’t a problem anymore.

I met lovely people from New York, North Carolina, Mexico and Nebraska. Most of them couples celebrating life as we did.

I really loved the chapel and I think a Sunday mass is something my parents missed. For me, the only thing missing is a library with some mexican literature and art. I think that concierges should have more of this to offer.

How to forget the guys that made our experience full of good vibes: Fernie, Lorenzo, Julián, Jerónimo and others. Thanks for the volleyball, that ball game which name I completely forgot , the swimming pool dancing during the bubble party and the mechanic bull.

Special thanks to Lenin for that special moment singing Fernando Delgadillo, to WILLIAM who he always made tasty drinks for me full of love. Thanks to Alfonso, to his company and service during breakfast. To Luis Alejandro from Puebla and his Mexican literature recommendations. And to you, “Hola de nuevo”.

Thanks Cesar for the Catamaran experience. I will come back to keep on learning from you. Same to the lifeguards.
Antonio, Elio, your impeccable service in the beach made us be in heaven.

I don’t want my bad memory to punish so many other names, I will always carry with me their faces among with every single kind thing they did for us. I wish them the best.
They are definitely the reason why me and my family will repeat this experience as soon as we get the chance.

Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic!!! Felt like I was pampered from the moment I arrived until I checked out. Huge shout out to the amazing staff! Even though it was incredibly hot they were smiling and friendly every day. As a customer service representative myself I can truly appreciate the attention to detail from everyone at the Valentin. Thank you for making this the best vacation I’ve ever had! And I will definitely see you again!!! Can’t wait!

Fantastic Vacation
Reviewed 2 days ago

This was our first visit to Mexico and the Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya, and it was a fantastic vacation. All of the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The grounds and the resort were very well maintained and the food was absolutely wonderful. The attention to detail with the food at the evening dinner service was unbelievable. The activities at the pool were enjoyable and the beach was beautiful and quite relaxing. Having been to a nice all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic, we were not sure how this would compare. After staying at the Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya, it would be hard to go anywhere else for an all-inclusive vacation. We look forward to returning in the future.

All of the staff members were helpful, but there were a few that stood out above the rest. Julian and Biri with the activity team led awesome pool spinning classes. Nallely at the Le Marche restaurant provided excellent service every day for breakfast. Teresa at the L'Olivo restaurant provided us with a great dinner experience. There were several others that provided excellent service, but I cannot remember their names.

We highly recommend the Valentin Imperial Riviera May and will definitely return for another visit.

THE LAST ALL-INCLUSIVE YOU WILL GO TO
Reviewed 2 days ago

My husband and I were completely amazed by the staff, food, views, and friendly-ness of everyone there. This resort will set the standard for any vacation you do after it. We stayed in building 3 (lowest level room) and next time we go back, because we WILL be back, we will stay in building 4 or 5. For the money though, building 3 was phenomenal!

We ate at all of the restaurants on site but the Indonesian was our favorite. The French restaurant has a french onion soup that is TO DIE FOR, make sure you don't miss that, and all you can eat sushi at the sushi bar- I mean that just sounds like heaven.

The GO TEAM was their entertainment crew and they were on level 10 ALL THE TIME. I like to do activities when we go to an all-inclusive and there was literally something every hour or 2. These people work 13 hours a day to make sure that you are entertained and involved. My personal favorites; because they knew me by name by like the 3rd day I was there, was Fernie and "juicy" Julian. I cannot say enough amazing things about the whole team.

The resort itself is beautiful. The grounds are in immaculate condition. There are people all day long cleaning, moving fallen branches, washing sidewalks and cleaning.

I felt totally safe at this resort. It's pretty far off of the road and it's completely gated in. If you are on the "fence" about traveling here or not, DO IT!! I still can't believe that this place exists.

A Wonderful and Relaxing Stay

This is by far the nicest all inclusive I've ever been to before. The grounds are absolutely stunning, everywhere you look is beautiful flora and fauna.
My husband and I needed a getaway and the Valentin came highly recommended to us and it did not disappoint.
Food- we are big foodies and wanted a resort that lived upto our expectations and we are very well. We loved every single meal we ate. Our favourite restaurant was La Hacienda, you have to eat Mexican while in Mexico. We are here twice during our 5 night stay because the food was just so delicious and the service was amazing as well. We also ate at the Thai, Japanese and the Seafood\Steakhouse restaurant and each meal was so good.

For breakfast and lunch we ate at the Mar restaurant- it's right beside the ocean and there is such a nice breeze. So many options for everyone. We also ate at La Marche for lunch a few times and it was also delicious- just a bit hotter inside as it's a bit farther from the beach.

If anyone leaves a bad review about the food it's because they don't appreciate good food! So take it from me! You'll love it here.

Service- from the minute we got here the service was fantastic, everyone is so friendly and helpful and works so hard. Tips are not expected but appreciated and we made sure to tip wherever we went as we were thankful for the level of service they provided. The Go team was awesome and we enjoyed their entertainment at the pool and at the beach. We participated in yoga on the beach and aqua force in the pool and loved them both. The Go team members are incredibly friendly and energetic and do a fabulous job.

The pool was so big! We loved it, it never felt overly crowded there was always chairs to be found and floaties to float on.

The beach is beautiful and while there is a lot of seaweed, they clear so much of it up for everyone to enjoy the white sand. The water is definitely a bit choppy and not the type of vacation where you can float away in the sea as the waves were quite big. That being said, we had fun jumping in them and it was definitely refreshing.

Oh I forgot to mention we loved the piano bar which is besides the sports bar- they offered such delicious drinks and a lovely quiet atmosphere.

If you are thinking of an all inclusive vacation then book the Valentin, it won't disappoint!

Normally my husband and I like to try new places but we will 100% return to the Valentin!
