How to Get There
Had an amazing time at Secrets Capri. It was my first trip to Cancun and I was here for a week and was pleaseantly surprised with how beautiful it was! Very clean and all employees seemed to always be in a very upbeat and happy mood! 10/10 would recommend for your next vacation!
Some great highlights of the trip were the staff, which included Clemente and Juan at the pool and beach bar, they are awesome. Overall the resort and pool require a significant amount of work, the pool tiles and water clarity really aren't great. The resort had one of the nicer beaches along that stretch and did work hard every day to clear seaweed, which if you have a tropical view room, be prepared for the smell. We were ground level with an ocean/tropical view and couldn't go on our patio because of the smell. The lack of AC at this place in the lobby and restaurant's is horrible, especially on the nights when you want to do a place that requires pants. Bottom line, we've had better and we've had worse, but it's disappointing when you're expecting a 4 diamond resort and it doesn't match up. If you do the "not timeshare" sales pitch they will point out to you the difference of what a 5 diamonds resort looks like, compared to the place you're at.
All-inclusive stay was just that and more. Secrets has taken food quality and ethnic variate to a new level. I have stayed all over Mexico and this experience in quality and service was one of the Best!
I loved the small resort feel. It was a short distance to get to everything- pool, beach, restaurants. The decor was a bit old and out of date. The staff was very friendly. Food was decent for the most part but you do receive small portions. However, you can order as much as you want! We went with another couple and overall we had a great time. We would consider returning here again. Loved that it was an adult only resort.
We got an amazing deal through apple vacations for this resort. My husband and I decided to do an adult only resort for our honeymoon; however we didn't know this meant we would go with couples 50+. The food at the resort was wonderful! I highly recommend Oceana-the staff was wonderful. We also loved the food at the Japanese restaurant; however, it was downstairs and approximately 100 degrees. We couldn't get out of there fast enough after eating. The overall look of the resort was beautiful and clean. In the evening they refuse to turn on the lights which is odd but we got use to it as the week continued. Our room was night but definitely not a honeymoon suit like we thought when booking. The walls are paper thin so bring some form of sound machine if you need to drown out the sound of people walking in the halls or the show preforming 3 floors below.
If you're looking for a place with a great pool, wonderful food, and endless drinks this is your place to be. I would recommend waiting for a "deal of the day" before booking.
