Beautiful Smaller Beach Resort Accommodations
Reviewed 1 week ago

Another find on line. This is essentially a condominium development with AirBnB type listings. It is not all inclusive and that’s fine. Breakfast is included via delivery to your door. Hotel next door has a bar as well as food they will serve on the beach front. Very nice rooms with all the conveniences you need if you intend a longer visit. Very modern and nicely furnished with a comfortable bed. It’s on a slice of the beach front with fishing boats moored off the beach. Playa Del Carmen also has beautiful beaches but is very crowded. Here, you are at the end of most of that, so less people to get mired in walking. Hotel has a small pool to cool off in and lots of interior palms and vegetation. It’s really all you need because everything else’s is in a short walk from the hotel, which is tough to find initially, as well as no parking on the premise. It’s just two blocks below 5th Avenue madness. Ugh street vendors hawking everything.

If we visit again, we would definitely stay here. Highly recommended.

Little gem in the heart of Playa

Absolutely loved this place! First time in Mexico and definitely not the last! Stunning view of the sea and beach from our balcony, well equipped rooms and a decent shower. Service was impeccable and the breakfast a great start to the day. Location is 2 minutes to fifth avenue but rooms quiet on a night. Just wonderful!!

Great Centrally Located Hotel
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

This hotel is located right on the beach and is really very central. The beach itself is on the narrow part of the sand and there is only a handful of beach chairs. It is however within easy walking distance to the main and much wider beach where the larger hotels exist like Mayan monuments. The Hyatt is an extraordinary piece of architectural over exuberance and destined to become a “world heritage site” sometime in the future.

The views from the rooms are pretty good ..ours was exceptional given the fact we were on the top floor ocean view.

Reading some of the other reviews prior to booking one of the comments was about the breakfast ...quite rightly forget the breakfast as it’s really not worth having....better to stroll down the beach and find something more local anyway.
What’s more important was the fact that there was a Nespresso machine in the room albeit with only two free capsules..additional ones being a dollar a piece.
Still worth it as a decent coffee is hard to find.

The pool is fine for plunging but not for doing laps.

In terms of comfort and spaciousness it’s really very good. There was even a full kitchen in the room so it’s more of a “holiday let “ as opposed to a hotel....there is no restaurant or coffee shop which is fine as there are tons of them within metres of the place.
Parking may be an issue for some as it’s only on the street ...we were there in May and we managed to find a place. I can imagine that it may be an issue at busier times and the nearest parking structure is about 500 meters away.

This little boutique hotel on the beach is a perfect spot. We only spent one night waiting for our timeshare property to open but I wish we had more time. The room had everything we needed, the pool was warm, beach food service tasted great and the waiter engaged us in a wonderful conversation.....we felt at home. YOU CAN'T BEAT THE LOCATION.
Breakfast served on your patio by the pool....loved it.
