Wedding and honeymoon

We had our wedding and honeymoon here and could not have asked for a better location. The resort was beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff provided exceptional service. Our wedding coordinator Jaime was amazing. He was attentive and truly cared about our special day. Our family and friends had a wonderful time. We were very pleased with this resort and we definitely plan to return. I would give this resort a 5+ stars.

5th Timers

This is the 5th year in a row that we visited our home away from home in Playa Del Carmen...PARDISUS LA PERLA ROYAL SERVICE. The Food, the ambiance, the service, the room, the employees & the weather are always 5-star!
We are welcomed with open arms upon our arrival...The fragrance of the hotel brings back only the best of memories...
Our oceanfront room at Royal Service is always waiting for us!
Our dear friend Veralucia, the general manager of Royal Service welcomes us with open arms & a hug! She is truly a professional & manages Royal Service like the PRO she is..
Armando our Butler was top-notch! He couldn't do enough for us...We even received flowers along with a bottle of champagne. Hope we see him again next year!! He too is a true professional!!
Shout out to the other Butlers who were also available & happy to help out in a pinch .Fernando, Hector & Angel..
Of course our friend Alfredo, the Royal Service Pool Waiter, always seemed to make all our wishes come true (that is food & drink-wise) with a smile on his face.
Ramon, the Royal Service Pool bartender never forgets a face or what that face was drinking!
Towels, ice-pops, water and grapes were always plentiful especially when served by Daniel, the pool manager (he can even make a pillow out of a towel! ask him!) along with Elias his assistant.
Two special "BRAVOS" to: Renau our waiter every morning at La Palapa. He never forgets what you like and is always there waiting for you...He's truly one of the finest people we know...we can call him "friend". Ask to be seated in his section & you won't be disappointed!!
The other is to our dear LUZ Rodriquez.. Until recently she was the manager of Bana Family but has now moved over to Olio... She never fails to surprise us & eating in her recommended restaurants was exceptional! Thank you Luz for everything!!
If I've forgotten to mention anyone please forgive me!
PS: Please do not be scared off by news stories of violence in Playa Del Carmen! Its beautiful & special & safe! If it wasn't we would have not gone back for a 5th time!!

Until next year my friends....adios

First rate resort except for the beach

This is a beautiful 7 years old resort. The service from the bell boys to the front desk to the waiters and maids are all very friendly. The junior suite we stay in is spacious and clean with modern furnishings. The king size bed is comfortable. The bathroom is spacious as well with the movable partitions. The bathtub which we never use is big enough for 2. So is the shower stall with 2 shower heads at both ends. The nice touch is the maid turn down the bed at night and puts the hotel slippers and towels on each bedside and of course a chocolate. The resort is actually divide into 2 sections. La perla is for adults only and Esmeralda is for family. The guests in La Perla can use the facilities of both but not vise versa. There are quite a few kids in Esmeralda. So if you want peace and quiet it is better to stay in La Perla. There are 14 restaurants in the whole resort and 8 in Laperla alone. There are 2 buffet dinings, one on each side. The rest of them are a la carte which need reservations at night. But they make it easy by going to the reservation desk the first day to book all the meals at once. Not like the other resorts we have been to get get up early each morning to book the dinner for that day only. The food is really good in these restaurants especially is Lapalapa and Fuego. Don't forget to go the Market for its fantastic burgers. The only restaurant you have to pay is Passion. It is a 5 Diamonds restaurant which serves a 7 course taste menu. It will set you back for US$85 per person but I think it worths it with a very high class white gloves experience.
There is one big pool in the La perla side but not many people in it. Most sit around to sunbathe. There are lots of lounge chairs to pick from. Now the only drawback is the beach. There is quite a bit of seaweeds on the sand and the water is not as blue as the other part of Cancun area. It almost looks brownish near the shore. But all in all we really enjoy this resort.
