How to Get There
Top Hotel and perfect located. Great service and fantastic pool area. Sushi and food in general is great. Unfortunately the spa is not included. I would expect it from a hotel like hyatt to have at least access to it included in the room rates.
Very upmarket and sophisticated hotel. The rooms are modern and spacious. The only downside was the light switches which are all under each other with the name for each light written on them but the writing is so small that you need reading glasses (we are of a certain age) which is really annoying.
There is still a smallish area of beach in front of the hotel but looking at the film of the hotel on the television in the rooms the sea has obviously risen a huge amount as it shows a much larger beach area. I would imagine in a few more year the beautiful sandy beaches will completely disappear.
We had breakfast in the buffet one morning which had lots of choice but you can get far cheaper if you eat outside the hotel. The grill was good with nice food and good service.
We stayed at the Grand Hyatt and were very pleased. The resort is modern and everything is high quality. The rooms were really large and our swim up pool was a splurge that was well worth it. We added on a discounted breakfast daily and that was a great decision. Every day was hugely vetoed, high quality and had lots of options for any diet plan. The staff were great and we were well cared for every day. The restaurants on site were great and the Grill was super sophisticated (Chef out of Mexico City has created an amazing menu). All that walkable to most of what you want to see and really close to the newer and better side of the commercial areas. We only needed a taxi once and all other restaurants were easy walking distance.
