How to Get There
0 service, no hotel bar, no spa, although the fancy announcements....this is a 2-star hotel with the marketing aspirations of a 5-star hotel. wasted money, it's better to stay in the Pulmann or Grand Palace Riga.
beautiful facilities, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The room was huge, everything worked great. Bathroom was very luxurious. There was literally nothing not to like it. I would definitely stay here again.

I had a huge room with all those little touches to make it a comfortable stay.
I always judge a hotel by the quality of the scrambled eggs - strange? Well, no. So many take the easy way out and batch produce them resulting in hard or congealed eggs that are a disappointment. My eggs were perfect. Proper chef produced eggs to their credit.
The attention to detail and customer service continued when I was handed a plate just because the staff was there. My coffee, freshly prepared and delivered to my table, would not have been out of place in a great coffee shop.
This part of my experience is so shocking to me that I still can't believe it happened.
When my wife and I checked in we were given two key cards and asked to sign the registration documents. When we checked out we returned two cards and received no comment from the check out staff. When we returned two hours later to collect our taxi to the airport the same two check out staff were still there and greeted us warmly before showing us to the taxi.
On return to Australia I noted that the hotel had debited my credit card 25 Euros. I asked them why and they explained that I has not returned two key cards but rather one key card and one "door" card (which was used to maintain power to the room when the occupants were out). I asked why they had not said so when we checked out or when we returned to collect our taxi. They ignored my question and referred me to the registration document I signed which said they would charge us 25 Euros if we didn't return the key cards. In spite of several e-mails complaining about this the hotel refused to credit the 25 Euros.
I have been travelling around the world for thirty five years and while I have always tried to return all types of keys I have never been charged to failing to return a plastic key card.
Naturally, I won't be staying at this hotel again, or recommending it to my friends and associates.
We had a great time - being offered seafood canapes', wine - a great Rose' and various Portuguese wines (red and white), magnificent present Mr Calabri fr Portugal got us all inspired, to taste, try more and buy! Offered on the night (6) variants, as we were, a new maker and order, the ''Vincentino'', I am sure will make headlines! It tastes like no other wine! All was well-run by the hotel making this nice tasty function a great success.
