How to Get There
Very good SPA, Service also good, rooms - clean, not good balcon (nessesary renovation), brilliant restoran Il Sole. TV Set ( no good info programms). Very chip mini bar. Reseption- very kindly, but less expierence.
The room was wery clean, and all personal was happy and helpfull.
The dinner in Italian restorant realy enjoyed us.
Pool was not to crowded, and woter temperature was nice.
All in alll, it was perfect for our couple.
Good hotel, was there for few days and very hapy about that.
Room was nice, spa also not bad.
To speak about breakfast - it's amazing, especially waiters and waitreses. If you want coffee- they will bring it to you, if you want Champange- they also give it to you. There was attentive waiter and i hope to see him the next day, but unfortunately he wasn't there and never be again :( if i'm not mistaken his name was Andrew
Thanks for everything!
My purpose of visit was to spend 3 days relaxing, enjoying SPA treatements and have some walks along the beach. I was a solo female traveler.
The hotel is located on the beach and in a quite area. Beautifull place for walks in the winter and beach holidays during the summer.
The hotel has a wide range of services: SPA,swimming pool (shared with local community and open for everybody, not only hotel quests, can be noisy), shops,a lobby bar and a couple of restaurants. In February (off season) only one italian restaurant was open. The food was ok,but service should be much better, considering that hotel claims to have 5 stars. I was dining there 3 nights and had also 2 lunches, and every time I got a feeling of beeing back in soviet times where servants were «the king» and had a power to decide whatever you will get a table or not, even when restaurant is empty. There is a lack of high quality service in the restaurant.
I had a deluxe room with a balcony and a side seaview. The room has not undergone any renovation during the last 10 years and was quite faded. Both curtains and bed covering were dirty with many stains. The same were walls in the room. This is a simple cleaning to remove stains from the wall. Cleaniness was absolutelly not according to 5 star standard. Dust on the table was not removed during my stay at all. Bet bed was really big and very comfortable. The carpet in the corridor of 8th floor was dirty and was not vacuumcleaned during my 3- days stay, also elevator was dirty inside.
The SPA services were the best part of my 3 - days stay. Very good quality of massage and DAY SPA, despite the problems to book exactely those procedures I wanted. Reception in the SPA were confirming something different twice.
All over-a great stay if you are looking for a post-soviet expierence and service, among russian people who are approx 90 procents of the clientell. Overpriced both in restaurant and in the lobby bar.
When I asked in reception to book a taxi for me back to the airport,I was told that they only offer a limo service at 46 euro. Taxi to Riga airport costs approx 18-20 euro. Both alternatives are usually offered by the most 4 and 5 stars hotels in Europe,so client can choose what to book.
That is a big minus in my opinion.
Althought a great location, I will choose an other hotel next time.
Very good breakfest quality - good variety and very tasteful. Amazing view to the see in restaurant. Superior ruum is big and comfort and with balcony. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will visit again!
