How to Get There
Very luxurious hotel in a very good location. The facade of the house would need repairs. The service was very good. Very beautiful seashore. Very good and great breakfast. Swimming pool was required to swim. That was news for me
What do you expect of a 5-star-hotel? Location, facilities and impeccable service. The Baltic Beach Hotel scores on the first two points but woefully lacks staff that provide top notch service.
It started at reception: we had booked a twin room - but got a double, we were not given the blue plastic cards which you need for towel service at the beach. I had to ask the check-in-lady to hand me back my passport after she had photocopied - and forgotten it.
When I asked for tea at our first breakfast I was given a pot of c o l d water with a lonely teabag swimming in it. My wife was told the toaster didn't work - it did afer five minutes. One day we ordered fried eggs - it took 15 minutes until the cold eggs were served. The teaspoons apparently had gone missing as well as the bread knife at the bread counter.
The room was lovely with all the expected amenities. That however couldn't be said about the balcony which had cobwebs that looked a few years old. All this I mentioned to the duty manager 48 hours after arrival. She duly took note of everything - and never mentioned it again.
It ended as it had started ten days earlier - with a blunder. When we checked out at noon I asked reception staff to book a taxi for 4 p.m. We went for a walk and arrived back at the hotel at 3:30 p.m. After we had retrieved our luggage we waited for our taxi to take us to the airport. When no taxi showed up I enquired at reception to find out that one had forgotten to book a cab. Great location and facilities - no five-star-service, I'm afraid.
We were nicely surprised. Yes, hotel is 5⭐️ and everything should be high level. And it was since we reached reception. Really pleased staff (starting reception and finishing room cleaners). All met staff always was smiling and wishing good day👍 room is big enough for two, clean. Breakfast is really good and with see view. No bad words for all 4 days 👏 maybe hotel is not newly renovated and would be good to see (for such price) something more up to date, but service level compensate everything. If you want to have perfect lovely weekend - choose this hotel 👏❤️
Excellent location, friendly to children, great breakfasts, pleasant staff, nice Italian restaurant, next to Jomas iela (Street).
You will need a swimming cap for the pool.
They have good children’s animation
The view from room, restaurant ant private beach - amazing. Perfect breakfasts, nice stuff, good food. Bad things - dirty curves! Never washed, 100%. No swingbin in WC.(???). Old towels in bathroom...
