How to Get There
Our room was large and comfortable. We only had one night here and the breakfast was excellent. However, we were mightily disappointed with our choice for supper in the same restaurant. We chose the Mangala Bistro and Bar and my chicken Maryland was tasteless and dry.
Had a wonderful couple days at this resort. Room spacious and comfortable. Staff excellent customer service. Breakfasts excellent and as a guest, good price. Very close to sites short drive in. Highly recommended.
This hotel does not look like a 4 star from the outside but inside it is Fabulous. The free guest activities are great - indigenous guides recall tales of their culture and way of life and how their ancestors survived in the bush very informative, interesting and humbling. We did not climb Uluru as it is a sacred place to the indigenous population and we respect that. We did watch the sunset and sunrise at Ayres rock from a viewing platform and this is a wonder to behold - I loved this place and would recommend to go to see this wondrous natural rock as well as the Olgas.
We stayed at the Desert Gardens Hotel for 2 days whilst visiting Uluru.
A perfect place to explore all on offer, very good service from all of the staff with great rooms, modern, smart and clean.
Choice is limited here but we made the right one.
I stayed at this resort in December 2018 and again in January 2019. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is a post office, cafe, restaurant, food land and gift shops at the resort. The local health service, petrol station and police station in walking distance with helicopter and camel rides close by.
Very convenient if you are looking for somewhere that has nearly everything close by.
Be aware this is a resort and the costs here reflect that. There is a cheaper option with a backpackers on the other side of the resort if the costs are too high. It is only a half hour drive to Uluru, and I have never slept better in any hotel before.
Looking forward to going back.
