Desert Gardens is a lovely resort not far from Uluru lots of facilities and things to do all staff are very helpful our room 138 was very clean and modern. The breakfast which was advertised as continental to us had a cooked section which we didn't expect, but was sometimes not quite as hot as you would like.

Room with a view

My sister and I got a rock view room with a balcony on the upper level - the building is only 2 storeys high. The room was huge, with two comfortable queen size beds and a huge bathroom.
There was a kettle and a small fridge - we got a few things from the IGA, but you can’t fit much in: it’s a hotel room, not an apartment.

Loved having the view of the rock as we relaxed on the balcony or in the room between activities.

Easy walk to the museum and town square and pick ups for our sunrise/sunset tours etc were right at the reception area.

The room was clean and quiet and air-conditioned.

A few ⭐️ things:

⭐️ helpful and friendly staff on check in
⭐️ sheets and towels were clean
⭐️ staff called for early check in. Usual time is 3pm which is a bit late after a big day of travelling and no where to go

A few ???????? things:

???????? the bathroom had a lot of mould and needs a good cleaning
???????? pillows needs to be upgraded urgently (they are flat and old)
???????? a bit over priced
???????? carpet needs a good cleaning or changed. It looks like it’s been there forever.
???????? house keeping was very late in the afternoon
???????? check in is at 3pm
????????our room had two double beds, a queen or king would’ve been convenient

*** I would suggest a microwave and a toaster in the room ????

Overall I enjoyed the trip and it was awesome ????????
