With a nod to the city’s former role as a royal refuge, the majestic Fairmont Jaipur resembles a Mughal palace. And the 199 guestrooms are fit for rajas and ranis, with timber doors, camel bone inlaid furniture and arched windows that look out on the Aravalli Hills. There are also such modern amenities as iPod docks, 40-inch plasma TVs and Nespresso coffee machines. The Anjum tea room offers signature experiences such as Adrak Wali Chai, a ginger-infused tea, and Meter Coffee, a spectacle in which coffee is poured from one meter above your cup. Discerning liquor drinkers will appreciate Aza, the library bar, where a whiskey appreciation station features the private whiskey collection of the maharaja. Tuck into traditional Rajasthani cuisine at Zoya, the all-day dining room, which is modeled on a Mughal tent and is dotted with banquettes and antique silver chairs. Relax by the outdoor pool after a day of shopping and sightseeing, or indulge in one of the treatments at the Willow Stream Spa.
In the Area
Learn about the country’s textiles, and watch artisans at work, at the Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing. Then purchase your own prints and handicrafts at the Bapu Bazaar. A trip to Jaipur isn’t complete without some quality time with elephants; book with Elefantastic for a chance to wash, feed and even swim with the majestic creatures, and ride one through the Pink City or the surrounding jungle. The concierge can also book once-in-a-lifetime adventures like hot air ballooning, paramotor gliding and falconry.
How to Get There
We stayed in Fairmont Jaipur for 2 nights and it was a delightful experience. The property is royally beautiful....and the staff is amazing. Specially Tarun from Main Desk and Jayanta and Pragya Rai from Gold Lounge. Really enjoyed our stay, would definitely return back and would suggest it to family n friends.
We spent two nights in Jaipur during our tour in Rajasthan. Everything was higher than our expectations! Particularly we really appreciated the politeness and kindness of all the staff. Special thanks to Chef Siddarth Ahuja and waiter Shubham that helped me in creating appropriate dish suitable with my food allergies! The risotto was delicious!!
Moreover, final thanks to Papu, manager of the bar, who shared with some knowledgeable information about India!
