Elegant Mughal Palace–inspired sleep with traditional Rajasthani decor and dining options fit for royalty

The Lowdown

With a nod to the city’s former role as a royal refuge, the majestic Fairmont Jaipur resembles a Mughal palace. And the 199 guestrooms are fit for rajas and ranis, with timber doors, camel bone inlaid furniture and arched windows that look out on the Aravalli Hills. There are also such modern amenities as iPod docks, 40-inch plasma TVs and Nespresso coffee machines. The Anjum tea room offers signature experiences such as Adrak Wali Chai, a ginger-infused tea, and Meter Coffee, a spectacle in which coffee is poured from one meter above your cup. Discerning liquor drinkers will appreciate Aza, the library bar, where a whiskey appreciation station features the private whiskey collection of the maharaja. Tuck into traditional Rajasthani cuisine at Zoya, the all-day dining room, which is modeled on a Mughal tent and is dotted with banquettes and antique silver chairs. Relax by the outdoor pool after a day of shopping and sightseeing, or indulge in one of the treatments at the Willow Stream Spa.

In the Area

Learn about the country’s textiles, and watch artisans at work, at the Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing. Then purchase your own prints and handicrafts at the Bapu Bazaar. A trip to Jaipur isn’t complete without some quality time with elephants; book with Elefantastic for a chance to wash, feed and even swim with the majestic creatures, and ride one through the Pink City or the surrounding jungle. The concierge can also book once-in-a-lifetime adventures like hot air ballooning, paramotor gliding and falconry.

Hospitality at Fairmont Jaipur

When it comes to getting a perfect relaxation, a holiday with happiness and memories in my eyes, it's Fairmont, jaipur. Hospitality all-around, sweet gestures as compliments from the overall staff is a blessing. Thank you Jayati for making your words come true, as you said-we will make your holiday special. One more name added to my friend list, as sweet as sugar, the restaurant manager Mr Dinesh Dasani, sweet and courteous taking care of all little- little things also. Mr Shiva Arora, the magical man, made every meal special with loads of love,a beautiful smile with his style of presentation. On my way to the next destination with all the beautiful memories, thank you all once again.Last but not the least, the experience at Ruhab Spa and the service given by Ms Minu was wonderful.

Not worth the money

Definetly less than we expected.
Having stayed at a few Fairmont hotels in Canada (Gold Level) we had high hopes and expectations arriving here. Firstly, don’t waste your money on the “Gold Level” as there really is no difference. We had literally no view from our room.. just of a rooftop. The gold lounge serves literally nothing and exists in name only. The most spectacular part of our stay was the welcoming ceremony and it quickly went downhill from there. While the staff were always courteous and professional, they seemed unable to help with basic requests. Took almost an hour for our luggage to arrive in our room. This hotel seems to be a wedding destination resort, I wish we had known this because our access to hotel facilities was severely limited. The pool was not available. Upgrade to our room was not possible. Buffet lunch on day 2 was not available. The entire staff seemed to be occupied catering to the wedding guests rather than other paying guests. We payed a lot of money for a mediocre experience. Will not return.

Excellent service...

The room has a very classic feel with dark wood floor, classic wall and grand four poster bed. As is the trend of luxury hotels. The bathroom was truly excellent with all features and a superb supply of towels toiletries, robes etc. Food was excellent. Wifi connection was good. Housekeeping department was helpful. Overall excellent experience. Would visit again next time. Thanks to the fairmount family...
