How to Get There
The service was great but the layout of the resort creates a lot of walking. The restraunts are pretty much all outside with no a/c. The birds like to eat off the buffet as much as the people. My room a/c broke down two times though got fixed the same day. There are paved walk paths through out the resort that resemble bricks so when they push carts of supplies with their solid wheels it sounds like a train passing the room and that starts about 6:00 am, so no need for an alarm or wake up call. All said I personally won’t be back but all other Secrets resorts I have been to have been homeruns. Will not give up on them.
This is our 3rd trip to Secrets Cozumel. Our trip started as a -2 stars, after speaking to the manager Carlos, it’s 5 stars. Thank you Carlos for treating repeat guests with great customer service. We will return.
We've just wrapped up our 4th trip the Secrets Aura Cozumel. The resort is always clean with excellent service to take care of your every need.
The property itself is clean but in need of a little more maintenance. We had a swim-up, pool view room that had a few broken tiles and flaking paint in the bathroom. It wasn't too bad, just needs a little attention.
Food choices are all good at the Aura including beach service (burgers, nachos, etc.), buffet, casual or formal evening dining. Be sure to try them all during your trip. Bar service is also great with several bars on the property offering a variety of drinks.
Best of all for us is the people and the service we receive at the Aura. From the housekeeping staff to the service staff everyone is very friendly and accommodating. We'll especially recognize Luiz at the bar and Isabel for her beach service. Thank you both (and many others) for making this a great trip for us and our friends.
We'll be back!
The resort is all inclusive and designed for adult couples, overall a nice place to get away. The food is above average and the variety is good. They have vegetarian and vegan options. The resort is next to their family friendly all inclusive called Sunscape Sabor and we could take advantage and eat at their restaurants. The spa is located on their premises and overall much nicer than the rest of the resort facilities at Secrets. The only negative is the rooms are in need of updating. They are somewhat run down and in some cases dirty when speaking to other guests. Our shower leaked and also the front door. When we had a short thunderstorm that was unexpected, the water came into our room and caused a small flood.
Service and staff were friendly but requested turn down service and replenishing the minibar fridge was unpredictabile and we had to frequently call for service. For the price they charge for all inclusive, it was disappointing. Look at other reviews, we felt our experience and room accommodations could have been higher caliber.
A small hotel comparing with other Secret hotels.so do not expect the same quality.
Nice restaurants with nice food and nice service.
Awesome sunsets view.
Rooms need a little of maintenance.
Shore is my only complain. You can’t not get onto the sea without scratching your toes or feet. Lots of rocks.
If you dive, it’s perfect, they pick you up at the hotel’s wharf.
I would stay at this hotel with no doubt again, but not for swimming.
