It hurts to remember how much money we payed for such a subpar experience. If you care about “who’s who” maybe this is the place for you but if what you’re searching for is that quinitsential Mexican hospitality then you should keep looking. A gorgeous location yes and pretty grounds however the robotic and “in-script” Service, overpriced and bad food, and elitist attitude all around was not what we expected. Will not be staying here again

Home away from home

My wife and I just spent another week at El Presidente and it was as wonderful as ever (we have been coming twice a year for a number of years). The resort is perfect. The staff is outstanding. The amenities are exceptional. We used to go into town for dinner every night but now we rarely go at all. Most nights will find us drinking and eating at the bar in the restaurant under the large palapa(sp?). There are three young men who work there, Gerardo, Jesus and Eduardo and a more senior gentleman, Manual, who we have come to know well over the years and who do an amazing job of making us feel special from the moment they see us arrive. And the restaurant is managed at night by Ivan, who makes it all run smoothly. On occasion we walk across the beach to the beachside outdoors restaurant where the food is exceptional. I just can't say enough about how wonderful our stays here have been. They make it hard for us to consider going anyplace else to dive!

Great resort for sun and relaxation

We booked this hotel online without ever seeing anything other than pictures and reviews. We were very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the facility. Our room was large, in immaculate condition and had a beautiful view of the beach. The maintenance on the grounds of the facility was incredible. The pool was in excellent condition and the beaches were raked every night. We never had an issue with the staff it was attentive and response be to all of our needs and request. We ate in 2/4 restaurants and the food was delicious at every meal from the breakfast buffet to the dessert at dinner.

We look forward to the next time we are able to vacation at this hotel.

Very relaxing/quiet

We decided to return to the Presidente after having stayed there 18 years, ago. We hoped to snorkel off shore daily as we had done previously. We did and the fish were quite plentiful despite the storm wrecked reefs by Wilma.
Our room was clean and well stocked with towels and bathroom grooming products. The coffee pot was “difficult” to use, as it did not want to fill a cup. It needs to be replaced immediately.
We eat at all restaurants and servers were fine and food very tasty.
All staff members were friendly and helpful. Many smiles!
We used the gym daily as it was clean, and well equipped.
The adult pool was great. Except a few people allowed their children to be in it. PLEASE adults do not want kids in both pools! They have other pool and beach to use. People were not happy about kids! Don’t spoil the peaceful spot.
We enjoyed no other establishments nearby. Very 😌 relaxing.
More happy hours would be fun. This is not a hotel location for people that need to be constantly entertained. Great place to scuba, swim, snorkel and relax.
The bicycles were fun to use. Spa facilities were available. We are happy we returned.
