A perfect birthday trip :).
Reviewed 11 hours ago

Our trip to Cozumel was perfect, and staying at this hotel was a big part of why. I had read (way too) many reviews leading up to our trip, in hopes of picking a great place for my birthday trip. Weighed it against several all inclusives, but we decided to do our trip a-la-carte, which worked well, because we had a car to adventure out in. The moment we checked in, I knew I'd made the right choice! Everyone was super kind, and helpful, and our room was beautiful and spotless. And the cleaning crew is worth mentioning -- they clean daily, plus an evening touchup and turndown, and they are masters of beautiful towel art, which was a treat to see each day. For all 6 days of our trip, I became more impressed and happy with staying here. The pool is as devine as it looks, the restaurants were all very good, and a reasonable price for what you get (pretty similar to our home restaurant prices in Portland). The Italian restaurant (can't remember the name) was, surprisingly, the best italian meal I've ever had! That ravioli was amazing, and I'm not even a big ravioli fan. Oh, the tiramasu, too. Wow. And most notable at this resort was the service and kindness of all staff. Everyone I passed every morning would greet me warmly with a "buenos dias", and gesture their hand over their heart. I picked up the habit, too. How lovely. We used Scuba Du one day for a snorkeling trip, and they were all pro, and took us on a great snorkel adventure. I will be dreaming about cocktails in that pool, looking out on the ocean, and fresh ceviche, until whenever we can return. And beautiful chocolate birthday cake with a chocolate written message, too :). Thank you for an amazing birthday stay!!!

Wonderful week

Stayed here for a week in December. It was our second time visiting and it did not disappoint. The service is great. Having four restaurants is so convenient. Love Le Cap! Great place to getaway. Beautiful resort makes it hard to leave to go out and about exploring!

I had the great fortune to stay at the Intercontinental Presidente in Cozumel last month
the hotel is beautiful and the food is outstanding
the diving in Cozumel is some of the best in the East
They have a first class Dive company that takes care of everything as you just relax
I highly recommend this hotel and diving in Cozumel

Wish I could give 5 stars, but...

The resort was very beautiful and the grounds were well groomed. The staff was super nice. Everyone we encountered spoke and smiled. The room was nice, but needed a little TLC. Our room was ocean front but not a “renovated” room. The restaurants that we visited were very good, the breakfast buffet was pricey but great. My main issue was the refrigerator was not cold, not even cool. I called the front desk and was told that it is not supposed to be cold. It is just to keep food fresh. This made no sense, as the only things in there were nonperishables. They were going to send someone to check on it, I don’t know if they did or not, but there was no change to it. I would have brought leftovers back, but was certain they would spoil in the essentially room temp fridge. Also, one of the reasons we chose this place was the complimentary water. This needs to be clarified-housekeeping would leave 1 bottle (1.5 Liter) per room per day. This was for 2 people in our case. Not even close to being enough to keep hydrated! If you wanted any more, it was $4.50 each! The suggestion by the front desk was to go to the grocery store & buy it— that may have been the solution, but there was no way to keep it cold. We ended up filling up one of the sinks with ice from the ice machine added our water bottle and covered it with a towel. Scuba Du was awesome, I’ll review them separately.

Nice resort, excellent service, but very questionable security
Reviewed 7 days ago

This is the second time that we have organized a meeting at this hotel, and this time we were very impressed with the service, the food and the friendliness of the staff. The ScubaDu dive staff are outstanding! Occupancy appeared to be down because of Mexico security concerns, but that, initially, certainly did not bother us. However, we were clearly targeted for theft by someone on the inside. On our last day, my wife’s wedding and engagement rings were taken from our room, it appears most likely while we were sleeping. Scary! The fact that security stated that no one came to the room, makes one wonder if the security staff were complicit in this – especially since we know someone did come on the morning of our departure in a somewhat bizarre and awkward exchange to ‘see if everything was alright’. It did not occur to us to lock the rings in the safe when we were in the room! Moral, if you do go here, do not bring ANYTHING of value. Personally, after this experience, I would never go back – there are many other places with safer resorts and better security! However, the dive team, Scuba Du is excellent - probably the best I have had
