Home to the second-largest reef in the world, it makes scuba diving and snorkeling a must; other options to consider range from excursions to Mayan historic sites to outdoor activities, like mountain biking or kayaking, to days at the beach and nights at the club. Whatever you choose, this paradise will give you a good time.
How to Get There
I bought Day Pass in Hotel B. The hotel is nice but i didn’t like that they told me one price on facebook and charged me more when i got there. Even when i showed chat with their official facebook page, it didn’t mean anything for receptionist. The excuse was that the price changed overnight ))
Came to Cozumel for the night to escape the seaweed in Tulum. We loved this small boutique hotel! We had an oceanfront room and couldn’t have been more pleased with this place especially for the price of under $100. The pool, hot tub and the ability to climb down a latter and swim in the beautiful crystal clear sea water were awesome! I would also like to thank the front desk for letting us check in at noon! Also the free breakfast in the morning was great! Would definitely stay here again!
Sad to say as this stay started off good and went downhill to the point we paid a night penalty and rebooked at another hotel after poor night front desk management (loud hall noises from 10PM-3AM) and junior desk clerk could not get a handle on things.
Rooms decent but small (very comfortable bed) for 3 star Mexico accommodations
Solid and friendly service at front desk and wait staff.
Location was nice that it was north and had nice walking path to town and in a pretty nice area.
Included breakfast was very good, although selection if staying more than 4 days is limited
No fighting for day beds or seats by the water
Yoga and included bikes was a nice touch
English language while understood by most employees to some extent, very few were fluent so communication was challenging on numerous occassions
Pool while the locals and cruise ship employees were friendly took up quite a bit of the real estate in the pool and with the pool seats being scarce most days
Included breakfast for more than 4 days stay is very limited -- all or nothing on the choices.
Noise at night is like none I can compare (dropping 4 stars) but adding 1 back for service. I am on vacation and like a good night's sleep like most people and not to be out on my balcony smelling bad marijuana (skunk weed) in the early hours of the morning.
Some of the furniture and fixtures really needed an update.
Some construction/wet saw and other noise took away from ambiance (been going on for countless months -- don't believe they will be done at end of May)
Confused who they are catering to as clients -- day pass, zen (peaceful hotel) good night's rest (NOT), need serious soundproofing on doors especially main level and hall impact doors going up the stairs, no elevators.
Expect those loud stomping flip flops and conversations from outside to be in your sleeping area at 1-3AM depending on who the hotel had a fire sale on under utilized rooms to.
Sometimes when you discount rooms and day passes you alienate those good customers that would have been repeat customers. We decided it makes more sense to take half the vacations and stay somewhere nice than to go on vacations and wish we were back at work because of the interrupted sleep.
My wife compared this stay to one step above camping and like normal she is right. The only thing missing was poison ivy to wipe my backside. If that is your plan of vacation I recommended this place. In our 30s/40s we expect a lot more and this lack of sleep eliminated us from being able to recommend or return to this hotel EVER.
Recommend considering Iberostar or some other 3.5-4.0 star hotel before dropping down to 3 star accommodations and spending $100+/night with regrets. I pampered my wife for the next 8 nights after this horrible night of trying to get partying, foreign 20 some year olds to chill and be respectful of others and a front desk that was inept at night to take care of the majority of guests not just their age bracket.
Hopefully this is a good warning to those that read glamorous reviews expecting zen at a great price and a wake up call to management and ownership to review your business model if middle class Gringos are a main target audience.
This hotel ia great for a vecation, a little far from the center but it does'nt matter because it has everything, the pool is amazing and also the reef. the food is great, the staff are nice, the only thing i think us importanat is that the hotel will bring free life jackets for the reef
I have stayed here numerous times and I find it to be the best.
The view is amazing. The food is spectacular. good swimming facilities in the pool or ocean.i will be back again very soon. This is the best hotel for the money in Cozumel.
