Overview

An art-centric boutique stay at a playful adults-only resort with its own private beach on the Mexican Caribbean

The Lowdown

Get crafty in Cozumel at a beach resort where painting, cooking and photography workshops occur just as often as scuba diving and snorkeling. Hotel B is all about art, encouraging you to leave your brushstroke on its ever-changing but always-colorful canvas. Like the pool says, “Just Be!” – be yourself and make your creative contribution to the property, whether that’s through a beautiful alebrije (traditional painted-wood sculpture) or a heavenly plate of ceviche.
“Just Be!” is also your invitation to chill out and forget your troubles, and the only Mexico Boutique Hotel group selection in Cozumel is all set up for you to do that, too. Relax to the tune of seaside dining and cocktails, oceanfront yoga, saltwater spa treatments and a variety of water activities and tours. After all, to find your inner artist, you might need to tune out all the noise. And once you do? Find some inspiration, by way of the private Caribbean beach.

Rooms

The rooms at Hotel B are simply relaxing, with all you need and more to help you enjoy your stay. From feather pillows to organic bath amenities to surprise touches, each feature has been selected with your lavish living space in mind. This crafty hotel finds beauty in letting you leave your mark on the accommodations, too – you’re encouraged to place a photo or brushstroke on your wall.

Dining

Mediterranean cuisine meets regional flavor at Costeñito Bistro, where the sea-to-plate menus a fresh, elevated and unique take on seafood. Experience ceviche ten different ways or a tuna steak with port sauce – this restaurant is a delight to the senses. For more casual mid-afternoon fare, Punta Beleza is the relaxing deck where you can enjoy cocktails and light dishes. Finally, Bar Bacan is the perfect spot to enjoy juices, cocktails and a stunning view.

Spa

Ch’oo Boox Spa gives you the gift of total relaxation, through holistic treatments and massage therapies that heal mind, body and spirit. Aromatherapy is used in each of its treatments, which include deep-tissue, Swedish, reflexology, hot-stone and aquassage massages. The combination of both modern and ancient techniques, inspired by local culture and the surrounding sea, is ideal for your rejuvenation.

Location

A premier Mexican getaway known for its beaches, water sports, history and Latin culture, Cozumel is a favorite among those looking for a secluded island destination. Home to the second-largest reef in the world, it makes scuba diving and snorkeling a must; other options to consider range from excursions to Mayan historic sites to outdoor activities, like mountain biking or kayaking, to days at the beach and nights at the club. Whatever you choose, this paradise will give you a good time.

Wonderful Boutique Hotel
Reviewed 1 day ago

This was our 4th return trip to Hotel B. It's a wonderful small hotel with excellent service, a fabulous restaurant, snorkeling right out front and close to town. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The only issue is the construction noise which hopefully will be done by April, but check first. The newer part of the hotel looks to be wonderful. The older part needs some TLC, but overall, its a great place.

Quaint Seaside Resort

All I can say is I love Hotel B! It’s small and charming with friendly staff and a sweet restaurant and bar. Beautiful views, easy access to the water for snorkeling. Reasonable rates that include a wonderful breakfast! It’s not perfect as there are some broken tiles here and there......the curtain in my room had a few holes BUT it was a very clean room and the bed, pillow, linens were comfy. If you’re looking for the Ritz or a busy all-inclusive, then go to those places. If you’re looking for some relaxation that is on “Cozumel time”, then Hotel B may be for you. It’s not boring though as they do offer day passes for crew of the various cruise ships......they are usually young vibrant people which can be fun for people watching! As a side note, if you are a diver, there is diving right next door at the Coral Princess.

Relaxing

Love it here. I got ocean view room right on pool level. Wake up to swim pool and the ocean. Jacuzzi by the ocean great end of the day place to relax and star gaze. Not a lot of staff at pool but they are chill and if asked for something they bring it right away. Best part there a.platform for resting on the ocean and they have an ice chest.of drinks!!The only strange thing is they must have rearranged the rooms after renovation as there is no light next to the bed and the light switch is far from bed. And my lock to the patio does not lock.

Sun and Snorkeling

The staff were very polite and attentive, and the location superb. My wife and I had an excellent getaway with so many things to do! Not only was the onsite snorkeling a real treat, we thought the meals were excellent, presented in a gourmet fashion, and quite inexpensive.

Could have been better

Not really their fault but a storm knocked out the WiFi and the hot tub both would have been nice to have. The pool was super cold and the construction noise is certainly a distraction. The location and access to the ocean are fabulous. The free bikes make getting into town easy and the service, staff and cleanliness are excellent. I would stay here again for sure but likely wait until construction is done.
