- The Hiroshi sushi restaurant will open in late March
- Three of the five restaurants require reservations, and the fine-dining options expect proper attire
- Downtown Cancún is not within walking distance; take the resort shuttle or a taxi

How to Get There
This has to be one of Cancun’s best resorts hands down. The service was so great I felt as if I were to have asked them to sweep me off my feet, they would have. Every single worker there is kind and generous and always with a smile. Highly recommend getting the all inclusive! My family and I have been traveling to Cancun for many years and we heard about this place about 3 years ago and so far we haven’t gone anywhere else. This time we did show up as a party of 14 and although it is hard to place us all in one spot they did an amazing job. Never once I felt the need to complain. Each one of their mixologist knew how to make the most creative and best drinks! although I did hear that they switch bars every month, if you go make sure to look for Aaron and Edwar! They were located by the steak house and made our time their so much enjoyable. I always recommend this place to everyone I know and I will keep doing that. Until next year!
Villa Del Palmar is a gorgeous resort. Everywhere you look is perfect. The landscaping, grounds, beach, pools, decorations, and rooms are quite lovely.
Every day they have fun activities planned and every night, musical entertainment. The real stand out for us was the Cuban Band, led by Osmin. Their music and dancing was some of the best we've ever had the pleasure to experience.
The spa was very nice, a luxury experience for sure but so overpriced! $160 for a 50 minute massage? One can have an hour Beach massage almost anywhere in Mexico for $40.
A warning: DON'T sign up for a one hour "meeting" which they lure you into with a free item. This will waste your entire morning. We spent almost 4 hours in our meeting led by a high pressure sales person named Dustin. It was horrible.
While you're in the area make sure you take some tours of the ruins. Ek Balam and the cenotes are about 2 hours away and simply amazing. Don't use the Resort's tour company. They charge about twice as much as a non resort company.
The highlight for us was the staff. Dora and Raymundo led the activities. They were GREAT fun. Pedro was our pool waiter. He always predicted when and what we wanted with great care. Mauricio runs the kayak shop on the beach. He's an expert in his field and so much fun to talk to. He took us on a great kayak tour. My favorite Pool Butler is Otikio. He took such good care of us and was a true pleasure to have help us.
Leaving paradise was hard but leaving all our new found friends in the staff was harder. I can't wait to go back next year to see them all again.
This plac has terrible customer service. DO NOT COME HERE. Employees have an attitude and they do not place family rooms together even if you book 4+ months in advance. They outsource everything from photographer to taxi so if there’s any issue then you are seriously screwed. The hotel does not take any responsibility and they don’t care. This place charges way too much for what it is. Food is terrible and closes early and on time everyday even weekends. Don’t come here!
I stayed there for 1 month, First day when I arrived I did not had all inclusive so I paid a deposit of 5000 Pesos. next day I changed my mind and upgraded to all inclusive. they told me that I will receive the refund for 5000 Pesos within 3-5 working days, that was 2 months ago and I still did not received it. I emailed and called them several times, and they still did not gave me back my money. After two weeks I had to check out and check in because I upgraded my room. I had to pay a HUGE amount of money and all of them was for tips. Yes, I gave tips all the time, but not 54000 Pesos in 2 weeks, so I thought not to give any tips with the signature anymore and give them only cash. Well, surprise, when I checked out I had another 20k Pesos for tips, The employers are adding the tips themselves, and in huge amount. so watch out, make notes on what you are spending. you might have a surprise. Not to mention that when I made the room upgrade, we agreed on a price, after I paid for it 2 days later they said they made wrong calculation and I have to pay double.. After I did that few days later I spoke with somebody from concierge and he told me that for the money I paid they should had gave me the residential suite for 1 month not a simple room for two weeks.
The experience was unique , the hotel has everything inside that you don't have to go outside for entertainment , I rented a vehicle but almost not needed it.. down town only 15 minutes away.. but the hotel is not close to all the other hotels , so is more private and I personally like that.. all the staff were very friendly, has different restaurants to try different kinds of food, all we tried was very good.. very nice swimming pools.. gym.... etc..
