How to Get There
We have been visiting the Omni every fall for the last 12 years. We do use the gym. This year we decided to try a massage. The facilities are clean and restful. My husband got a deep tissue massage on his back and neck and it was VERY good. He suffers from muscle spasms - Jazman did a great job getting out the “knots”.
I had a 25 minute back and neck massage and went back for a hot stone massage. How wonderfully relaxing it was. Once again Jazman was fantastic.
From now on massages will be part of our week in Cancun!
I really enjoyed all inclusive service. You can use any restaurant or facilities anytime you like. I especially enjoyed the restaurant service from Francisco Armas and Jorge Lagunes. They treated us really well and made our trip. They remembered us and set up the table for the group every night when we come in and eat so that we did not have to tell them how many of us are sitting or anything. They remembered what we like to drink or eat and they brought us without asking. Gracias por tratar us muy bien!
My husband and I stayed at this hotel 6 nights the week after thanksgiving. We were welcomed with a bottle of champagne and balloons for are anniversary. This place honestly had the best service i have ever received. One server stood out above the rest and that was Jose Martiniano. He made us feel like family. The hot tub bar was beautiful, and had great drinks. The food at this resort was good. I would recommended La vista and da vinci. We overall had a great stay here. If you are looking for a nice place to relax this is the place to stay. If your looking for a party resort this one would not be the place to stay.
Wife and i where there for 1 week in dec 2017....great place..........great service.... great beach.....great food.......... great pools......but the best was the beach bar with the hot tubs.....we stayed on the beach till 3 pm or so then went to sit in the hot tubs till dinner time....the service there was fantastic......we were so impressed we booked again for march of 2019.....this is as close to a 5 star resort for a 4 star price.....
OK, So either some people are lying about these Omni reviews, people have never been to a 5 star resort, or the resort has changed food and drink suppliers within the last month because, no.
I don't really like leaving bad reviews but i also don't like spending money expecting something and not getting it. My husband and i picked this resort based on the reviews which turned out to be mostly inaccurate, if you are seeking a resort for mostly adults where you can appreciate amazing food and drinks with a beautiful backdrop for romantic walks around the property at night and things like that, forget about it. this is a great resort for families who want a cheaper getaway with kids don't care about how bad the food really is.
the italian restaurant was the biggest disappointment because the food was bland and tasteless. my husband had the lobster and i had the quail and they were equally as bad. next day i ordered some wings and a drink from the spot at the pool, big mistake. i didn't even finish it. later on i decided to give the taco place a try...i'm not kidding when i say i've gotten better tacos from taco bell. how can you mess up tacos?!! the worst part of all this are the drinks. i'm not a drinker, i save my drinking for vacations so you can imagine my horror when i discovered ALL of the drinks tasted like they were made from sugar free concentrate. everyone knows when they're having a sugar free drink because it has a certain tartness to it. literally ALLLLL of the drinks tasted that way, from the green juice, pineapple juice, mimosas, rum punch to the pina coloadas. the ONLY thing that tasted somewhat normal was my bailey's on the rocks. after our disastrous first day of eating, our saving grace for food became the restaurant on the beach! the food there is not good, it's great! the shrimp and rice dish for lunch is amazing and the flank steak for dinner...NIIIICE! it's honestly delicious food over there plus you can't beat the scenery. it sits right on the beach and half of the restaurant has beach sand on the floor so you can run your toes through the sand while you eat.
the resort itself sits on a stretch where the ocean is a magnificent shade of blue. it's a nice beach with plenty of huts and chairs to use. the rooms are nice, no complaints there, but the resort is somewhat dated and on the small side, you won't be doing any explorations there. you can literally walk the entire thing in about 5 minutes which isn't bad if you're looking for a smaller resort. overall it was an meh to ok experience.
i was disappointed because we booked this resort based on the reviews that the food and drinks would be amazing, that the resort was special and that the service is impeccable. when i fly out of the country to vacay at an all inclusive resort, i go looking forward to experiencing great food and drinks and enjoying the beautiful grounds and scenery of the property. the only excellent thing about the omni are the people and their service, THAT was 100% accurate. everything else was poor to average, take my word for it.
