How to Get There
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Live Aqua! From the time you step foot on the property, you feel relaxed and well taken care of. The smell is very relaxing and you feel like you are at a spa. The food was very good and Fernando at Siete was our favorite person on the wait staff. The only place I do not recommend is Verana. Other people agreed with us, as well. The food there was not good at all, but the other restaurants were great. I do think they should have a little more entertainment at the resort, but its great for relaxing!
So, hopefully You have looked at my pictures and noticed that I already had written a review while I was staying at the resort last week. We went to live aqua to celebrate my 50th birthday celebration with another couple.Since then I have taken down my review. I was very upset with the service the day after I had arrived. Within minutes and I mean minutes of writing my first review everyone knew who I was in the hotel. Whatever they can do to make me happy without even asking me to take down the review or change it, they did.
I absolutely jumped the gun and wrote my review way too soon. This place was extraordinarily magnificent. I wrote an impulsive review about one meal that was not right, that they lost my order for, that I found out four days, later ruin rating . Upon arrival Donnie Helped us check in and explain the excursions to us and which later on we had gotten a discount for. This hotel for an all-inclusive, was on the higher end of all inclusives. The food happened to be amazing. The restaurant MB was outstanding. Chef Francisco and Cesar Mesero. Manager julio Salinas A+ We went a few times. The chefs and my waiter that we had two times was outstanding. They made the best martinis that a girl could have all week.
Ashley the PR director did anything to complement my stay. I was given a complementary cabana by the pool worth over $100 a night for my remainder of my stay which was another five nights. Jorge and Jorge were absolutely amazing too. They were the head of food and beverage. I met pretty much every executive chef at this resort. Marco at the smoothie bar at breakfast was amazing. He made anything that you wanted to have. The only sad thing is he’s only there for breakfast my suggestion is that he was out there for a lunchtime because not everybody likes to eat to have your food such as paella, ribs, burgers. I really would’ve love to have that smoothie bar at lunchtime. Aline was great in helping to accommodate us. Cesar Germain and Cesar Mesero were great too. Oscar and Eric poolside bar waiters we’re great always looking to make me happy refilling a drink whenever was needed without even asking. I regret writing that miserable review that I had wrote previously. The room at this place was amazing everything was electronically from the rain shower in the bathroom to the electronica blinds opening up in front of the sliding glass doors to the Nespresso machine fully stocked refrigerator and snacks. The aromatherapy throughout the hotel was so intriguing. It started off with a eucalyptus scent that rolled into a Jasmine scent and continued throughout the whole hotel everywhere you went there was a different aroma. I absolutely loved the pool party on Saturday at the swim up bar. I would only wish and hope for in the future they had a pool party every day at that swim up bar. I know that their motto is to be quiet and serene but you have five of the pools that are quiet and serene so they need a little bit more entertainment in my opinion. At night there was always something small going on. whether there was music in a lounge, a band playing or hopping bar , I also would like some more music and dancing at night but that’s just me. During our stay one of the waiters actually walked into the pool (you were going to call off because it was hot) to serve guess some fresh fruit he was fully clothed so impressionable. They came around daily with chilled aromatherapy cool cloths to call yourself off with. They gave me complementary items throughout my stay. They decorated my bed every single night I was there. I give this hotel five stars not because it treatment I got after my review but because of the treatment that they show everybody at this resort.
Let me mention this was my 14th time in Cancun. First time at an all inclusive. We will definitely be back please enjoy looking at my photos.a few others Carla, David , Kevin. Amazing staff!
Original review Below!
This was our 2nd visit to Live Aqua and it won't be our last. We had an exceptional visit the first time and this time was no different. It quickly becomes obvious that they want you to have a great visit. The staff is attentive, kind, hardworking and friendly at all levels. Honestly, there is so much that is just upper level experience that it is impossible to list, but here are a few: impeccable restrooms(even poolside), beautiful and clean grounds, unlimited sushi(all food was excellent), included stocked snacks(chips to chocolate) and drinks(beer to soft drinks) in room, included aroma therapy, slippers and flip flops in room free of charge if needed, a beach bag to borrow if you forgot your own, room service included with great menu, multiple pools for you to utilize, rooms are digital (lights and window coverings).
I recommend renting a cabana. You receive a 20 min foot massage with it and it provides some relief from the sun. You have a server that is assigned to you for the day which is nice. When you arrive you will be greeted by concierge and offered an expensive meal or excursion to go to a time share type meeting. We kind of "fell" for the pitch the first time and it just wasn't worth the free excursion to us to lose out on alone time on vacation. If time share doesn't interest you, then just hard no the concierge and you can go about your great vacation. We booked through Costco and you just can't go wrong with them. They take care of everything as far as plane and transport to and from resort both ways. It is IMPORTANT to mention bringing money to tip for the excellent service you will receive, because you will be waited on hand and foot!!! It isn't expected or implied but deserved. I recommend taking a lot of small bills.
