Stark, sexy Miami minimalism frames the golden sand and glowing sea; a three-pool complex, bamboo spa garden and tranquil lagoon complete the picture. Romance and relaxation kick off in the slick marble lobby, where check-in is completed over bubbly on a white daybed wrapped in gauzy white drapery. Infinity pool is a phrase tossed around pretty loosely on this beach, but Le Blanc delivers a curvaceous three-pool complex that appears to hover over the sand and sea. The views are maximized by the resort’s layout along the three sides of a low-rise triangular building that is angled around a gurgling fountain and towering atrium. The guest rooms and suites on two sides look at the Caribbean; the third side looks out over a pool and a tropical lagoon. Each room is an exercise in romance, where private balconies and double Jacuzzi tubs are standard (suites add outdoor plunge pools and open-air living rooms). A bath butler keeps it steamy, room service is 24/7, and the minibar is stocked with top shelf bottles, including Gran Centenario Reposado tequila. Le Blanc delivers over-the-top amenities with style and service to spare, but what separates it from every other all-inclusive on the beach is its gourmet dining. BlancItalia serves traditional trattoria fare such as eggplant parmigiana and seafood linguine overflowing with mussels, clams, shrimp and octopus; don’t skip the bruschetta, which is made to order tableside and served with a selection of antipasti such as shaved capriole. The seven-course tasting menu at Lumière is an adventure in gastronomy, employing fresh shrimp, octopus, snapper, beef, lamb and fois gras with traditional French flavors and preparations. On more casual nights, BlancInternational has Asian and Mexican fare served in an elegant buffet. Better yet, hole up in your suite and have a made-to-order meal served on your balcony.
In the Area
You won’t have to venture far to find one of the best spas on the beach. Don’t skip a hydrotherapy session in LeBlanc’s sumptuous 19-suite spa, followed by a four-hand Kukulcan Mayan massage, which evokes sacred rituals of the Yucatan’s pre-Columbian residents. Continue your exploration of the area’s ancient history with a daytrip to the ruins of Chichen Itza, site of the stunning Temple of Kukulcan, built in honor of the snake deity worshipped by a number of Mesoamerican cultures. From June through September the clear, blue waters off Cancún host the largest aggregation of whale sharks on the planet, offering experienced snorkelers the opportunity to swim side by side with the spotted behemoths in the open sea MUSA Underwater Museum.
How to Get There
Best beach server and bartender on the island! Daniel Cruz took care of us all week and always had a smile on his face! Best of all he never said “no” to us! Thanks for the experience and we will see you the next time around 😉
I can’t say enough good things about the wonderful people that work here. It really made our family vacation even more wonderful. Antonio and Luis were our butlers for the week and were so helpful and friendly. Manuel and Lumiere made a delicious dinner even more wonderful with his exceptional service! Plan ahead when making reservations to Lumiere, if you want to enjoy a cabana at the beach and the Spa. You can still enjoy the hydrotherapy and the steam and sauna rooms without having a treatment! We will be back!
Great location, well laid out property, with pools on both east and west side of main building, so you can alway find sun or shade when you want it. Great service around the pool and on the beach (do bring some tip money for the extra smile). Huge long beach for walking, which is patrolled by police on ATV. Book your diner at the French restaurant early in your stay. The others are normally accessible any time, fine food in all of them. The Spa was amazing.
Beautiful beach and conveniently located but really its all about the front line staff - they are extremely attentive and truly committed to guest satisfaction. We have visited this property dozens of times and always have a fantastic experience. The stand out feature of the resort is the entertainment and that is what keeps us coming back – unlike any other resort we have visited entertainment director Alfanso provides a broad range of experiences that cater to the diverse clientele. He excels at having a solid schedule of daily activities as well as sourcing local artists to provide truly unique experiences – whether a visit from a sky diving Santa or a fabulous electronic violin performance pool side featuring Norio & Jackie - Alfanso and this team keep things fun and interesting – a special shout out to Felipe & Ana. Also remarkable are the Pool Concierge Team – Laura, Lucinda and their colleagues work at a frenetic pace all day to provide guests the ultimate relaxing experience. The fine dining at Lumiere was also a highlight – our favorite server Manuel and his colleagues are always so welcoming, always remember our preferences and have stunning attention detail. Rounding out the white glove treatment are the butlers – they attend to your every need and ensure that everything from arrival to check out is smooth and stress free – thank you Mario, Santiago and the others for always going above and beyond!
This is our third visit to LBC and we expected the same excellent experience from before. . Our second floor butlers, israel and Hugo, always thoughtful and attentive to our every need, did not disappoint. I think they raise the standard for the rest of the resort staff. The addition of hammocks and palm trees by the beach was great. Spa services always commendable. Somehow, the food in Lumiere were not as specially memorable compared to our last dinner there. Perhaps the chef cook has changed. Same comment for the overlooked lobster we had in Blanc International. But, overall, I still say LBC deserves its reputation for unparalleled service.
