The Lowdown

Stark, sexy Miami minimalism frames the golden sand and glowing sea; a three-pool complex, bamboo spa garden and tranquil lagoon complete the picture. Romance and relaxation kick off in the slick marble lobby, where check-in is completed over bubbly on a white daybed wrapped in gauzy white drapery. Infinity pool is a phrase tossed around pretty loosely on this beach, but Le Blanc delivers a curvaceous three-pool complex that appears to hover over the sand and sea. The views are maximized by the resort’s layout along the three sides of a low-rise triangular building that is angled around a gurgling fountain and towering atrium. The guest rooms and suites on two sides look at the Caribbean; the third side looks out over a pool and a tropical lagoon. Each room is an exercise in romance, where private balconies and double Jacuzzi tubs are standard (suites add outdoor plunge pools and open-air living rooms). A bath butler keeps it steamy, room service is 24/7, and the minibar is stocked with top shelf bottles, including Gran Centenario Reposado tequila. Le Blanc delivers over-the-top amenities with style and service to spare, but what separates it from every other all-inclusive on the beach is its gourmet dining. BlancItalia serves traditional trattoria fare such as eggplant parmigiana and seafood linguine overflowing with mussels, clams, shrimp and octopus; don’t skip the bruschetta, which is made to order tableside and served with a selection of antipasti such as shaved capriole. The seven-course tasting menu at Lumière is an adventure in gastronomy, employing fresh shrimp, octopus, snapper, beef, lamb and fois gras with traditional French flavors and preparations. On more casual nights, BlancInternational has Asian and Mexican fare served in an elegant buffet. Better yet, hole up in your suite and have a made-to-order meal served on your balcony.

In the Area

You won’t have to venture far to find one of the best spas on the beach. Don’t skip a hydrotherapy session in LeBlanc’s sumptuous 19-suite spa, followed by a four-hand Kukulcan Mayan massage, which evokes sacred rituals of the Yucatan’s pre-Columbian residents. Continue your exploration of the area’s ancient history with a daytrip to the ruins of Chichen Itza, site of the stunning Temple of Kukulcan, built in honor of the snake deity worshipped by a number of Mesoamerican cultures. From June through September the clear, blue waters off Cancún host the largest aggregation of whale sharks on the planet, offering experienced snorkelers the opportunity to swim side by side with the spotted behemoths in the open sea MUSA Underwater Museum.

We are currently staying at Le Blanc, Cancun. It's our fourth visit and we must say we are very pleasantly surprised by the hotel renovations carried out late last year and we're so pleased to see familiar faces once again and have welcomed and got to know new members of staff.

The staff here really are what makes the hotel!

Right from the moment when you pull up at the entrance and you are greeted by Joe and handed a cold flannel to freshen up, to the warm welcome when you check in.

Marco, our butler on arrival was very attentive and informative and after a 10 hour flight when we just wanted to unpack and unwind we ordered room service which was spot on!

The redecoration of the guest rooms, replacing the dark furniture is a great improvement, we have a Royal Governor suite (and many thanks for honouring our request for a high floor) greatly appreciated.

We would like to mention some special members of staff, starting with Melissa, the fabulous pool waitress at the Luna pool, such a sweetie! And an asset to Le Blanc! Nothing is too much trouble, thank you Melissa for looking after us xx
Also Lucinda, always happy to see you and with such an infectious smile and Rolando, who knew our drinks after just one afternoon looking after us, thanks for the Iceberg! Lol!

We were so pleased to see Victor, the bartender again and the night we had at the Lobby bar trying out various cocktails with the 'fabulous four' bar staff was an absolute blast!

Also a special mention for all of the staff at the Terraza on the third floor in the evening, the choice of food is great and the night we had the lightening show just made it even better, thank you Fausto and Seleine for such great service.

The Blanc for breakfast hasn't changed and it was great to see Isabel still serving up delicious hot plate eggs and omelettes, another mention must also go to Jorge and Juan, who again have been so good to us.

One thing we always comment on and think would be an asset to the hotel, is that if they introduced a buffet option in the evening, sometimes all you want is to just browse and then take your pick of food on offer, it works through the day, why not try it for the evening when you just want a light bite?

We've always loved Le Blanc and will be returning again, thanks to you all for making our stay so wonderful.

My first visit to Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun

Overall, this was a top-notch resort in Cancun, Mexico among the ones that I have visited in the past. There was one staff who was particularly helpful to me, it was a staff member at Public Relations/Guest Service departments. She noticed that I was blind and needed extra help. After dinner on my first night, she took me down to the beach and showed me the various different beach amenities the beach had to offer, including the beach bed and tents they have and she also accompanied to an event where they hatch baby turtles and released them into the beach.

This resort was well-staffed from butler service to spa concierge, pool concierge, and bell staff. Butler service on each floor was very impressive, top-notch service. However, they do not have enough butlers to cover for somebody in the event one of the butlers doesn't show up to work. Their fitness center has state-of-the-art equipment however they don't have variety because their fitness room is very small.
If you are somebody who likes to get a personal training even when you are away from home, they may include it. However please be aware that they only have one fitness trainer on the floor. Even though they have three trainers working, they all work at different times teaching different classes. This means while you are being trained, if some other guest needs help, they can be interrupted to help others. Your training session may take a little longer which requires some more patience. I recommend that you do not make any other appointments after personal training in case it runs a little late. Just relax. After all you're on vacation, right? :)

This resort provides laundry service, however if you expect to get your laundry done in one day please be aware that this resort outsources their laundry to another resort because they do not have their own laundry facility. You must give your laundry to your butler before 10 am to get it back in two days. If not you will get it back in three days unless you request express service. You can certainly bring extra clothes but for packing purposes please remember that most airlines charge for suitcases that weigh more than 50lbs unless you're a business class passenger.


We visited for 2.5 weeks in June 2019. And just when I thought LeBlanc Cancun could get no better... They took it up another notch. Yes, the service of the superior staff is the absolute best in the biz. Yes, they still could write novels on how to be treat a customer but, now after major renovation, the facilities are even more spectacular than before. The lobby is beautiful, open, and modernized. The glistening marble floors run throughout and each restaurant has been re-decorated with gorgeous accents and cozy romantic tables. This trip we stayed in the tried and true romantic, ocean front, “Royale Honeymoon Suite.” The updates to the room were fantastic. No expense was spared on the unseen, but very evident AC and plumbing updates. The rooms were cooler than before with very little humidity in the room and, the water temps & pressure improvements were evident as well. Not that any of it was less than good before...It just has been stepped up. We were pleasantly pleased to see the massive tubs remained and were still our favorite feature of the room. If you’re looking for a great ambience and unparalleled service, LeBlanc Cancun still sets the standard in my opinion.
There are always “stand-out performances by the staff of LeBlanc.” Truth is, all the staff is amazing, but there are always a special few that you’ll find yourself wanting to hire and carry home with you.
For this trip, it would be a crime not to at least mention the exceptional service of the following:
Leonardo in the spa was amazing! He made chocolate covered strawberries just for my wife while she was in the spa! He really attends to details and every want and need of the customer.

Manuel did a great job in the salon and was so personable for her mani pedi.

The ocean front pool is the place to be. Laura, Mauricio, Sarahi, and Lucinda, please come home with me!!!! In all of the world, no finer or sweeter people exist.

The guys at breakfast are always fabulous:
Candelaria, Manuel, Elias, Juan, Erick, Jalisco, and chef Isabel. It simply doesn’t get better than this crew of affable staff.

Marco, the manager at breakfast, is amazing. He always greeted us with a warm smile and hug.

Victor, the food and beverage manager is constantly searching for ways to improve an already stellar service. No detail goes unnoticed.

If you are lucky enough to get Israel as your butler, you’re in for a real treat. You will not find a more knowledgeable guy about the resort and if he cannot satisfy your every want and need.... well you’re way too “wanty & needy.” :) Seriously, he is impeccable. I just referred to him as “El Presidente.” I will not go back without requesting to be on the floor in which he serves.

Our favorite restaurant..... even after all the renovations and menu changes, NO DOUBT... the Italian Restaurant. You’ll be greeted by the beautiful and delightful Samantha. She is the sister you’ve always wanted. Why sister??? Because she always makes you feel like family. Make sure to request Manny or Jose to be your waiter. You can’t go wrong in picking them. They both have big personalities and make the menu come alive with brilliant meal descriptions. Ricardo, who manages the Italian restaurant, is fantastic and ensures everyone has a great experience. Chef Rene was constantly wowing us with his culinary creations and specialties. We simply could not resist the temptation to eat there every other night.

I could go on and on and on but the simple truth is, LeBlanc cannot be adequately described. It should be experienced. If you can’t fall in love with resort life at LeBlanc, you simply weren’t meant to be pampered in this life.
