Stark, sexy Miami minimalism frames the golden sand and glowing sea; a three-pool complex, bamboo spa garden and tranquil lagoon complete the picture. Romance and relaxation kick off in the slick marble lobby, where check-in is completed over bubbly on a white daybed wrapped in gauzy white drapery. Infinity pool is a phrase tossed around pretty loosely on this beach, but Le Blanc delivers a curvaceous three-pool complex that appears to hover over the sand and sea. The views are maximized by the resort’s layout along the three sides of a low-rise triangular building that is angled around a gurgling fountain and towering atrium. The guest rooms and suites on two sides look at the Caribbean; the third side looks out over a pool and a tropical lagoon. Each room is an exercise in romance, where private balconies and double Jacuzzi tubs are standard (suites add outdoor plunge pools and open-air living rooms). A bath butler keeps it steamy, room service is 24/7, and the minibar is stocked with top shelf bottles, including Gran Centenario Reposado tequila. Le Blanc delivers over-the-top amenities with style and service to spare, but what separates it from every other all-inclusive on the beach is its gourmet dining. BlancItalia serves traditional trattoria fare such as eggplant parmigiana and seafood linguine overflowing with mussels, clams, shrimp and octopus; don’t skip the bruschetta, which is made to order tableside and served with a selection of antipasti such as shaved capriole. The seven-course tasting menu at Lumière is an adventure in gastronomy, employing fresh shrimp, octopus, snapper, beef, lamb and fois gras with traditional French flavors and preparations. On more casual nights, BlancInternational has Asian and Mexican fare served in an elegant buffet. Better yet, hole up in your suite and have a made-to-order meal served on your balcony.
In the Area
You won’t have to venture far to find one of the best spas on the beach. Don’t skip a hydrotherapy session in LeBlanc’s sumptuous 19-suite spa, followed by a four-hand Kukulcan Mayan massage, which evokes sacred rituals of the Yucatan’s pre-Columbian residents. Continue your exploration of the area’s ancient history with a daytrip to the ruins of Chichen Itza, site of the stunning Temple of Kukulcan, built in honor of the snake deity worshipped by a number of Mesoamerican cultures. From June through September the clear, blue waters off Cancún host the largest aggregation of whale sharks on the planet, offering experienced snorkelers the opportunity to swim side by side with the spotted behemoths in the open sea MUSA Underwater Museum.
How to Get There
Le Blanc is a class act from top to bottom. The hotel and rooms are immaculate. The staff will do anything they can to help you. Miguel picked us up at the airport and made us feel safe and well taken care of from the very beginning. He was happy and could take our joking with him like a pro despite having to wait for us for 90 minutes in an unusually long immigration line. Roger did a great job arranging our itinerary. Manuel and Rene were our butlers and they really enjoy making sure we had everything we needed. Fausto and Bryan were awesome at the Terazza cafe. Roberto the doorman bent over backward to help us. We had scuba equipment that needed to be washed and dried. He made sure everything was take care of with no worries. Juan Carlos drove us back to the airport and made sure we knew exactly were to go and who to avoid. He gave us a number we could call if anything went wrong. He also gave us several examples of the mistakes people make because they get in a hurry or are not paying attention. This is a classy operation. We will be back to see the wonderful resort and these wonderful people. THANKS!
Although our stay had an early hiccup, the vacation was saved thanks to wonderful staff like:
Francisco, our butler, who went above and beyond to make sure our every wish was fulfilled.
Aidee, our PVP, who greeted us every day with a smile and a welcoming greeting. She really made us feel special.
Carlos, pool, who assisted us in getting chairs by the pool and always making sure our umbrella was set right and our ice bucket was full.
Fausto (and all Terraza staff), for always having a smile serving us well and making us feel welcome even though we ate there almost every night.
Bruno, public relations, who followed up on our early issues and ensured the rest of our trip ran smoothly.
Thank you to all the hotel staff. We will be back soon.
Its hard to know where to start my 5 star review of this resort. From the moment you arrive on the steps outside and receive cold towel to the moment you check out everything is Luxury. I stayed at the resort for 5 wonderful nights. The beach and pool locations are as nice as the pictures. The rooms are beautifully laid out and with the help of your butler has everything you need. We ate at all the resturants the resort had to offer. The staff were exceptional. I remember Roger in the Mexican, Juan in the Italian, and sweet Ingrid in the breakfast but that doesn't mean the other restaurant staff were not as good- They were!! Everyone was so nice. I would highly recommend this hotel for you and your loved one.
Beautiful hotel! Amazing amenities, very clean, safe and many options for things to do and eat! Wonderful staff, special thank you to our butler Marco B. who was always ready and willing to assist, Carlos who helped us with 24 hour room service, and Luis the Bartender who did not water down the drinks.
We visited Le Blanc for our 29th wedding anniversary and it was exquisite. We are actually Palace members but this stay has been one of our best yet.
Rogelio Garcia Valdez started out trip out top notch but setting us up in a room that provided the best views. We were in room 824 which allows you to see the ocean as well as the lagoon. He also arranged all our golf and some of our spa treatments in advance and he made it seem effortless. Our final night he arrange a special anniversary dinner for us.
While we love the service, food and ambiance of the resort one aspect that we aren't as fond of is the dress code requiring men to wear pants in 3 of the 5 restaurants. We do love to dress up but not every night as it is very hot and we are on vacation. It became more of an issue of discontent when women can wear ripped jean shorts to dinner but men who are in dress shorts and a collared shirt are turned away. This dress discrepancy just does not sit well with us. So for our final evening Roger set up a special dinner outside for us and told my husband he did not have to wear long pants. It was wonderful and are server Callaila ( I probably spelled it wrong) was very nice and attentive.
Our favorite restaurant ended up being the terrace one Terraza. We really stumbled upon it later in our stay but breakfast, lunch and dinner there were wonderful and the woman who manages it was very thoughtful
Additionally our butlers Rene and Manuel took care of us throughout the week.
When we did eat in Blanc in the morning Ingrid greeted us by name and Candelario took special care of us.
Arturo in the gym offered wonderful pilates classes that I thoroughly enjoyed. We also attended the Chef's dinner one evening which was great.
Le Blanc is incredibly peaceful and a great way to re-charge. If you want fine dining, great service and cleanliness it is top[ notch. Please don't hesitate to book.
We played golf at Moon Palace 2 days and had a great time there as well and transportation was easy.
