How to Get There
We had our wedding ceremony and reception on the beach at Ibeorstar Cancun. It was beautiful and the set up was very nice. The wait staff was very attentive and made the day special. The resort rooms were OK, the Villas are great! I recommend staying in a Villa vs. regular room. Food was pretty good, and the bar tenders are great!
Great stay, great buffet, couldn’t visit the specialty restaurants but received very good critics about them, staff very kind, recommended to download the app to be updated about all the activities, the Vegas show, really good! Only two points to observe, there’s no valet parking and the room service it’s a little bit slow, at least a 30 min wait, if not more, to get your order!
Magic vacation at Iberostar Cancun.
The Hotel was located near the Airport.
It had guests from many countries of the world.
When we arrived at the Hotel, we met a very friendly receptionist
named Ana, she was very efficient and quickly gave us our room info
and arranged for our suitcases to be delivered to our room.
The next day we meet Isis.
Isis was the Reception Manager who has chosen our suite.
Isis was a great asset to the Iberostar Cancun. She was very helpful and
we were really please to have met her.
We stayed in Villa Vicaria, ocean front suite.
The sea was so beautiful.
From our balcony, we could admire its deep turquoise colour.
Our suite, was very confortable with a good wi-fi reception.
All the amenities were in good working order.
Gambino the housekeeper prepared our suite daily.
He was very efficient.
We also had an upgrade to Star Prestige,
where Miguel and Victor were
our Star Prestige guests service Reps.
They were always ready to help us.
They took care of our restaurant reservations and other requests.
During the day, we spent quite a bit of time on the Bali Beds located
just in front of our villa relaxing under the Hot Mexican Sun.
The sea was warm and very inviting
with good size waves for swimmers to enjoy.
There were also very nice pools with a lot of activities
for the guests. For the kids they had an activity pool with all
kind of slides and fun things to do.
We found the buffet excellent with a large variety.
There was of always something delicious for everyone.
Fernanda was our regular server and took good care of us.
She always remembered our daily 'cappuccinos muy fuerte'.
The restaurants a la carte that we preferred were the Steak House for
their meat and the French for its variety.
At the French a la carte Restaurant Jaime made us feel at home.
Everywhere the service was always excellent.
Our Sommelier Antonio had plenty of The Red Cabernet Sauvignon
from California every night.

To resume our stay at the Iberostar Cancun,
we can say that it was a great success.
The staff has to be congratulated for all the hard work they did to make
sure that the guests were enjoying their vacation at the Hotel.
Absolutely amazed with the place. The new tower exceeded all our expectations: ultra-modern, beach front with breathtaking views, super nice. We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and David, Miguel and their manager Mariana took a great care of us with accommodations and showed an above and beyond customer service. Can't wait to visit again.
Been here less that 24 hours.... at first glance, WOW!!! This place is huge, clean and beautiful! Minor hiccups at first.... placed into a double room when we had requested a king room when booked, although it wasn’t with Iberostar directly. Asked about moving and today we are moving. But this is where my personal liking for Iberostar is going uphill quickly. We were immediately greeted with drinks upon checking in, then we met Xavier. I can not begin to praise and thank him enough. You know when you meet someone, you know they are just genuine, and good hearted?! This is Xavier 100%. Making reservations were quick and easy for the dinners. As he started to explain the Star Prestige Program, we were a little interested, but owning 4 timeshares already with family members, we were cautious. We agreed to meet him on Saturday for breakfast and to tour the new “tower” building and amenities. After leaving him yesterday and then going thru the room issue, we saw that the pool bar was under construction. If we knew that was happening while we were going to be here we might not have chosen to stay here. But hey, what can we do about it?! Certainly not let it ruin the next 9 days of vacations. We saw Xavier this am on our way to breakfast. He is ALWAYS smiling, happy and eager to help. He asked how our room was and we explained that we were moving and then told him that we were disappointed about the swim up bar being closed but it is what it is. We confirmed that we were still meeting tomorrow for breakfast and tour and we continued to the buffet. BTW, the buffet is REALLY GOOD! Anyone who complains about the food being too cold is honestly just being picky and expecting one on one, personal attention. It’s a buffet people!!! The food is fresh and very good!!!!! After eating breakfast, we were walking towards the pool and once again, Xavier crosses our path. We joked that he was following us, but he did say that he was looking for us. He apologized for any issues that we were having with the room and swim up bar being under construction. We assured him that it was ok and that it wouldn’t ruin our vacation. He then told us, that he was sorry but the room switch had changed. I started to worry as my GF was now staring at me. Xavier then proceeded to tell us that he wanted my GF to have a very nice vacation and since it was my Birthday in a few days, he was putting us up in an upgraded room in the new Tower section for the next 8 nights for free. At this point we both just stood there looking at him with our mouths open in disbelief!!! He laughed and asked if that was ok with us! Be both agreed and thanked him over and over! THIS is what makes good resorts GREAT!!!! Xavier went out of his way to accommodate us and make sure our first time at Iberostar AND first time traveling to Mexico is going to be a spectacular!!! Thank you Xavier for all of your help and attention!!!!!
