How to Get There
Iberostar Selection Cancun was a truly magical resort with incredible workers. On arrival we were greeted by Ana at the front desk. She was warm and informative and her sunny disposition set the perfect tone for our vacation.
Our large ocean-facing room had a picturesque view, the buffet was varied and interesting every night and the pools were super clean.
Possibly the most impressive of all was how hard-working the entertainment team are. They work tirelessly to include all the holiday makers in various activities. Alexis was one of our favorites, he was funny and charming and always a pleasure to speak to.
We can't wait until our next visit back to Iberostar!
Loved the resort! Great employees, shows and food. The beach is beautiful, I felt so comfortable and had so much fun. The beach is beautiful. My stay at Iberostar was great, I highly recommend this resort
My wife and I stayed at the Iberostar along with 3 other couples for 5 days in Feb 2019. The hotel, pool, and beach areas were very clean and well maintained. The check in and check out processes were fast and easy. The rooms were standard hotel rooms, but they were up to date and very clean. If you can, get an ocean view and ask to be on a floor higher than 4, in order to get a clear view.
Food (buffet) was good and they had a wide variety to choose from each day. The lobby bar was a nice place to meet up and enjoy drinks while deciding what to do later, or the next day. The swim up bar was great, although you must be careful not to get burned while you are chatting and enjoying the cocktails!
We would certainly go to the Iberostar again and I would definitely stay longer next time.
The only negative aspect I can think of, was that you had to get to the pool early in order to get a chair which would be in some shade during the day. Other than that, the pool area was great.
Overall, trip was amazing! The variety of food was excellent, service was 10/10 - clean rooms, great staff! Entertainment staff are extremely energetic and provide a ton of fun games! Norberto is wonderful! Definitely will be coming back and highly, highly recommend!
This resort is okay. It is beautiful, and the facilities are clean. The food is not that great. We ate in all the restaurants except the adult-only gourmet one. The American Bistro was good. The steak restaurant was good. The Japanese restaurant was basically the same as Benihana's. Our chef that night dropped a utensil (which hit my husband) and broke a glass. The food was only okay, although the squid left my tummy a bit topsy turvy during the night. The Mexican restaurant was fine. Both the Mexican restaurant and the steak restaurant had buffets you visited before getting your main entree, which was sort of weird for "fine" dining. The regular buffet restaurant was okay, although many of the desserts were pretty tasteless - the kind that look pretty but don't taste like much of anything. The pastries/muffins all looked better than they tasted.
The pools are beautiful - it was just sad that they closed at 7pm. My kids really enjoyed joining the kids club - I forget their names, but the ladies working there were the kindest people ever! My kids (ages 7 & 10) LOVED them! We enjoyed the programs they had during the day at the pool - entertaining.
The ocean had red flags every day, so we didn't spend much time swimming there.
The room was fine, beds were fine, bathroom was fine, bathroom products were great. We were there for a convention, so there wasn't all that much time to relax.
