How to Get There
I came to this hotel a year and a half ago with my boyfriend, and recently visited again. We love this spot because it is a quiet and relaxing beachfront hotel in the middle of Cancun.
Every room has a beach view and a jacuzzi, and the staff makes you feel like royalty. The food is also incredible. They are in the middle of renovating, and put us in the newest suite. It’s beautiful and charming. Can’t wait to return a third time.
Basic maintenance has been deferred so long that it's no longer pleasant to stay here. the location is great, but the facility is beyond down at heels. Plumbing is questionable and we had issues with our charge card that had to be resolved months later by the credit card company.
After the last place we stayed this was a welcome change. First the good: We had a huge room overlooking the Caribbean. Nice, helpful staff was very attentive. The bad: The whole place needs paint and maintenance which hasn’t been done for a while. Toilet burps water and poo up on to the seat when flushed, water condensation leaks on your head from the air conditioning vent curtain would not open but just a few feet for a view of the sea.
Don't let the pretty pictures fool you. The check in was horrible. We were told that we had to pay for all inclusive the day of check in , but we were told by the condo owner that we could do this on a daily basis. We opted out of doing all inclusive and ate out every day. Once checking in the room was horrible and smelled like mildew. The balcony was flooded because the hot tub was busted, pipes were exposed, amongst a host of other problems. We then was "upgraded" to the two bedroom suite that was ok but only one t.v and it was in one of the bedrooms and everything was in spanish. The hotel should be a max of 175 per night. The only pro was that it was walking distance to the luxury mall. The hill that you have to walk up and down was terrible, should have a golf cart at the bottom of the hill for your guest. The bricks on the hill are loose, almost fell. The "swim up pool bar" was a joke. For the amount of money you charge per night you need to have a better selection of liquor, people come to the hotel zone to party and get wasted. The bartender was there and left for a whole hour. Good thing we bought our own drinks to the pool. It was only two umbrellas at the pool. The air conditioning on the first floor of the two bedroom suite didn't work. I heard someone else was about to buy or become partner with this hotel, i hope they have good ideas and a lot of changes. Beyond the hotels control but the seaweed was awful, couldn't go to the beach because it was sooooooooo much of it everywhere!! The wifi sucked!!
No RCI member should ever stay at this location. They give you the worse rooms that I have ever seen: mold stains in walls, curtains, chairs, closet. Unusable hot tub. Falling apart items.The hotel is in need of major remodeling. I have pictures to prove all this. Service is slow and not even close to what you get in any other resort/hotel in the area.
