Affordable apartment-style beachfront hotel on Cancún’s main drag, with a pool, a bar and two on-site restaurants

The Lowdown

Set in Cancún’s main hotel zone, about a five-minute drive from the main nightlife scene and other popular attractions, the 138-room hotel has a prime location on the Caribbean Sea. The One-Bedroom Suites are spacious and feel more like mini-apartments, with tropical decor (floral print throw pillows, lime-green seat cushions and starfish-shaped ornaments), a separate living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher) and a private balcony from which the glinting azure waters are on full display. Take things down a notch by whiling away an afternoon poolside, hitting the pristine beach, pumping some iron in the gym or heading to the bar for a frothy cocktail. When hunger strikes, two on-site restaurants cook up classic Mexican cuisine and international specialties, as well as a buffet breakfast.

In the Area

There are a number of restaurants near the hotel, but it’s worth going the extra distance to Peter’s Restaurante for excellent Mexican fusion — the chef himself is frequently on hand to chat with guests. Visitors can also learn the art of Mexican cooking with several cooking classes and tours in the area. For a night on the town, Coco Bongo is a mix of an electrifying dance club with outstanding live performances of popular local musicians. Cancún has no shortage of water activities, including snorkeling, jet skiing, and even shark diving. If you’re looking to venture out for a day trip, the ruins of Chichen Itza, one of the best-known ancient Mayan cities, is about two and a half hours from Cancún and well worth the trip.

Great base for a holiday in Cancun

We stayed here for 2 weeks for a family holiday. Our room was upgraded on arrival we had a massive suite with an additional room with a sofa bed as well as kitchen and two balcony’s. Everything was clean with maid service every day with new towels and beds made and rooms swept and cleaned throughout. Air con was great and very welcome as it is hot hot hot. Around the hotel is also very clean and everyone who works here is helpful and welcoming. The pool area was great and the beach which is literally on the other side of the pool is absolutely beautiful turquoise sea and white sand it is literally breathtaking with free sun beds and beach side service from the beach restaurant which sells cocktails and delicious food. We highly recommend this hotel which is a great base to explore all the beautiful sights that Cancun has to offer.

Fabulous holiday

Just returned from Mexico having stayed at the Beachscape with my extended family. We booked self catering for 2wks. Our lodgings were a 2-bed/2bathroom apartment. The rooms were spacious, beds nice and firm. The kitchen was equipped with coffee maker, blender, cutlery, plates, glasses, cups, bowls and pots. Huge fridge/freezer.
Our room was cleaned and beds turned daily. All the staff were lovely.
The pool is a good size and it’s literally a few minutes walk to the clean, sandy beach.
The grounds are well tended, beautiful flowers everywhere. There’s a laundry 25c to wash a load (get some US quarters before you go) or buy tokens from reception (that’ll cost you more).
At the beachside there’s the hotel restaurant- food only OK. They also offer you beachside service do you have cocktails etc by the beach. There’s also a restaurant by the pool that serves breakfast - good selection of food.
All in all we had an amazing holiday. Loved the hotel. Would highly recommend.

Enjoyed stay after bumpy start
leigh c

Just stayed here after moving from moon palace
When we checked in we were told we had to pay again as out travel agents had not paid
We were not very happy but paid when we got to the room we contacted the agent and intact the room had been paid for and he forwarded the hotel the receipt
The hotel then refunded our payment so all ok!
Room was very nice a one bed apartment however during the night there was heavy rain and when we got up the rain was coming through the ceiling and there was a puddle and the sofa was wet
We contacted reception and they sent maintenance who patched up the ceiling but didnt bother to clean up the mess they had left so had to then contact housekeeping!!
The beach was beautiful lots of sun beds and pool also very nice
Breakfast was ok but could be improved by offering bacon
Although we had some problems we would come back to the hotel again
