Overview

Affordable apartment-style beachfront hotel on Cancún’s main drag, with a pool, a bar and two on-site restaurants

The Lowdown

Set in Cancún’s main hotel zone, about a five-minute drive from the main nightlife scene and other popular attractions, the 138-room hotel has a prime location on the Caribbean Sea. The One-Bedroom Suites are spacious and feel more like mini-apartments, with tropical decor (floral print throw pillows, lime-green seat cushions and starfish-shaped ornaments), a separate living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher) and a private balcony from which the glinting azure waters are on full display. Take things down a notch by whiling away an afternoon poolside, hitting the pristine beach, pumping some iron in the gym or heading to the bar for a frothy cocktail. When hunger strikes, two on-site restaurants cook up classic Mexican cuisine and international specialties, as well as a buffet breakfast.

In the Area

There are a number of restaurants near the hotel, but it’s worth going the extra distance to Peter’s Restaurante for excellent Mexican fusion — the chef himself is frequently on hand to chat with guests. Visitors can also learn the art of Mexican cooking with several cooking classes and tours in the area. For a night on the town, Coco Bongo is a mix of an electrifying dance club with outstanding live performances of popular local musicians. Cancún has no shortage of water activities, including snorkeling, jet skiing, and even shark diving. If you’re looking to venture out for a day trip, the ruins of Chichen Itza, one of the best-known ancient Mayan cities, is about two and a half hours from Cancún and well worth the trip.

Quiet and Comfort in full size suites!

Smaller 3-level resort that was impeccable maintained and reletively quiet as it is has many residents owning their condos. HUGE pool and pool deck with ample cushioned loungers or tables and chairs always available. Gated security fence with 2 entrances onto pristine white sand beach with plenty of palm trees providing shade or thatched palapas for the whole family. Could walk out in the ocean for almost 1/2 mile before the need to swim! Favorite part was the beach bar/restaurant...we stayed there 4 nights and even though wanted to try elsewhere - every meal we ordered was just as enjoyable as the last - so why leave? Insanity of Cancun and Zona Hoteleria all around you!

Excellent Cancún Resort

If you are looking for opulent luxury - don’t stay here. But if you want honest service, a great beach and pool, clean and comfortable rooms, decent food, and nearby access to Cancún amenities then this is the place. Photo is from our fourth floor villa. Yes, we paid the extra charge for an ocean view and kitchen. Well worth it. We also took the public bus multiple times (to get to the market, ferry, and restaurants) and walked everyday for groceries. Not because we had to, but because we wanted to and it was easy from this location.

Beautiful resort with friendly staff and all amenities needed

First let me say that cece "sexy" and rubi "vicky" were fantastic at the beach bar and we loved their company. The staff is amazing and very helpful. We stayed in a 2 room suite through "homeaway" and were very comfortable. There is a little shop next to checkin that literally has all the little things you forget to pack. Vicente is the restaurant manager and is super friendly and very attentive. He made us laugh watching him shoo away the wild birds in the outside eating area. We will definitely be back next year! Make sure to leave a tip at the breakfast buffet because these guys work hard and deserve it.

Cancun Escapade

The place is nice. The suite we stayed is very spacious and complete amenities and 2 large veranda where you can see the beautiful scenery at night. Near downtown area and Walwart where you can buy your drinks and food stuffs if you want to cook your meals, though they have a resto bar which serve delicious meals. I love the grilled pargo fish with cajun sauce. Perfect!!! The internet is a little bit poor... the signal is on and off and you need to reconnect oftentimes to get the signal.
