How to Get There
My daughter is at university in Montreal (we live in another province) so we visit her once or twice a month, and always stay at Loews Hotel Vogue. The staff is always courteous and polite. The room is always spotlessly clean. The bathroom (and bathrobes) is amazing. When we have treated ourselves to room service, the food is always prompt, and arrives hot. I really can't say enough good things. It's a family favourite.
The first night was fine and the reception and the staff and the service were great. We arrived Friday night and we departed Tuesday morning, even though we had late check out we woke up really early due to the construction work opposite the hotel and the not good soundproof windows as we experienced them. The last two nights the service wasn't as expected from a 5 star hotel; more like service from a 4 star one to put it REALLY politely.
To sum it up the last two nights we barely slept.They didn't inform us at all about our right to order complimentary water bottles so we used the one from the mini bar. We have stayed at great 5 star hotels which they were always informing us for what we have bought with the rate we have paid. NOT here. By the way at the same time at the hotel were a lot of people and we asked what is happening? The informed us that they are NOT guests they just film a reality show like a talent show of a kind. The +one star is for the service of one good reception employee we witnessed throughout our stay, named Veronica which she was sublime. As well the valet offered sublime service.
As a conclusion how they managed it at the end the offered ONLY for the 3rd night 50% discount even though we didn't sleep for 2 nights. The 50% that they offered was of a higher price (with all the taxes) that we agreed upon with the reception. Booking was cheaper!!! Even though they insisted that through the hotel to book it is cheaper; I had to tell them sorry I am a chess champion since the age of 3 years old I understand what is what. They were actually rude.
We wouldn't be returning customers and that is shame for them because we always respect 100% the place we stay at no matter what price we have paid for that.
Pros: The room on the 7th floor was really bright and nice (but construction work Monday to Friday and not good soundproof windows)
Cons: everything else.
We stayed at another 5 star hotel the previous days at de la montagne area as well that was far superior and next time we would go there instead of here.
You will need a big amount of patience to stay here and then some more as we experienced it. Consider that we stayed in February which is not even the high season!!! So we were really surprised about the lack of the above mentioned.
It's a shame because the rooms are really beautiful and the bathroom is sublime.
As well that it's clean.
I wish the service would be good and the overall facilties as well but they weren't as we experienced them.
P. S. : When we informed them about the price that we agreed upon (which isn't about the money per se but that once a deal is made they can't do whatever they want - this is not how life works-) the only guy at the reception told us that they can only charge us more IRONICALLY BUT NOT LESS.
IS THAT SERVICE OF A 5 STAR HOTEL?

Oh and the sleepers we asked were yellow which yellow and brown is not the best colour because it makes you think what that could be.
We were celebrating our anniversary and the hotel staff made sure everything was in order. Really appreciated the work that was done and we definitely will come back in the future. Room is huge, clean and well appointed
From the moment I arrived, the customer service was off the charts. I could not have asked for a better experience, the check-in desk, bell hops and housekeeping were extremely accommodating.
For the hotel itself, I had a wonderful stay. The room was clean and the minbar was priced reasonably (except for the Champagne). I wished I had time to experience the bar and the breakfast, unfortunately.
My two sisters and I stayed here for 2 nights in February.
The hotel itself is beautiful and in a great location.
It’s clean, quiet, and check in went smoothly - all very important.
However, the beds are absolutely tiny. Each night the two of us who had to share had terrible sleeps.
We asked if we could get a cot in the room the second night and the hotel refused because of fire safety.
The room was huge and could have easily fit a rollaway bed.
Heat system in the room either made the room burning hot or ice cold. No in between.
Slept a total of maybe 5 hours in two days.
Would not return for this reason.
Unless I was staying solo or with one other person.
