How to Get There
The hotel is beautiful and within walking distance to everywhere. Shopping, site seeing, food, pubs, bistros etc. You can walk everywhere from this location. It is a boutique hotel so there is no huge lobby. It is in an old bank and is quaint with an incredible concierge. There is only one restaurant which can be a problem if there is a function which did happen our first night. They did serve drinks to guests in the library, while the main restaurant/bar was closed. There is a spa on site but not staffed regularly so you have to book ahead of time. It is in an old bank vault which is super cool looking. The rooms are large with a sitting area and large bath. The bed was comfortable and they have a turn down service. One negative is that there is no view since its in the middle of town. The room service was also nice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to be in an ideal location.
This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Montreal. We stayed in a junior suite, which was very comfortable, but slightly small. Check in is very late until 4 pm !
The hotel is well located. The concierge staff were outstanding and could not have been more helpful , went to an outstanding seafood restaurant. Unfortunately on the first night of our stay the restaurant let the hotel down . The service was very poor, not enough staff to cope and the food was average, so was breakfast.
We also asked for black label whisky at the bar but they had run out, really as a five star hotel not good enough. Nice enough, but apart from the concierge and his wonderful recommendations, this hotel lacks , not up to five star service.
We stayed for 4 nights in mid October and found this a great place to consider "home" exploring Montreal. Robert the Operations Manager was very attentive to our comfort, Concierge (Yannis, Kara, others) were top notch in arranging reservations, Bell Staff always welcoming, and restaurant staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was well appointed and consistently cleaned up. We would explore daily, return to our exquisite room, freshen up for a dinner nearby, then return to a room that was prepped for a good night sleep. Thank you Robert and crew!!
A top quality 5* hotel in the heart of downtown Montreal. Friendly staff, classic decor. Thoroughly enjoyed and recommend. We took an extra room for our Montreal relatives so they could experience the comfort
This hotel is in a beautiful building well located close to the old port and surrounding district which is crammed with interesting narrow streets and some wonderful architecture. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating and our 9th floor room was of a very good standard. The bedding was excellent, something that really tells you it’s s good hotel.
Our only gripe was the service in the XO restaurant. On 2 out of 3 mornings clients who arrived after us had their breakfast served before us, even though we ordered from the menu. On the last day I ordered 2 boiled eggs and got 2 cold poached eggs.
Would return though.
