Hotel Bonaventure Montreal lunch and supper restaurant
Reviewed 10 hours ago

Non-judgmental, professional, and respectful staff. From check in persons, housekeeping, breakfast, lunch, and supper waiters, to pool staff, patrons safety and comfort were their primary priorities. For example, at dinner one night I observed a waiter professionally assisting a inebriated woman at the bar. Later, glad to know that he had CPR. Our three weeks stay became a home away from home.

Wonderful location!

We stayed at this property for one night for the purpose of checking out McGill University and the surrounding area. The location of the hotel was 10-15 minutes from McGill, downtown, Old Montreal and the port area. This made it perfect for exploring. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We don't speak French, and everyone was quick to flip over to English for us. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. We plan to stay again for a return visit in August.

A very comfortable hotel

This is a very good hotel and good service for us. This is my first time to visit Montreal. The location of Hotel Bonaventure Montreal is in the center of Montreal. It is near Montreal central station. It is very convenient to take the subway and the train to other cities.

Lost more than Hilton Banner

I booked this hotel thinking that it was still a Hilton. Even though it has been many years I thought how different can it be. Unfortunately, it’s nothing like it was. Sure it still looks the same, and still has the same marvelous heated pool but it was the small things that made all the difference. First reg flag was when they told us we had a beautiful room overlooking the pond. It’s nothing of the sort. Not a big deal but why tell us that. There was one glass cup and when asked for another they gave us a stack of cardboard cups. Not ideal for a nice wine. Ice machine non existent and didn’t direct to another. I don’t know if it was because we booked with Agoda but I felt we were given a reject room and service to go along with it. Only plus was that they acknowledged our anniversary with a plate of sweets. Nice touch but I would have preferred to have breakfast included or extra coffee in the morning.

Amazing huge building run like a small hotel

wonderful hospitality with a personal touch - we were only there 3 nights, yet felt welcomed and recognized almost immediately. Dennis the bartender is a gem, and their self serve machine in the breakfast lounge makes astonishingly delicious coffee. quiet, nice sized room and great AC. The gym is full of Precor equipment with a separated (large!) room with mats, mirrors, yoga balls, etc. Truly a gem among a sea of "ultra-modern" decor hotels these days. the river with ducks and ducklings and koi add something lovely to leisurely breakfasts, that is for sure.
