Average hotel, amazing outdoor pool!
Reviewed 1 day ago

This hotel is okay but average at best. The rooms were spacious; although, the bathroom was very small. I found small hairs in the bathroom and quite abit of dust in the main room. It seems like they cleaned the room in a rush or didn't do the best job of cleaning.

Best feature is the outdoor heated pool. It looks amazing at night.

Customer service checking in was great. Some hiccups throughout the stay, such as having to wait nearly 10 minutes for a server to seat us in the dining room table. There was a lineup, so we peaked in the back room and noticed she was chatting in the back with her co-workers.

Overall average hotel

Beautiful with incredibly helpful staff
Reviewed 2 days ago

First and foremost - every single staff member we talked with was helpful beyond belief. When we asked a question, we were offered additional help. This was true right down to the people who cleaned our rooms or monitored the pool and the bellman. The hotel is incredibly beautiful. In snow - it is stunning. There are a series of underground tunnels where you can access restaurants, shops, and a skating rink! The rooms are large and well taken care of. You have to see (and even try) the indoor outdoor pool, which my family happily used when it was 11 degrees outside. It stays heated at 83 all year round. We would come back again!

Good Stay, Great Location and fun pool
Reviewed 3 days ago

We stayed here to catch a concert at the Bell Center. It was very nice to be able to walk there and back underground on a cold December night. The outdoor pool was a nice break in the day. Executive lounge breakfast was your standard buffet breakfast food, but better than average. The room comfortable and spacious, the view was nice. I would stay here again.

Horrible Service
Reviewed 7 days ago

I have stayed here before. Since then, the service has gone downhill. On arrival I was told my room was not ready (I arrived after the check in time). The front desk person was sour and verged on rude when I asked how long it would be - "I don't know, we have lots of guests".I asked if they could text me when the room was ready. "We don't do that." After an hour I finally got checked in to find out I was on the third floor and there is no elevator to the third floor. What? How do they comply with disability legislation? I asked if someone could bring my bag to the room, to be advised by yet a different person that "you'll have to wait, I can't find a porter." After 15 minutes I simply carried my own bag. The room itself was nicely appointed (hence my giving a rating of 2). However, no water in the room (The fridge was empty). Minimum toiletries. Had to buy a small bottle of water at the store in the main lobby - very expensive. One morning I called the main desk to ask if my Fedex package had arrived. I kept getting transferred from one person to another. I finally said to the fourth person, who was also sour and seemed upset I was calling, that they could call me. Never did. I will never stay here again.

Noisy & unhelpful
Reviewed 1 week ago

Currently staying here for 5 nights (4 Dec 18). Arrived after long haul at 11:10pm last night to be informed no food or room service was available. Kitchen closed 10 mins ago and zero flexibility from the bar staff. No mini bars in rooms (there used to be!).

Building work on the roof, walls makes any day time rest (from 9am to 4pm) impossible and any calls or Skype from hotel rooms are frankly hilarious. It’s like the builders are in your room!

I asked to switch rooms as I’m staying another 4 nights (!!) and the front desk says it’s “pot luck” as they could move rooms but they have no schedule of works and so can’t guarantee a quiet area. They “don’t want to inconvenience me further” was the response! Seriously...

I have stayed here many, many times and the gym and pool are great.

But ridiculous and outdated rules on kitchen inflexibility, no room service after 11pm, no mini bar and the constant building noise means I’d warn you to stay away for now. The W or the Intercontinental - I usually alternate while in Montreal - are much better bets for the foreseeable future!

Good luck if you are on your way!
