How to Get There
This hotel was amazing! We wanted to be in old Montreal and enjoy the experience, and this hotel did not disappoint! The staff were super attentive, and our room was beautiful and very comfy. We opted for a room facing the water, and thoroughly enjoyed opening our windows to hear the sounds of the street below! We heard the restaurant downstairs was also great, we'll check it out for sure the next time we are in Montreal,,,as we will surely be staying here.
We stayed at the Auberge du Vieux Port for one night in January. We had a great stay. It's very well located to visit Old Montreal and the surrounding landmarks. The service was friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and with a cozy decor of exposed brick and wooden beams. The hotel restaurant has very good food, both for dinner and breakfast.
We absolutely loved this hotel! It was quaint, clean, the room was beautiful and the bed was more comfortable than other hotels. Not only did we love the hotel, but the staff were beyond terrific. Lara , the concierge went over and above to help us in every way possible! We had asked for her opinion of local restaurants, night life and local tours. Lara was an encyclopedia of ideas, reservations and consideration. Another staff member who was phenomenal was Marina, one of the bartenders. She obligingly let me speak to her in French so I could practice, gave us suggestions on drinks and was professionally friendly. WE visited the Tavern Gas Bar two nights in a row and Marina welcomed us warmly each night, remembering our drink preferences. We plan on visiting Montreal again and will certainly stay at Auberge du Vieux-Port.
We took 10 of our staff and their spouses away to Montreal from Toronto last weekend and everything at Auberge was perfect! The staff was welcoming and acomadating! The rooms were clean, modern, yet had a touch of old Montreal. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone looking to stay by the water in old Montreal. The bar/restaurant shared with the hotel is fantastic for breakfast or a few drinks before exploring the town!
My last experience at the auberge de vieux-port lofts - was a dream come true. Unfortunately my father made my reservation for me and my 2 friends. He made it for the wrong weekend - they were extremely accommodating as well as my father calling in to speak with his contact as we stay here all the time when we are in montreal 2-4 times a month for business. Our room was upgraded no charge as they only had 2 bedroom lofts available. Marvellous experience.
