Often considered Vietnam’s most charming ancient town, Hoi An is full of beautifully preserved houses that reflect a myriad of cultural influences, from China and Japan to France. The whole place is UNESCO World Heritage protected and has a mellow, artistic flavor, many of its historic buildings having been converted into galleries and cafés. Such a romantic and intriguing destination warrants a suitably elegant base, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a better one than La Siesta Resort & Spa.
Set just outside the old town, overlooking green rice fields, the property is a peaceful sanctuary, with exceptional five-star facilities. Among the highlights are a freshwater pool, lined by cabanas and loungers, plus a soothing saltwater alternative, a must-visit spa and two relaxed restaurants. You can borrow a red Japanese postman-style bicycle to ride about in the local village lanes and in Hoi An – though your outings won’t just be of the cultural variety. The resort also runs a scheduled shuttle service to golden An Bang beach and reserves an exclusive section of the sands.
Veranda suites are located in the east wing, a terrace of eight traditional-style townhouse villas. Decked out with period furnishings, traditional floor tiles and four-poster beds with a hoop canopies, they’re among the most romantic rooms in the resort. Expect about 592 square feet, equivalent to a junior suite, that includes a large bathroom with a private sauna, an herbal bathtub and separate rainforest shower. There’s also a furnished pool-view porch to the front and a shared garden area at the back.
There are two restaurants at La Siesta Resort & Spa. Fine-dining option The Temple proffers a modern-fusion menu, bringing together European and Asian flavors. Alternatively, Red Bean walks you through Vietnam’s most iconic dishes, as well as local specialties from the Quang Nam province. For drinks, there’s the poolside Feliz Bar, open till late.
La Siesta Spa is situated in dedicated villas within the east wing. Home to four treatment rooms, linked by wooden walkways in tropical gardens, it features saunas, barrel-essence bathtubs and a Jacuzzi.
A scheduled shuttle service runs to the old town and to An Bang beach, where an area with loungers and towels is set aside for you and other guests. You might also consider riding a postman-style bike along rice fields, and visiting the UNESCO World Heritage-protected old town is a must. The staff can set up such excursions as cocktail demonstrations and cooking classes.
How to Get There
You cannot go wrong here. Trust me. 10 minute walk or free shuttle tonold town center. The staff are immaculate. Perfect hotel all around. Ive been all over the world. This service and attention is hard to beat.
Wow! This hotel is amazing. All the reviews are true! The staff is warm, friendly, helpful and made us feel at home. Without a doubt, you should book here. We went for our anniversary and this hotel was an oasis. There's nowhere else like it in Hoi An (a very charming city!).
We had a spacious Club room with a balcony. It was gorgeous!! Comfortable bed and delicious breakfasts. The pool is wonderful and so was the spa! It felt so luxurious. We've traveled extensively and this was easily one of our favorites hotels!
The hotel has a shuttle bus into town but it was a short walk. After a long day, our hotel felt like the perfect getaway from the hustle of the town. We had happy hour drinks by the pool and enjoyed every moment. Thank you La Siesta Hoi An for an exceptional and memorable stay!
As a note, we also stayed at the La Siesta in Hanoi and it was also excellent! Highly recommend both! Their unbelievable hospitality made our stay in Vietnam one of our best trips ever.
Nice service, kind staff, amazing swimming pool and clean room. The only thing was disappointing was the breakfast, we usually travel to danang and hoi an and was not the best at all for the price we paid.
I stayed at this hotel with my family 17.10.2018- 18.10.2018. I regret that I stayed just one day. I had to stay long term. I got a very warmest service. They take care of us delicately. They always have a smile!
They made effort to speak korean for my parents who can not speak english. It made that my parents feel relaxibly. And they suggested better things for us for example Room style, ways of trip, way to go back to airport and so on.
When I worried about that my family have to wait a long time before flight, La siesta staffs give a solution to me earlier.
They always seem to think about customer’s happiness. If you go to La siesta, you can be happy. :)
Have a good time at this resort!!!!!!!!
Do not hesitate!!!! :)
This is the best hotel we experienced in our two weeks in Vietnam, and we would highly recommend it. Our only regret is that we didn't stay here for longer. We came across the hotel after eating at the restaurant, and were so impressed by the grounds, the staff, and the overall cleanliness that we booked in. We booked the grand suite, which may be out of the price range of some guests, however, it was excellent value for money when compared with what we have paid in other hotels. Linh in guest services was not only very friendly, but went out of her way to give us tips for Hoi An and Hanoi. We have stayed in many hotels, and this was the best service we have ever received. I also recommend eating in the restaurants – both The Temple and Red Bean restaurants were fantastic. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
