Overview

A tranquil countryside resort on the edge of UNESCO-listed Hoi An, with traditonally inspired décor

The Lowdown

Escape into the tranquil Hoi An countryside at this boutique resort. Surrounded by an expanse of green and hidden from sight by swaying palms, it is the perfect escape for seclusion-seeking couples. A world of its own, but just a short drive away from historical Hoi An, it makes a great base to experience the magic of one of the remaining ancient cities in the world.
There’s an air of peacefulness as you walk up the cobblestone driveway of the resort. Here quaint white buildings with their sloping, tiled roofs sit clustered around a lagoon-like pool (it also comes with a Jacuzzi) that looks out towards untouched countryside. Rooms are on the second floor of the compound and offer the same view and more from your private balcony.
Here you’ll be pampered by the usual resort and spa offerings – delectable buffet spreads, a range of spa treatments and all the time you need by the pool to take in the balmy weather. We say take the opportunity to explore this ancient land. It’s not every day that you’re given the opportunity to cycle around Hoi An Ancient Town, explore Marble Mountains, or even learn to make pho from traditional bakeries. The resort has been awarded a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.

Beautiful Location

The place, people, facilities, treats and cleanliness is exceptional here. Our family with 3 teenagers felt like home. We were always greeted with smiles, room treats, ice cubes in the pool, bikes and a great regular free shuttle to town and the beach everyday. The poolside food and happy hour cocktails were awesome.....we are definitely coming back thank you!!

Amazing again

We stayed here last year and enjoyed it so much that we decided to stay again this year. We weren't disappointed.
We had the same room as last year on the second floor partially overlooking the paddy fields. The room is gorgeous. The pictures on the website are accurate but what you obviously don't get from the website is the smell. You walk into your room and the smell of lemongrass from an oil burner wafts over you and, instant relaxation. Stunning. The rooms are spotless, the beds comfortable, the amenities faultless.
The grounds are beautiful. The pool lovely, and the breakfast awesome.
The staff are excellent. We used the shuttle to town a couple of times but it's so cheap to get a taxi that it's not an issue. I've run out of words to describe it.

Hidden gem!!

Hoi An Ancient Village Resort & Spa is a hidden gem located a short drive away from the hustle & bustle. We were somewhat dubious as our agent booked for us and we were worried it was possibly a bit basic and dated. We were proved wrong!! The resort is nestled in a tropical hideaway - surrounded by banana trees, bamboo, frangapani trees and lush gardens. The infinity pool looks over wide open grazing land with lazy water Bufalo adding some interest.
Rooms are stunning and well appointed. A large stone bath greets guests upon entering the room (even though we didn’t use the bath it sure looks impressive). Beds are huge but we did find them extremely hard ( which took a few days to adjust to).
We enjoyed the morning breakfast buffet in the restaurant and also dined there for dinner a couple of nights.
A free courtesy bus runs guests in & out of the Village & beach regularly.
Definitely put this location on your places to visit in Vietnam.

Excellent relaxing location very close to both ancient village and beach

Could not fault this place. Everything about it was excellent. The staff were so friendly and helpful willing to do anything to aisst and give advice. Great place to chill out and free bikes into town. They also have a shuttle service which I would recommend on getting. Very realiable and much nicer than the taxi men we came across. Room was amazing and so clean.

We've been staying at this property for the last 3 days and enjoying it immensely. Huge comfortable rooms. The beds are so large you may lose your spouse. Everything is clean and well designed. The pool area, breakfast and bar area are located nicely away from the rooms. Great spa. Staff is so helpful and speak english so well you have no worries here.
