Fabulous place
Reviewed 23 hours ago

Myself and my husband visited Almanity in February and it was the best place we stayed in Vietnam. The Almanity family (the staff) are first rate. They couldn’t be more helpful.
We stayed five nights and enjoyed the pool, the massages, yoga in the morning and much more. If you are feeling like a break from Asian cuisine then you will find very acceptable food available, providing tasty and satisfying meals. Breakfast is also fabulous.
You can walk into the old town from Almanity which is great, it at the end of the day, you can return to your oasis of calm.
I highly recommend this place, don’t bother looking elsewhere.
Thank you to all the staff for their care and kindness during our stay. When we left, it was like saying goodbye to old friends.

Heavenly hotel and spa

We had a lovely stay at the Almanity. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The place is stunning! beautifully decorated and a peaceful haven a short distance from the Old Town. We had a couple of massage treatments included in our package and found the spa to the nicest one I've been to. Wish I stayed longer at this hotel.

The ULTIMATE wellness resort!
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I had no idea a hotel stay could be like this! Everything was wonderfully centred around wellness, relaxation and rejuvenation of the body and the mind. It was the perfect escape from the busy streets of Hoi An, and felt like a super exclusive retreat in the middle of the city. This is the kind of place where you just check in and let them take care of the rest. As someone who travels full time, this was the biggest relief for me! I could just unwind and re-connect with myself and my husband, and indulge in some pampering sessions.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone with an interest in health and wellness, yoga, spirituality or who just wants to chill and feel pampered.

What makes this hotel unique:
- Color therapy. Each day there is a new feature color that comes with it’s own mantra and theme to help balance/mind by addressing a certain feeling or need. It was such a nice added touch and really contributed to the overall wellness experience.
- Daily massages included. I’ve been to so many upscale hotels where the massages cost as much as the nightly room rate! I would never get them because they were so overpriced, so it was SO nice to be able tp treat myself daily, because they are included in the (very reasonable) nightly rate here!
- Detox tea in room. They stock the room with multiple herbal teas, all with different healing benefits to the body. Like dandelion for skin, ginger for immune system, etc.
- Daily yoga classes. In the early morning you can take the free yoga classes to start the day off right.
- Afternoon tai chi. At 4pm in the afternoon, just outside of the spa entrance, the staff all stop to do Tai-chi. It’s beautiful to watch, but also very beneficial to join in.
- Refreshing check-in. When we arrived we were seated, given cold towels and a carrot-passion detox drink, then escorted to our room. It was a great way to start off the stay.

We stayed in the ‘My Energy’ room that has a balcony overlooking the pool. The room itself was HUGE, very modern and was insanely comfortable. Mattresses at hotels in Vietnam are NOT known for being very soft, but this bed was super luxurious! It was hard getting out of tin the morning! There was a dressing area with his and hers closets, desk, and side bar for making tea.The bed was on. A wooden platform that lit up and has a chaise lounge in front of it. The entire feel was very calming and romantic. Loved this room and would book this type again for sure.

The SPA-
Daily massages are included at their huge and lovely on-site spa! Both days we opted for a couples room so we could have them together. The quality of the massage was top notch and the rooms were very comfortable. Afterwards they made us tea while we relaxed in the main spa area. We had the option to take a sauna or a steam as well.
On top o our massages we elected to take the guided meditation class with the spa director from India and it was AMAZING! I have always been so intimidated by meditation (can’t get my mind to stop running) but he was able to make it a truly relaxing and restorative experience! It’s gotten me very interested in continuing on with it.
The gym (although I didn’t use it) was the biggest and nicest I’ve seen in Hoi An!

Gorgeous setting and landscaping and very picturesque. The lounge chairs are comfortable and the towels were a good size. The pool doesn’t get a lot of sun, and for my liking it was too cold, but many people didn’t seem to mind. The waterfall sounds made it ultra relaxing!

The Wi-Fi-
Great speed, no complaints. Was able to stream in the evening.

The breakfast buffet has everything you could ever want. Western, Italian, Japanese, French, and Vietnamese. You can get everything from kimchi, to sushi, to waffles, to omelettes. Yogurt parfaits, salads, noodles, and breakfast meats. They even had these adorable miniature Banh Mi sandwiches and cute mini banana smoothies.
On one of the nights during our stay we opted for a multi-course healthy set menu. It was wonderful because they made super healthy food taste so good! I liked not having to feel guilty about indulging this way and added to the overall wellness theme of our stay. (Yes, they still have other options if you want a cheat meal!)

It’s located just a few blocks north of ancient town, which is an easy walk to get to. Directly across the street there is a 7/11 type convenience store for any soda, snacks or personal items you might need. Taxi’s are always parked out front if you need to go further, or just use the Grab app.

Everyone from the bell boy to housekeeping to the food and beverage staff were wonderful! They were always smiling, asking how your day was, and aiming to give the best service possible. If anything needed to be fixed or corrected, they were very concerned with making it right. They made us feel very much at home.

In conclusion:
The BEST place I’ve stayed for health and wellness. Everything about this place caters to improving your mind, body and soul. It changed the way I look at hotel stays forever. It makes me wonder, why stay anywhere that DOESN’T offer this type of restorative service?
Loved it and I can’t wait to return!

Excellent Resort, excellent location!

We have stayed here each year for 3 consecutive years from 6 - 12 days and will return again next year. The staff are always happy & show real care - nothing is too much trouble. They have become our family as the same staff continue to be there each year which says a lot about Menzies as a great Manager. The amazing massages are very professional and rejuvenating. This year we had a 'My Energy Room' which was larger (to fit my wheelchair). The location of Almanity is brilliant - a short walk to the beautiful ancient city of Hoi An. We have travelled the world and stayed in many resorts but this one is the best!

So relax!!!
