I returned exactly after a year in this beautiful resort surrounded by nature and a stone's throw from the sea. I must say that aside from confirming the impressions of my first time, I noticed a leap in quality in service, both in reception and catering. Bravi!

Amazing Place in Puglia

I did my wedding in there. After look for all masserias in Puglia the Relais Histo for me was the more professional and typical from puglia. It’s really professional, the place are reeeeally beautiful. Is a place that you don’t have worlds to describe. The staff really professional and ready to help you all the time.

Late night stay for business emergency

Arrived approx. 2am, was checked-in fast and shown to my room which was very clean and welcoming. Bathroom was well furnished and 3 shower delivery methods were a welcome surprise. Breakfast was pretty typical, higher end condiments but typical base luxury service (you have to ask if you want something, and keep reminding them your not going away). This is pretty typical for these parts. I didn't use any other services. Considering the area, I will be staying again.

Not good behind the scenes!

Histo hotel is a beautiful quiet place situated in an 80 hectares wide area, outside of Taranto. Rooms are very spacious , modern and well equipped . Pool area is nice with a pool of 30 m length, and the different blocks of the complex are well refurbished from what before seemed to have been a monastery .
On the very opposite and most disappointing is the non existing management of the hotel. NO good service nowhere! It started with a most unfriendly reception crew , it went on daily with most bad service at breakfast (the guy that should prepare the eggs in the morning just does not show up ..), and service for dinner was so bad that we waited one and a half hour between starter and main course .
In the rooms we had no warm water for 3 of the 4 days we stayed in the hotel, but this didn’t disturb neither the service staff nor the management.
A pity for such a wonderful place !

A grand building in a gorgeous spot.

This beautiful property is outside of the busy city of Taranto. The grounds run down to the coast, where local fisherman harvest shellfish. it is scenic and restful, with a warm welcome -- and a delicious breakfast. There are two reasons my rating isn't 5 stars. One is that the room was very hot and the air-conditioning was not yet on for the season. Second, I was really sucked in by the beautiful pictures on the web of the large outdoor hot tub and pool. But it turns out that the hot tub, sauna etc are only available to one individual or couple at a time and must be booked far in advance and a supplement paid. It's unfortunate. The service was excellent and the views from our room were beautiful. Superb value for the price.
