Amazing experience

For starters, chances are that if you reading this review and looking into this place, you already have an idea in mind of what this place is all about and what kind of experience this would be. If so (and if this is what you want), you will love it here. This is a laid-back, remote eco-lodge between Cabarete and Sosua. It is very, very secluded...and that's what makes it so amazing. Walking a mile in either direction on the beach evokes feelings of being on a picturesque deserted island. There is literally not much around except beautiful coastline and lush jungle. But, at the same time, the grounds themselves are well appointed and efficiently managed. This is not camping in the wilderness. Our cabana had a beautiful king sized bed, a modern style stone bathroom, lots of closet space and a mini fridge. The property in general had a great restaurant, a pool, a yoga studio and a garden full of aloe and edible herbs (which are used by the restaurant). A spa is also on premises, as is a very helpful reception desk. The staff also could not have been more friendly and helpful. This really felt like a chill commune on a remote island...except with a high end restaurant, bar and spa! To all the lovely employees at Natura Cabana...I can't thank y'all enough for making our trip so special! Lastly, the town of Cabarete is only about a 10 minute taxi ride away. Very easy to get into town if need be.

What an awesome vacation in a special place with perfect weather! The friendly staff couldn't have have been more accommodating! The location was ideal and the food was delicious! We enjoyed our spacious cabana! Even my busy husband relaxed! Hope to return someday!

Nice

Hotel was lovely, but it was slightly overpriced for the accommodations. We had a smaller room with 2 beds for the family, which was fine. But this was much smaller and more basic than another place we had just stayed closer to the center of Cabarete, and about the same price. I also was really looking forward to a hammock, and unfortunately they are only in the porches of a few of the more expensive bungalows but none in the common areas. The kids really enjoyed the treehouse, so that was a big bonus!

A beautiful week at Natura Cabana

Laid back eco lodge, cool cabanas, yoga temple, beautiful jungle and gardens, amazing coastline. The surf is powerful, the coastline is natural and rugged, with stretches of clean sandy beach. The food and service was wonderful. From morning coffee, the fresh fish, prawns and amazing ceviche, great mojitos. Loved the location. The Natura Cabana beach at sunset is stunning. 15 minute hike to great surfing at Encuentro beach. $10 and 10 minute taxi ride to downtown Cabarete. The staff was very friendly, professional and attentive. Daniel, Renata, Francina, chef Cami were great people to meet and made our experience first class.

Rest and Reset

I was going to be in the country for a bit and wanted a couple days of solo time. This place is literally magic. Every single detail one could think of, they have already thought of it. The room I stayed in was the “caracol”. Evenings listening to the crickets and falling asleep to the ocean crashing and rain were so peaceful. The grounds are so well kept you can feel how much the owners care for their property. The food was excellent and the chef puts much care and attention into each meal. The small pool offers a refreshing break from the heat of needed and I could literally walk to it right off my porch. The beach is seconds away. It’s unspoiled and a bit wild but so enjoyable as there was hardly anyone on it. The walking in either direction offers the most remarkable views. Practicing in their yoga space and walking their organic gardens and the Buddha path was the reason I chose this place. I wasn’t disappointed. So in summary if you are an uncomplicated traveller, solo or not, looking to relax and enjoy nature’s gifts then you must come here.
