Simply paradise!

Natura Cabana is truly an exceptional travel experience. I had wanted a secluded vacation and prefer to stay in smaller, non hotel-style places and this place is magical.

It’s quite remote, and the attention to detail is everything on the premises is spectacular. The staff could not be more helpful, especially the reception staff. The quality of the spa services is amazing- so comfortable, with outdoor showers and a lovely attendant. My room was a 2 story cabana that seemed to be carved out of rock with an upstairs deck- an amazing experience to sleep there in and of itself.

The food is phenomenal- the breakfast/lunch restaurant is perfect for beach days and lighter fare and the dinner restaurant has some of the best food I’ve had anywhere.

The most wonderful part of this place for me, besides the warm hospitality, was the proximity of the beautiful beach. Staff will bring you out beach chairs and there were days where it was just me. Warm, clear water.

This place is heaven. What a fantastic treat.

Unwind And Relax

Highly recommend Natura Cabana if you are looking to relax in total peace. We were not looking for excursions (although reception will help you book anything you want) and running around- just wanted a break from city life and this place gave us what we needed!

Take in all of what nature has to offer here. Grounds are beautiful. We were welcomed by Renata on our first day and given welcome drinks. Quickly brought to our cabana La Piedra and was amazed at the decor and beautifully designed rooms. Walk up the stairs and we had a large porch with 2 chairs and a swinging seated hammock. Spacious large room with a kitchen sink and fridge fully stocked, bathroom was clean and shower had great water pressure. Open concept closet which fit everything nicely and a safe on the bottom. Mosquito nets provided protection and were never bothered inside the room.

Food- amazing!!! Breakfast was included, (yogurt, fresh delicious juice, fruit, all types of bread, etc) but you can pay and order eggs and other breakfast foods. Lunch and dinner were our favorite. I love how they use their own garden and local ingredients to make the food. Try Mahi Mahi cebiche for lunch. The fresh flavors the chefs create are truly phenomenal.

Staff- so accommodating and helpful. Every morning they are working hard raking the leaves around the property grounds and they do everything with a smile on their face. You can tell they are genuine because they were even having fun among themselves and treated each other with respect which added to the happy atmosphere.
Spa- wonderful experience. Swedish and Intense massage both amazing.

Yoga temple- I have practiced yoga many times around New York and Gigi has been my (and my mother's) favorite yoga instructor! My mother continues to rave about Gigi. She had a relaxing voice and modified positions for everyone's level as she walked around.
Wifi is good in the rooms and on the grounds but it starts to get finicky once you walk down to the ocean. The ocean was very rough but I still enjoyed it. We relaxed on the beach chairs and took dips in the ocean.

Cab rides to Sosua or Cabarete are $10. Although, we went to both and preferred to stay at Natura for the beach because it was practically private and no noise at all.
The only suggestion i'd make would be to use some citronella candles or something to keep mosquitoes at bay near the restaurants.

Truly amazing. Thank you, Natura for a wonderful relaxing vacation!

Amazing place, very tranquil and has a great restaurant

Great place to relax. We stayed only for 2 days, and wished we stayed longer. Cabanas are very nice. The staff is very attentive. the only downside was that the sand on the beach has washed away and the rocks made it difficult to get into the water.

If you understand the concept you’ll be fine

We are at the reception checking-in when a lady walked in asking if the rooms had A/C. They do not. So she walked out to search for another option which I thought it was absurd. You walk into this tropical (jungle type) area with incredible vegetation and you are concerned about air conditioner? Why will you ruin breathing this fresh and pure air? Makes no sense.
Well anyway this is a Tropical Lodge concept. It is all natural style with bathrooms made of rocks and villas made of wood and rocks. The place is incredible! And staff is very friendly.

I did find it pricey and food was of small portions for me. The beach is not near. Its a 10 min walk away in nature and many trees. Sit on the sand or on the rocks because this beach is totally unaltered.

Absolutely no music which was great for us. You just hear the sound of the waves. The sea is near-by.

The pool is small but delicious it was just for us.

Hope they can do something about the breakfast size. And hopefully the beach will be there when I’m back. It looks like the ocean had entered and took the sand of the beach.

Amazing experience

For starters, chances are that if you reading this review and looking into this place, you already have an idea in mind of what this place is all about and what kind of experience this would be. If so (and if this is what you want), you will love it here. This is a laid-back, remote eco-lodge between Cabarete and Sosua. It is very, very secluded...and that's what makes it so amazing. Walking a mile in either direction on the beach evokes feelings of being on a picturesque deserted island. There is literally not much around except beautiful coastline and lush jungle. But, at the same time, the grounds themselves are well appointed and efficiently managed. This is not camping in the wilderness. Our cabana had a beautiful king sized bed, a modern style stone bathroom, lots of closet space and a mini fridge. The property in general had a great restaurant, a pool, a yoga studio and a garden full of aloe and edible herbs (which are used by the restaurant). A spa is also on premises, as is a very helpful reception desk. The staff also could not have been more friendly and helpful. This really felt like a chill commune on a remote island...except with a high end restaurant, bar and spa! To all the lovely employees at Natura Cabana...I can't thank y'all enough for making our trip so special! Lastly, the town of Cabarete is only about a 10 minute taxi ride away. Very easy to get into town if need be.
