How to Get There
We've stayed at this hotel 5 different times. This time we stayed for four days as we have had great trips in the past.
On this occasion, it was 35 degrees Celsius, so it was very hot. Our kids visited us right after breakfast and we sat down with them for coffee. The hotel charged us for four coffees which we thought was kind of stingy since we'd just finished our included breakfast, which includes coffee.
But what really got us is that our kids took two bottles of water from the fitness center, which did not indicate any fee for the water.
When we checked out, the hotel charged us for the coffee and $8 for the water and they accuse our kids of stealing it. Obviously they knew these were our kids since they billed our account. They "caught" them on their surveillance cameras apparently.
We think that they should have just comped us the water since we were spending $2000 at the hotel and it was 35 degrees out. But in any case they shouldn't accuse our kids of stealing.
Enjoyed a few days al Albergo Al Sole. Perched at the top of the hill, the view is amazing. Staff were gracious and the accommodations were comfortable. Amenities were nice and room was very clean. We had the attic suite which was very comfortable for travelling with teens.
Breakfast was fine. I've had better.
For the price I paid, I would have expected a bit more. There's really nothing on the property that exudes the extras that one would expect from a 5* hotel.
Next time, I'll try the Cipriani.
This was our second time to Asolo in 6 weeks. The first visit was family and our most recent visit was with friends. The hotel is absolutely superb... the staff are super from the girls on reception to the restaurant. The restaurant terrace is simply gorgeous. We explored the region and fell in love all over again.
Albergo Al Sole is beautifully decorated - from the stylish lobby to the cozy rooms. The breakfasts overlooking Asolo were absolutely incredible.
Even more incredible are the staff at Albergo Al Sole... You can really feel the dedication and passion at this family run hotel. A member of our group was ill during our stay and the staff did everything to make her feel more comfortable. They were so helpful and warm...we really cannot thank them enough.
One of the best hotels we have stayed at in Italy. If coming to Asolo, please stay at this beautiful place!
I have visited Asolo numerous times and have stayed at Al Sole a few times as well as some of the other hotels in the area. Sole is a great hotel. They have a fantastic deck that overlooks the center and mountain side. The service is always impeccable. We arrived late Sunday evening and they kept the kitchen open for us an hour past closing. The servers were gracious and had a smile the whole time despite it being past closing. The rooms are spacious and have lots of character. Asolo is an incredible village that you can not miss if your in this region of italy. Fantastic service e and accommodations
