The perfect girls trip!!
Reviewed 1 month ago

The hotel is so beautiful, the service amazing, and the food was the best in Asolo! The amenities were perfect, the option to get coffee or wine at all hours was so accommodating, and the location in town was delightful. We were there Oct 28 week with insane winds causing the power to be out in the entire town. The Albergo Al Solo had a generator!! Not only was the blackout evening saved but the staff did a tremendous job of an absolutely amazing dinner with, I assume, limited kitchen/waitstaff due to the road closures and the power and water going on and off. An incredible dinner. The chef and sous chef did a spectacular cooking demonstration for us and the end result was to die for. The sisters were so gracious despite our multiple requests and questions. We truly had a week beyond expectations. THANK YOU.

The Sun Shines on Albergo Al Sole

First of all, you have to know I'm in love with Asolo. It's part of the 'slow living' movement, somewhat inspired by the slow food movement, etc. But also, you have to take in the influence of Robert Browning and many others and how much they loved Asolo, which brings us back to my review of Albergo Al Sole. The 2 sisters that purchased the hotel and then re-invigorated life into it have done a spectacular job. The lobby is very chic but keeps true to the small town feel of Asolo, the restaurant is truly superb - incredible dishes, I'll call my lasagna gourmet as it was spectacular - the wine list is extensive and on a sunny day there's no beating the view from its terrace. The rooms are diverse while some are more spacious than others; some do not have traditional showers and instead have an 'old fashioned' bath-tub with handheld shower (be ready, but it works!). Remember where you are: it's Asolo and hardly anyone has heard of this amazing village. What else can I say about the hotel: great breakfast, great service (I mean really great - they work hard to impress).

A delicious stay!

We were in Asolo for two nights and very much enjoyed the experience. The town is beautiful and the hotel could not be more perfectly situated in the center of everything. We purchased a package that included a private car to two Prosecco purveyors and dinner at the hotel restaurant, both were exceptional especially the dinner. It was one of the best meals we have ever had with truly great service. We were celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary and it was an evening we will never forget. Thank you!

After the crowds of St. Mark's Square... calm, quiet, beauty, and lunch

We took a day-long tour of the Villas surrounding Venice (that was great, see Casa Foscari, or Villa Pisani), and it ended with lunch at Albergo Al Sole. After all of the hustle and bustle of Venice, this was an astonishingly refreshing experience. This was a first class, white linen experience; the food was excellent and the staff discreet.

We've stayed there many times but we left this time bitter

We've stayed at this hotel 5 different times. This time we stayed for four days as we have had great trips in the past.

On this occasion, it was 35 degrees Celsius, so it was very hot. Our kids visited us right after breakfast and we sat down with them for coffee. The hotel charged us for four coffees which we thought was kind of stingy since we'd just finished our included breakfast, which includes coffee.

But what really got us is that our kids took two bottles of water from the fitness center, which did not indicate any fee for the water.

When we checked out, the hotel charged us for the coffee and $8 for the water and they accuse our kids of stealing it. Obviously they knew these were our kids since they billed our account. They "caught" them on their surveillance cameras apparently.

We think that they should have just comped us the water since we were spending $2000 at the hotel and it was 35 degrees out. But in any case they shouldn't accuse our kids of stealing.
