How to Get There
Just returned from 7 days in Riva del Garda and although we have visited the area before, it was our first stay at Villa Nicolli. We found the hotel to be excellent with extremely helpful and polite staff, first class dining facilities with plenty of choice for breakfast and evening meal. We were accommodated in a junior suite which was spacious and extremely clean with regular changes of bedding and towels. Whilst only a relatively short walk from the town centre, the hotel is ideally located in a quiet cul-de-sac. A multi national clientele are able to take advantage of a first class outside pool area plus quiet garden area. There are also popular Spa facilities to take advantage of. You certainly leave with a feeling of "How soon can I return."
We first stayed at Villa Nicolli in 2016 and were very impressed with the room, the friendly service and particularly the restaurant. The hotel has everything to make a vacation special. The spa is fantastic, the treatments are amazing and the bar pool area is superb. Our only reservation about writing this review is that it may cramp my next booking.
I need to mention the waiting staff who were always brilliant and the girls on reception, particularly Sylvia were incredible. No qualms about 5 stars
Just back from a week at the Hotel Villa Nicolli with a friend. We had a fantastic time. We booked through Inghams on half board. Our room and bathroom were large, plenty of room and double aspect with doors onto the baconies from the bathroom and two from the bedroom. The views were amazing and the area so quiet yet only a short walk to the town and the ferry. Breakfast was fine, choice of eggs served and plenty of cold choices, pastries and cereals. A selection of different coffees and teas.
Dinner was 5 courses and wonderful food, can't praise the food enough. If there was anything you didn't like on the set menu, you could choose from the a la carte at no extra cost. We wanted to try the local wines and managed to have a different bottle most nights. The staff in the restaurant were wonderful and go above and beyond as do all the staff at the hotel. Renato in the bar is a great barman and was very good, knowledgeable and helpful and we had the opportunity to try local gin and brandy.
My friend and I visited the spa which is wonderful and booked for treatments, I had a 75 min facial appointment which included, a hand, arm and shoulder massage and a foot massage for €70, great value! My friend felt she needed a shoulder massage, which she told me was also amazing for €35! The spa treatments are such good value.
Basically this hotel is worth every one of it's 4 stars. It also has fabulous views of the mountains and at the back vineyards.
It is a family run hotel and we think the owners were in the hotel while we were there. The care and attention to detail impressed us. Also on our last morning a lovely letter was on our table from the owners and signed by them and all the staff. We thought that was a lovely touch. Thank you to everyone for making it a great holiday.
I am looking to return next year as my husband would like to go there after hearing about it and seeing the photos. So I hope to see you all again next year. Thank you!
I have stayed at this hotel twice before so when I saw a Secret Escapes offer I knew what the standard would be and that it would be an enjoyable trip. The hotel has been extended since I was last a guest and I was keen to see how different it would be. My friend and I had a three night half board recently and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room was on the fourth floor and had lovely views of the vineyards and mountains. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable.
The food was very good and the waiters were efficient. A special mention goes to the head waiter who was excellent and very careful to make sure that I was provided with a gluten free menu to suit my needs as a Coeliac. It was great to be able to enjoy my meals without the worry of eating something that would possibly cause me damage.
Unfortunately my friend was unable to have the massage she had booked due to a recurring back injury so we didn't get a chance to have a look at the new spa area.
I would definitely return to the hotel in the future as it is very relaxing with friendly staff and in a quiet area. On our last morning we were delighted to find a letter on the table which was signed by the staff wishing us well. It was a lovely touch which you rarely see in larger hotels. This family run hotel has got a lot going for it.
A beautiful hotel and grounds. The hotel is set back from the main road and is in a quiet residential setting, but it is still easy to walk to the central area of Riva. The room was clean and it was nice being able to open a balcony door for air. The indoor spa area was lovely, though seating by the pool could be limited during busy times. Bathrobes and slippers were provided in the room. The outdoor pool looked perfect for use during warmer months.
Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.
