How to Get There
Firstly I would like to thank Gennaro who was so helpful during our stay, answering our questions, helping us decide where to visit, where to eat and being so patient when we were indecisive. The hotel offers a more relaxing stay outside of Sorrento which we really liked. There is a train station a few minutes walk with Sorrento just a few stops away and you can buy your ticket at the hotel. We used the hotel shuttle service in the evenings which you can book at reception which takes you to Vico Equense or the harbour. Breakfast was great and you can sit outside and enjoy the wonderful views. Our room was small and an odd shape with limited storage but we had a lovely terrace with gorgeous views. We also got to briefly enjoy the pool which is lovely to come back to after a day out. Our only niggle was that at checkout we were somewhat baffled to be charged for our complimentary water. When we queried it we were told it was because we hadn't drunk it on the day of our arrival?
If you want the convenience of being in Sorrento itself then this hotel is not for you but we booked it because it was in a more peaceful area and were very pleased.
I stayed in this charming hotel last May and used it as my base to explore the Amalfi Coast; the experience was great. The hotel is well-located, making it easy to drive to different cities in the Coast (hotel has a good garage, essential in the region if you plan to use a car). The view and the pool are great as well, and the service amazing. Finally, I really really enjoyed the breakfast and pizzas at the restaurant/bar (Saporo it's the name I think). Therefore, I definitely recommend the place to explore the Amalfi Coast given what I described and the fair rates for the region.
A beautiful five star hotel with exceptional customer service. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very spacious. Our room had a massive terrace with a spectacular view of the ocean, distant mountains, and the countryside. Simply breaking! The breakfast was excellent with an emphasis on healthier and local delicious patisserie options. The staff from the front desk to the driver were wonderful, very polite and super helpful. This is a wonderful and probably the only place to stay when visiting Vico Equense.
