We stayed here 3 nights. Please completely ignore the negative review about room 246 - We had THAT very room and it was spotless, zero odor, gorgeous view. Now for the staff. We have stayed in hotels all over the world and the ENTIRE staff was absolutely amazing, kind, accommodating. Gave us extra linens and made sure we had water every day. We had in-room dining one night. Food was hot, fresh, beautiful presentation and absolutely delicious. We were impressed with everyone because they went out of their way to make sure we had everything. We had a problem that was taken care of by the manager immediately. The breakfast is not like any other. Always being cared for by servers to make sure food stayed fresh at all times. There was every kind of food imaginable and besides the exquisite presentation, it was incredibly tasty. Rooms are very quiet. Please do consider this hotel for your stay. We loved it and the amazing staff.

Opulence In the heart of Sorrento

This is our second visit to this fabulous hotel and we can’t recommend it enough. As soon as you enter the hotel through its cast-iron gate it’s almost as if you have stepped into another world. The first thing you notice is its beautiful gardens of cascading fruits, fragrant flowers and stunning sculptures.

The reception foyer gives you a taste of the hotel's luxurious style and the reception staff provide such a quick and efficient check-in. The staff are second to none and are what make this hotel so special. I was delighted when they recognised us from our previous stay which made us feel really special.

We stayed in a beautiful room which had a stunning bedroom and bathroom on the lower floor and a lounge area and shower room on the top floor. The balcony views were simply stunning and overlooked the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius, which was perfect for sipping a glass of wine which the hotel had kindly provided us.

The breakfast is located in a stunningly large room with ceiling frescos and some views overlooking the sea. Each morning a lovely lady would play the piano while everyone tucked into their delicious breakfast. The breakfast choice was extensive, from an abundance of sweet choices, hams and cheeses, fresh fruit, fresh juices to order, eggs of your choice, pastries, warm dishes, the choice was spectacular and catered to everyone’s needs.

The terrace was a great place to sit during the day and sip on an array of beautifully crafted cocktails while taking in the stunning views. For a fantastic lunch, I recommend the L’Orangerie located near the pool. It serves a delicious selection of Italian food both traditional and contemporary. I especially loved the baked aubergine which was to die for. Their Michelin star restaurant Terrazza Bosquet was another winner for me! The room is airy and relaxed with a beautiful array of artwork. The menu was extensive and in the end, I put my trust in the fantastic staff to bring out a selection of dishes which were delicious. I especially recommend the Fancy: 22 times tomatoes, which was very unique. We had the chance to meet Head chef, Antonio who served us a very special dessert. It was clear to see how passionate he was.

While staying at the hotel we would often bump into the General manager, Tiziana who was always at hand to make our stay extra special. We would often see her chatting to all the guests which we thought was such a personal touch. While walking through the hotel you were always greeted by the staff and by the end of our stay we felt like part of the Vittoria family.

If you are looking for a stay in a luxurious hotel that is full of warmth and soul then this is the hotel for you! From the exquisite rooms, stunning food and friendly staff, you won’t find a more perfect place than The Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria
