Great hotel

We stayed here for 5 nights, when we arrived our room was on the 3rd floor, I had requested a high floor with views, there was nothing available that night but the next day they moved us to the 5th floor with views of Vesuvius and the cruise ships in the dock. The room was excellent comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and very reasonably priced mini bar. Only thing I would have liked is a wine glass in the room to enjoy the mini bar, there was only two plastic glasses in the bathroom. The breakfast was excellent lots of choice I found it difficult to resist the pastries. The staff were all very helpful and polite, I afraid I didn't get his name but the man we saw most on reception recommended a very good steak restaurant to us and also arranged some trips for us with a private driver, more expensive to do it this way but well worth it. Other travellers have said the hotel is in the wrong position I can see what they mean but for us it was good.

very good hotel near historical centre

extremely clean hotel with well equipped and modern rooms. Liked the friendly and helpful staff. Ok, its on a busy road near the docks but it is only a short walk to the hub of the city. Would recommend for a stop over to unwind.

“How does this have such a high rating?”

My girlfriend and I arrived in the middle of the day and we were astounded by the state of the surrounding area and how this hotel has such good reviews (Are they all fake?) The parking was valet, which is nice, but when I arrived at this neighborhood the last thing I wanted to do was give up my keys. We went up to our room, dead tired after 2 days of traveling and we took a shower. Unfortunately it looks like we used the shower wrong because the whole bathroom flooded with water that sprayed outside the tub from the showerhead. We called the reception and they sent housekeeping. The housekeeper was rude and a half, visibly frustrated with how much water was on the floor. The front desk staff then came to our room to see for themselves and they told us we had showered wrong, but that they would move us to a different room (Upgrade to a junior suite), which was nice as we could get away from the housekeeper muttering under her breath repeatedly about the shower. In the new room the shower was a bit more spacious and we were way more careful with the shower. Room decor is stuck in time (Late 90s early 2000s). Bed was comfy, AC hard to operate. Overall very average, neighborhood was a bit jarring, service and staff was pretty nice.
