How to Get There
Very nice hotel, great quality rooms, fantastic breakfast.
Aircon only blows warm air so windows need to be left open all night and it is noisy, very noisy.
Shower temperature is hard to control which is a bit annoying
Rooftop solarium is a very nice touch.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, the hotel is smart. The breakfast buffet included continental and cooked and wonderful pastries. All freshly laid out.
The rooms were clean and pleasant. Although opposite the Port entrance, this proved to be an ideal location. It was near the port for a ferry across to the island of Procida; within walking distance to the station Porta Nolana to get the train to Herculaneum; and within walking distance of markets and restaurants.
We had booked a room, with 2 single beds- without any other request.
They gave us a room with a toilet for special needs. When we went down to reception to change the room they told us that the hotel is fully booked and they don’t have any room available. on their wedsite and booking.com, they had 4 rooms available(they underestimated us also). After a long talk- fight they gave us a room with a twin bed. And then guess what? The person who separated the beds was from the service of the restaurant!!!!!! Honestly I can not believe that the general manager of the hotel does these things. The front office team also, didn’t have a basic knowledge- when a client is upset with something the first thing that the receptionists have to say is: “we are sorry for any inconvenience that is caused, we will do our best to assist you”. The receptionists are not well trained. It’s really sad that, because the hotel it’s ok and the management sucks. It’s really also disappointing for me that I have to give 1 out 5 on a review.
We stayed two nights at PS and loved it. A short walk from the train station which is what we needed bc we were visiting Pompeii and MV on our first morning. Yes it’s a bit gritty by the train station but once over that the location of the hotel was great. 10-15 min walk to historic centre where we toured around and also ate each evening. The breakfast and waiters were very good and the room was excellent with large bathroom. I would definitely stay here again.
Very clean and nice rooms. The breakfast was excellent and hotel staff very friendly and helpful! The location is across the street from the port. Rooms facing the port are a bit noisy so keep that in mind.
