Room for improvement at the reception desk

The hotel is located near the port, more in an industrial area, but the historical center is within an 15 minute walk. In contrast to other reviewers I never felt that the location was unsafe.

The breakfast had an ok selection, eggs, bacon, sausage with breads salads and pastries. Try the local Neapolitan pastries. They are excellent. You can ask the bar to make you coffee instead of using the machine. The gentleman that were tending the bar and restaurant were extremely friendly and helpful. They would even remember the type of coffee we wanted.

The hotel can definitely improve upon a few things. I chose this hotel because it offered a fitness area. Upon arrival it wasn’t explained that the gym opened at 9. Quite late especially if you are going on an excursion or will start the day early. There is also no info on the welcome pamphlet in the room. I woke up early to get a workout before starting the day. I assumed I would have to use my hotel key to get in. When that didn’t work I went down to the reception to ask. The guy mentioned that it doesn’t open until 9 and that I need a separate key for this that would have to be returned. He didn’t mention that it would have to be returned and reprogrammed each time. He just mentioned that it will have to be returned. I assumed it was at checkout as this would make the most sense and be more efficient. It also makes no sense to open at 9 when no one mans this small fitness area anyway. It’s almost like they try to make it as hard as possible for guests to workout. On our last day I went to the gym assuming the key would work. It didn’t. I explained that I couldn’t get in. I went down to the reception and the lady that was there said that you would need a separate key which I already had. Upon telling her this she looked annoyed and automatically said, “As you’ve been told, you need to return the key each time.” It’s as if she was talking to a kid. Definitely not something you should say to a paying customer. Very disrespectful. Of course if I were told that then I wouldn’t be asking her why it didn’t work. The front office staff seemed generally helpful if you were Italian from my observation but seemed quite cold to foreigners. Anyway this was enough to ruin what otherwise would have been a pleasant stay for us. It’s sad because good customer service is one of the easiest and simplest things a hotel can offer that is generally not an added cost.

Naples Hotel

Quick walk to the main street with shopping/pizza places. Bed was comfy and the breakfast was great! Employees were extremely helpful with mapping out places that we should visit as well. Next time i travel to Naples I will stay here.

Comfortable and well appointed throughout. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast with plenty to choose from including delicious pastries. Coffee served with Italian pastries, the niceties you expect in Italy make all the difference. The staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. The hotel is an oasis in the busy marina area and one I would definitely recommend. I was on a tour organised by Citrus Holidays - this was by far the best hotel I stayed in. I wish they’d all been up to the same high standards.

Great hotel, friendly staff.

The location of this hotel provides easy access to local attractions, the metro, mainline trains, buses and the port, all within short walking distances. Nearby is Corso Umberto, full of shops and the historical centre is within easy reach. So for me the location ticked all the boxes. The hotel from the outside looks great, the welcome from the staff on arrival was warm and friendly and even though we were quite early, our room was ready. The hotel is clean and modern; our room was spacious but if I’m picky, it could have done with a few more drawers. However, it had all the usual accessories, hairdryer, toiletries, free wi-fi etc. The breakfast was really good with a wonderful selection of fresh pastries. Bacon, eggs and a toaster were there too (baked beans would have been a nice addition though!). I have stayed in a few hotels in Naples and for the money this is really hard to beat! The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. One small word of warning though, we booked an early morning call on our day of departure and the call never came.

Hotel Great, could be better area

Hotel was faultless, we were greeted on reception and checked in very easily we were a little early but that was no problem for them.
The room was ideal for what we wanted, the breakfast was good and we found the food and drink relatively cheap in hotel.
Only downside was the location, we did get a sea view however this was over a very ugly factory and several cruise ships, the hotel is convenient for the town about 5 minute walk away but make sure you plan this route using a map, we used Google Maps and the direct route can take you through some pretty rough lanes, we were not threatened but felt that I was on edge especially with my little one.
I would probably stay here again, maybe use taxis a little more to get to and from for peace of mind.
