Liberty-style villa with a residential feel, located close to Capri’s Marina Grande

The Lowdown

Designed in the ornate Liberty style in 1906, this 11-room boutique was once a Fin de Siecle hub for artists and intellectuals, and the hotel continues to lure aristo-intellectual types, especially during its annual “Conversazioni al tramonto” salon of conversations about social issues. For everyone else, the action is all about the terrace garden, with its pool-Jacuzzi, sun loungers and corners for alfresco massages – not to mention those heart-stopping views over the Bay of Naples. The central location means many of the island’s attractions – the bustling Piazzatta (or main square), the beach clubs, the glitzy boutiques – are all within strolling distance.

In the Area

Get into passeggiata mode, pronto, because preening and promenading are some of the favored pastimes on this enchanted isle. Hit the Piazzetta (offically known as Piazza Umberto I) in Capri town to watch the world go by over gelato or aperitifs at the square’s oldest bar, Al Piccolo, then head to dinner at celebrity-magnet pizza joint Villa Verde. Get in some beach time at comely Lido lo Smeraldo, where you can also dine on fresh-caught seafood – the hotel arranges free shuttles to the beach.

Perfect mini moon night away 🥂

We married in Sorrento in 1st June staying in Sorrento for a week around the wedding.
As a gift to us, my new in laws family had arranged for a night in Capri at this hotel. We were given a number to call from the docks when our boat came in.
They sent a car down to pick us up and took us to this boutique hotel. The staff are INCREDIBLE! So so polite and their English is fantastic (me being a small minded English lady that can’t speak Italian) we were shown up to the food terrace where the hot tub was and we had a welcome drink.
We were then shown to our room which included our own hot tub with prosecco and nibbles! We decided to make use of this before having our meat and cheese platter with wine on the roof terrace, then we took the ride up to the main square and ate in a place recommended by the staff which was lovely. The driver then came to pick us up after we called to let them know we were ready to come back to the hotel.
The room and bed were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was stunning and very old style with a modern twist which I loved. The choice at breakfast was endless and the food was incredible.

As a normal working family with 2 and 3 year old daughters, this was such a special place for us to stay and a huge treat which we would never normally be able to do. The staff were amazing as was the hotel and food. I cannot recommend them enough and although you might look at the price and think it’s out of your range, it really is worth it as a treat night if you can afford as it’s simply stunning.

Thank you so much to all the staff that made our one night honeymoon as wonderful as it could be.

First time in a boutique hotel

After our trip to Sorrento, we were looking forward to our next trip to Capri. We stayed at the Villa Excelsior Parco and didn't know what to expect from such a small hotel. On arrival we were greeted by the hotel manager who was very good at giving us ideas where to go on our trip. He showed us many pictures on the ipad. Pepe, the F&B manager then took us up to the beautiful rooftop for complimentary prosecco and nibbles. The breakfasts in this hotel were fabulous. After a busy day we also had hot drinks in the bar area. The hot tub was great - we were the only ones using it - the views were wonderful. We had the use of the free car service to go out and about and we could also call them at the end of the evening when we wanted to come back. The service, particularly by Pepe, was the best we have ever received and would certainly recommend this hotel and look forward to going back in the future. Capri is a fabulous island.

The Best

If you are going to Capri, this is the place to stay!! This was our second trip there and it is still amazing. The staff is unbelievably accommodating and the service is excellent. Marino Pepe, the food and beverage manager, was hospitable, friendly and a true pleasure! The car service was extremely helpful and always a delight! The small boutique feel of the hotel made it so relaxing and private. I can not wait to go back!!! I can not say enough nice things about it - a true 5 star hotel!!!

We went to Capri for our honeymoon and choosing the Excelsior Parco was definitely the best! The staff does absolutely everything to make your staying with them perfect! They care about all the details. Breakfast is amazing, the view from the terrace is spectacular. Plus the driver service (transfer) is absolutly fantastic. The price is the one practiced in Capri and I would recommend - without a doubt - booking with this hotel!

A Fabulous Boutique Hotel in a stunning location

We spent 3 wonderful nights in the top floor master suite 1906. This is a beautiful room and decorated with impeccable taste reflecting Italian style and flair. In reality at Excelsior Parco you are a house guest and not a hotel guest. The staff are outstanding and In particular I must mention Maria the Resident Manager who organised all my special requests and travel arrrangements with efficiency and courtesy and Peppe the Food and Beverage Manager who will remember your name and all your preferences in the correct orderat breakfast and other mealtimes. Nothing is too much trouble for Maria and Peppe. Capri is a very special place and the Excelsior Parco has more charisma and charm that many of the obvious 5 star hotels on the Island
