How to Get There
We stayed for two nights Easter 2018, the hotel has a great location, a hidden gem in the centre of the city, within walking distance to the city centre and as the college was off for Easter the area surrounding the hotel was quite. Check In was efficient and very welcoming, the room was ready on arrival which is rear these days. The room was clean with old décor and a very comfortable bed. The stand outs of this hotel are the staff and the food, breakfast and dinner in the Orchids restaurant was excellent. The only small negative was I found was the bar very small and as food was also served there was little room to relax and just have a drink. I can't wait to return
If visiting Cork you should stay in the Hayfield Manor! You might find a cheaper hotel, but you won’t find the atmosphere, the service and the friendliness you get as standard in Hayfield! Great location as well! Very good restaurants and great facilities within walking distance of Cork city center. The staff are absolutely excellent!
Ok, room rate was by far the highest of all places we stayed in Ireland. But, this property is great. Will absolutely recommend staying here if your budget allows. Location is a bit of a walk from central Cork, but we did not mind at all.
Ate dinner here one night, pricey but excellent. The bar is wonderful and sitting in the back garden in the afternoon was a treat. Will stay here again some day.
We enjoyed our stay at Hayfield Manor very much. We only booked one night as we had a busy itinerary but wish we had stayed longer.
Our dinner at Orchid was wonderful and the staff there was excellent. One of the servers even suggested a couple of things we might want to check out in Cork city the following day which we did and thoroughly enjoyed.
We also had drinks in the hotel bar which was very nice. Our teenage son enjoyed the indoor pool.
The hotel is a bit of a walk to the city centre so we just took a taxi.
We would definitely return.
I have stayed a number of times in Hayfield Manor and it truly is a heavenly hotel. They get everything right - the rooms are stunning, their spa is wonderful, bar and food are excellent, customer service levels are outstanding. It is the benchmark for hotels, and never fails to deliver. Every stay I've had has been happy and enjoyable. It's a hotel that you fall in love with, and will always return to.
