Perfect for concert goers

I stayed in the Gibson the night of a Pete Tong gig that I was attending with friends. For me, I feel like it was the ideal choice in terms of its proximity to the O2 and it is really clean and the rooms are very comfortable but if you are looking for luxury or a great atmosphere I don’t think this hotel is for you. The food in the bar area was the perfect choice before a gig and you simply cannot best the 30second walk to the venue ! The bar is vast as is the dining area and they have draped large pieces of material from the ceiling to try to clearly define the areas and lower the height but it is almost impossible to get away from the feeling you are in an airport hotel or even an airport hangar. The staff were really pleasant and helpful and if I attend another gig I will definitely stay here.

Not great

Popped in here today for food as was meeting people near the point. Service wasn’t great and overpriced. Came out way too quick - a burger and a sandwich. Presentation was ok but tasteless and husband said same. Chips completely undercooked didn’t bother sending back but when girl collected plates I told her politely and she replied well you really should of said earlier!!!!!!! Customer service at best. Lacks atmosphere was surprised.

An excellent hotel with great, friendly staff, good restaurant and comfortable rooms.

Location is spot on for the 3Arena and only a short Luas ride into the centre of town.

Would definitely recommend it!

Stayed at Gibson recently as I was attending a.work do. Plenty of parking in the point village and ask reception when checking out to charge your parking.as they have a discounted price . Reception on the 3rd floor which is serviced by lifts. Staff at reception pleasant. Room was clean and had all the mood cons including safe and tea facilities. Nice walk in shower. Bed & bedding comfortable and noise levels were low. The only reason I would not given this hotel 5 stars was the breakfast staff member that showed me to my table was not very friendly and you could see she was just going through her routine without any interest in their customers, breakfast Buffett range really good but the breakfast plates were cold and the fry was not very tasty.. the Luas stop outside the hotel is great to get into the city quickly. Liked the lighting effect under the bed
