This was my husbands long service award, so the lodge was picked for us!
We were not disappointed, Pat the owner welcomed us on arrival at 09.30, with tea and homemade peanut butter cookies! Pat told us all about the lodge, he then presented us with 2 day hop on hop off tour bus, 3 day Dart rail ticket, showed us on map places to go, restaurants etc! Our room was also ready!
On day 2 we were out all day, it was cold and showery, when we got back we were once again welcomed into the drawing room were the fire was on, plus a pot of tea & cookies!
The lodge was ran exceptionally well, very clean , breakfasts were beautiful
I’ve read some not many negative comments, I’m sorry we couldn’t fault anything, and would we stay again? Yes
Thanks to You Pat our trip was brilliant

Thank you to Pat and Anne for holding our reservation after not making our connecting flight into Dublin. Pat kindly told us how to make the most of our few hours' visit on a Dublin Sunday afternoon by taking the DART to the Do Dublin tour. Breakfast was a great kickoff to our Ireland road trip. The eggs with smoked salmon were divine! Slept great. Pat also encouraged us to seek dinner in a few of Sandymount's restaurants. Take his advice!

Aberdeen Lodge is a diamond

We stayed for three nights with my sister and I warmly recommend this beautiful lodge for all. They all made us feel so at home, breakfast was excellent and the room spotlessly clean. Easy access to city centre with DART and just a few steps to the seaside. The nearby (walking distance) village Sandymount is also very nice with some excellent choises for dinners. All of the area is very beautiful and calm.

Wonderful Comfortable Stay

We were lucky to have a voucher that entitled us to a three night stay at Aberdeen Lodge with Irish breakfast, Dart and the Sight Seeing Bus Tour tickets. On arrival we were greetedd by Pat and served fresh tea, coffee and beautiful home made biscuits. Pat then gave us a very informative chat about using the Dart and the Bus Tour pointing out where to get on and off to visit places of interest and gave us some very handy maps that were well used on our travels. He also gave us details about local facilities in case we wanted to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the very busy city centre. We found the Aberdeen Lodge to be an impressive beautiful traditional house with a lovely welcoming front. Pat, Ann and the team did everything they possibly could to make our stay pleasurable. Breakfast is outstanding with cooked and continental style choices. After you've finished, you need to take advantage of the comfortable lounge just to let your breakfast settle before setting off on your adventures! The Dart is a short stroll around the corner so ideal. If we find ourselves in Dublin again, we will definitely chose to stay at the Aberdeen Lodge! Thank you for a lovely stay and your hospitality...

Superb city break

We would highly recommended Aberdeen Lodge. Accommodation very comfortable and spacious. Staff all very friendly and keen to help. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners, Pat and Anne. Easy access to DART and buses makes the city centre very accessible. Perfect trip, thank you
