Dreams are made of this

Without doubt the best run accomodation in Tuscany, maybe the whole of Italy!

Honestly the care taken by the whole to team to ensure guests are well looked after and accomodated to was exceptional.

This breathtaking 12th century castle has been lovingly restored over 25 years with the private estate now also boasting both a winery/vineyard and olive groves complimenting the landscape and immediate surrounds.

We stayed in a two story private villa with its own courtyard and shared pool (2 pools shared between a max of 9 seperate villa/rooms) but because it’s Tuscany if you want sit by the pool you will most likely have the run of both to yourself during the day when everyone else is off exploring.

I would have preferred a choice for dinner and a broader cellar to choose from, but as is part of enjoying Italy, once you relax into the local tempo and work out how things work, you find that what has been proposed actually works perfectly well and maybe whatever expectations you had were from or for another place.

This venue boasts its own capable and friendly chef, who selects a new menu daily from their own organic vegetable garden, free ranging chickens and complemented by the best of locally sourced produce. Table service was provided by an experienced and attentive team of 4 and guest services was both enthusiastic and comprehensive, from reservations to recommendations.

We enjoyed being hosted by Bradley Cocks who’s leadership and presence links the expectations of guests with everything that our host Neri Baccheschi-Berti hoped we would enjoy

Good place but security issues

This is a beautiful property with large expansive gardens and great views of the rolling hills of Tuscany. The food is excellent and the rooms very stylish. Unfortunately a valuable personal item of mine was taken from my room without my consent. The hotel was unable to explain how my personal item went missing. I would recommend that if you plan to visit this hotel ensure that all valuable items are safely locked as there are security issues at this hotel. The hotel offered me a dinner to say sorry for the incident if I ever went back but I am not likely to return to this property because of this incident. I travel a lot around the world and have stayed in many resorts and villas but this is the first time something like this happened to me.

Best Spa Room Ever!!!!

This place is a hidden gem. It is so beautiful and quaint and the staff and owners really make you feel like family. We stayed in the spa room with a hot tub overlooking the mountain view and we truly felt like royalty. We cannot express how wonderful the stay was. The staff was attentive and the view was amazing. One of the most memorable trips we have ever done!

Truly exceptional

What an extraordinary find.

Well if the beaten track but well worth it. If you are looking for a complete relaxation, great food and wine, this is the place for you.

Rarely do we return to the same place, but we are making an exception fir this one. This could be our home from home!

Amazing property and even more amazing staff!

My husband took me here for my 50th birthday and I am still reflecting on the beauty of it! The website photo's do not do it justice, it is more breathtaking than anything on the website. Additionally, the staff was so thoughtful and attentive as well they did not miss a beat. We can't say enough about Simon and the Veronica's! Don't hesitate to sign up for the cooking class as well!
