Villa Scapone Hotel
What We Love
- Stunning views in picturesque Puglia, with breakfast and a welcome drink includedThe dramatic clifftop location which has to be seen to be believed
- The amazing bird’s eye views over the sea, which make you feel like you’re defying gravity
- Hiding away under a canopied clifftop daybed - your own private retreat
Clinging dramatically to a rocky clifftop with unbroken breathtaking vistas of the Italian coastline, Villa Scapone Hotel is set at one of the best viewpoints in town. Offering seclusion at it’s best, you’ll be able to take in these panoramas in the warm breeze as you sun yourself on an open terrace, relax on tucked away canopied daybeds dotted along the cliff or head to the beach just a short clamber or drive away.
Cool off in the midday sun with a dip in the hotel’s swimming pool or open-air hydromassage pool, dry off on the solarium or unwind with a good page turner on your room’s private and furnished balcony. The charming restaurant boasts breathtaking views down to Gargano harbour and serves up fresh fish and daily catches. End each day with a cool sundowner on the terrace as you watch the sun set over the twinkling water.
How to Get There
The property, as well as the amazing views out over the sea, are breathtaking. We were warmly welcomed with a glass of wine, and showed every courtesy. Our room was large and comfortable with a beautiful patio, perfect for enjoying the sun. Dinner in the restaurant the first night was very good, with excellent service and a very good Puglia wine. The only negative was a large and noisy party on our second afternoon that sent us seeking dinner elsewhere. But that was the only down note of an otherwise harmonious stay.
the view was stunning but the room not as beautiful as in pictures, actually a little cold, albeit it being large. due to an unfortunate family situation we had to leave early and even though we were told we'd be refunded this did not happen. while the view was spectacular and the restaurant nice, access to the sea was uncomfortable and there never was a guard at sea, which made the whole experience less fun. the restaurant of the hotel was good but pricy and the jacuzzi was blissful. mixed experience overall
This hotel appears to survive on its spectacular views. Due to obvious lack of investment it is tired and shabby. Although the staff were friendly enough they seem demotivated. We found the manageress unhelpful. Requested an additional blanket for our bed twice in one day but she did not see that our request was met. Mini fridge did not work and was not stocked. Sun bed covers around pool areas stained. Food average. WiFi is only available by sitting in the hotel reception. Noise from wedding party unacceptable in evening so we complained and had no apology from the management. This hotel has no direct access to a beach although you can go down 200 steps ! to a small jetty and use a kayak or pedalo which are free of charge for 1 hour thereafter you pay 5 euros per hour, to get to a nearby beach. Not ideal. We travel quite regularly in Europe and we're disappointed.
The hotel is on a cliff right on the water's edge. The views are incredible. The restaurant at the hotel is also excellent. My wife and I (and friends) loved our stay here and highly recommend you try it! The father and son combination that owns the hotel are on top of their game.
This hotel has a beautiful see view. The rooms are big and very nice and the bathroom is beautiful! The breakfast and the food are excellent. The location where the hotel is, is incredible! The air-conditioned is in every room. The see is beautiful and you can do a lot of different thing there around.
