Stay Here For Exceptional Service
Reviewed 2 days ago

I travel every month to a new city and I have stayed in countless hotels from 5 star to Hostels in different corners of the world and I can honestly say that I have never written a review about a hotel before because nothing has ever stood out of the ordinary in terms of your standard needs for travelling and comfort. There's been plenty of below average and great but never anything exceptional, and I found that at the Galway Bay hotel.
You can go to any four star hotel like this one and have a comfy clean room with great amenities and great location but I was offered all of this AND the most friendly and above and beyond service from the hotel staff.

I stayed for 3 nights in an ocean view room with my girlfriend for our one year anniversary and I had emailed the hotel ahead of time to mention this and everything else was just perfect from there.
With complimentary wine, and treats upon arrival in our room and the most helpful and kind staff, genuinely interested in and enjoying their work. Its honestly great to see and hard to find.

A particular shout out to Catherine at reception who made us feel so welcome and looked after.

When were next in Galway, we will stay here again.

P.S. The spa was great, full body massage was so relaxing!

Kindest Regards,

Aveen

Lunch in the cafe

I visited the cafe in the Galway bay hotel with my aunt, cousin and friend. We were heading to the Christmas markets and met for lunch first. The lunvh menu was a great selection and food was fresh and delicious. We had the pleasure of meeting a very friendly gent called Stephen Finn. He was welcoming and very informative about the markets and things we should visit while we were there. He was dressed very smart. I think aunt took a shine to him😂 we most certainly be back to visit the cafe and stephen😁👍

Great staff!

I stayed in the Galway Bay Hotel last month and thoroughly enjoyed it! Staff were so friendly, I was checked in by alannah in reception and she was very helpful. She was able to give me all the information I needed, not only about the hotel but also tourist attractions in the area, public transport to help us get around and the great night life. The room was lovely, we had a sea view. I would 10/10 recommend to a friend.

Way below expectations

We arrived at 2pm, and were told we were put on priority and would be able to check in soon. We waited in the bar area and after checking a few times, the room was available at 5 past 4pm. If we knew it would be 2 hours, we could have done something, but instead it was dark at 4.30pm and therefore lost the opportunity.
The bed was really uncomfortable with one side of the mattress lower than the other. It felt like 2 x beds were pushed together and one was lower than the other.
