AlwYs come up to the placencia for breakfast. Beautiful place, over looking the water. Great food and staff. Stop by the ponds to look for iguanas 🦎
Biggest in the area. Bring the bug spray and head towards the ponds, on hot days the big guys are out, also stop at the iguana tree, look up.

My Placencia Resort Experience
Reviewed 1 week ago

When we arrived it was late at night, we were so tired! We were pleased to experience an easy check in experience which included the nicest welcome drink ever! The resort is the perfect place to unwind and make memories! Customer service the best I’ve encountered and the food is amazing!

Very nice resort!

We stayed for a week at the The Placencia Resort and found it to be very nice. We had a 1 bedroom space with plenty a room for the two of us. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The grounds were well kept and the pool was also nice and large. We were always just feet from the beach. Kayaks and paddle boards were available for free and plenty were always available. The pool bar is also nice, but a little pricey. We bought groceries and drinks in town and helped lower costs.

Our only minor complaint was that our phone in our room was not working. We reported it and were told it would be replaced. Two days later we were told that no one in our building had phone service. While it was not needed, I felt it was a safety problem in case of an emergency.

While the Resort is a distance from the village of Placencia, the Resort offers shuttle to and from town at three different times during the day.

We found Yassir, Charlie, and Jose Hernandez to be particularly helpful and friendly. Thank guys!

We would recommend The Placencia Resort to anyone visiting Placencia, Belize.

All great, but don't plan on swimming.

The property is nice and the staff is very friendly. The room we had was excellent, the food was better than I expected, and the beach was well maintained and uncrowded. The only drawback is the water, it's not usable for swimming, so traveling to the tropics and staying on the beach - know that this is not the place if you want to go in the water at the hotel.

Growing Pains

Property is beautiful but started out with a leaking ac unit They fixed it when reported. The drain plug in the jacuzzi tub did not close. Stayed 2 nights. Highly recommend the restaurant on the dock, the other restaurant the ribs were awful. Wish they priced in Belize dollars. Full kitchen but no pots or pans for cooking.
